I think it was an interesting watch. I definitely am not into the hyper-muscled look, but the K-pop look is not my jam either. Masculine without trying too hard is what I like (facial hair is really high on my list). I'm bi and like my girls girly, my men manly, and not much inbetween.

I will say that I am definitely not in the modern generation though, I was born in the early 80s

I think ideally its best to have a mix of both but to be slightly more on the masculine side of the spectrum. However if you don't have the features for that and naturally fall slightly more on the feminine side I could see it being beneficial to lean into that rather than trying in vain to become something you're not. There is definitely value in having a niche appeal.

Being mass appealing doesn’t mean you can’t fit into a niche, and vice versa. I’m actually drafting up a post about what I mean by this, but basically it argues that there are “core” mass appealing traits, and other looks branch off of that. These core traits would be things like height, visible jawline, some variation of a low bodyfat physique, full head of hair, etc. There are women that don’t necessarily enjoy with these traits, but those women are rare to the point where a man might not be able to have a consistent dating experience.

Basically, the reason there seems to be a “mainstream” male look is because the population of women that enjoy it is the highest. It sounds obvious, but this is the core of the issue here.

Even though I’m a niche pick myself, I can’t in good conscience advocate that men try fitting into a niche before trying for “mass appeal”. And, even if he goes for a niche look, he ought to keep some mass appealing traits. Basically, cast as wide a net as you can unless you’re really confident in your niche.

I feel like a broken record saying this, but obviously environment matters too. A guy that looks like Jungkook is gonna do amazing in Asia, even without any fame. He’ll do pretty well in LA, too. At some southern football university? Maybe he’ll have his circle of girls and that’ll be enough, but there’s a good chance that even a guy that good looking will struggle because he’s not the preferred type.

Bretton Maverick gives the kind of advice to being attractive that you would generally expect to get from a guy who was basically born to be a Chad; just be yourself. This guy is lucky he was born with exceptional physical genes because he's got the personality of a rocking chair. Listening to this guy talk is absolutely painful, the way he's forcing himself to have some kind of charisma via personality in a pathetically desperate way of wanting to be an e-celeb.

Normal average men should probably avoid advice from model tier men on how to get women. This guy is saying that being kind to strangers is something that women can't resist. Yeah, if you're a 10/10 man, if you're a 5 helping grandma walk across the street isn't getting you a date with anyone other than the granny who probably just wants to get home to her Hitachi. Being a nice guy isn't a sexual strategy for anyone who doesn't have something else going for him.

I'm glad if this guy's advice works for you op but all that tells me is that you're a good looking guy. Congratulations, you have it easy with women. Of course it's always the good looking guys who want to shit on trp the most.

This is literally a parody. 8/10 Chad gives advice that means nothing to ugly guys because any technique they try won't benefit them either way. It's like a trust fund millionaire giving guys advice on personal finance.

I remember this one guy used pics of the guy in OP's video on Tinder and had attractive women across the globe sending him nudes and videos literally begging for sex. He would leave them on read for weeks then message them and they'd be back on his dick in 8 seconds. There really is no comparison and pretending that top-tier looks aren't the golden snitch of dating success as a guy is just insulting at this point.

During high school/college/early years of work, I drew in some women based on me drawing, initially. Like, a couple of girls saw that I drew stuff and approached me based on that as the "in". Trouble was, I was awkward, and didn't know what to do after that. So even though they approached, and showed romantic interest, I didn't know what to do, or did know what to do, but did it in such a way I became a literal dumpster fire of anxiety and awkwardness. I still failed, and I never even dated these girls.

Cautionary tale, I guess? Lol.

I'm not sure he captured the female gaze so much as women using the male gaze on men, which they do sometimes.

The core of female attraction is still selectivity and hypergamy: they are looking for exceptional men. So you can play up exceptionality without emphasizing male sexual dimoprhism. Symmetrical face, elegant style, insouciant attitude, subtle and refined control over your environment, refined taste, talent, etc. There have always been many ways to play.

I would argue that for the vast majority of women, in some type of GOAT Alpha-Off, the more feminine alpha will likely get out-Alphaed, all other things being equal, by a more traditional Alpha male approach. Luckily, all other things are never equal, and no girl you aim at is going to be a judge in the All-Time, All-World Alpha contest. So indeed, play to your strengths.

Also looking through your other comments I think you're a bit of an outlier. IME most straight women don't like bisexual men or men who wear skirts. You said most of your exes were bi/pansexual so that makes sense. People that go against gender roles are only accepted in very liberal places (northern and western europe and some us cities)

Honestly, probably the most attractive trait is that people act genuine and not like something they've been told is attractive. "Be yourself" is kind of shat on as dating advice but probably the best thing that you can do for yourself is lean into your niche and be the best person you can be. Pushing that all men have to be masculine or alpha or over a certain height or have a certain look to get women is such a lie, sure if your goal is just to have sex with is many different women as humanly possible there are certain types of men who'll do better or worse. But niches are big enough especially if you want an actual relationship and I for one vastly prefer men with more "feminine" traits.
