Both. Being honest and forward is definitely not the only route. It's actually the worst route in many cases. Most men can't just come up to a woman and honestly tell her they want to sleep with her or for her to sit on their face or something and expect a positive outcome.

It's supposed to be fun, yet that's not what women prefer in general. They are attracted to experience and confidence (that comes from experience). No one is talking about any values right now, just about how things are in real life. And as for your example, most people don't necessary have those values before they reach college - they are just children and are learning and looking for their values.

Again, you are wrong. Sure a lot of men are into following women's orders, yet, I suggest you try finding a domme as a submissive man. I hear that the supply-demand ratio is crazier than that between men and women looking for sex. Most women don't want to lead and order, they want a man to just get it. Well sometimes it could work, it just depends if she's attracted to you or not. If she is it will be easier anyways. But I also meant honesty overall in life, women don't need confusion in their lives and drama, much like men complaining about bringing peace, women need that as well.
Women don't care if your virgin or not, just don't be an asshole and follow their instructions women will tell you what they want during sex, these things comes naturally unless you genuinely are incapable of following instructions and have 0 body control of any kind.

Ok, sometimes. So in other words - irrelevant here, since we are talking about men and women in general. You yourself started this with talking about men should do if they want inexperienced women. You were wrong there. You are not wrong saying that sometimes it could work. Sure, there are outliers and such. But it's definitely a horrible strategy in general to be hold onto one's virginity if they want a virgin.
If they don't care, then holding onto one's virginity doesn't increase their chances to get an inexperienced woman. The rest is factually incorrect. Not only assholes do get laid, women also prefer not to teach men or give instructions. Again, sure there exist outliers.

Of course it does. The fact that we are wired to want sex doesn't mean it doesn't. Yeah, you need to stop projecting maybe. If you don't care about it, more power to you. It's been shown that many women (women in general) do care and not in a good way. And if they don't care, then immediately you were wrong saying that men should hold onto their virginity if they want inexperience women. Because, again, it would not increase their chances to get those women if women don't care about men's virginity.

Are you having troubles with general trends or something? Yes, for any given couple it's between them. Yet, it is well known which of the roles the overwhelming majority of women prefers. So, there exist women who want to lead, sure. But most women don't want to lead.

Okay. But why do I care?

I've been with a lot of women, and my gf is by no means the best in bed of the women I've been with. But there's a reason I'm with her and not one of the dozens of other women I've been with. Some of the girls who were the craziest in bed were also fucking crazy outside of bed. But my girlfriend is by far the best woman I've ever been with.

When it comes to a LTR, she needs to be "good enough" in bed. You clear the bar or you don't. Sex is tremendously important in a short term thing, but it's just one piece of the puzzle in long term. The odds of anyone (man or woman) ending up with someone who's the best in every way (physical, sex drive, sex skills, compatibility, wealth, etc.) is very slim. You have to figure out what matters most for you in a relationship and prioritize those things.

It just feels like I'm investing much much more to get that much less than her past partners got.

I spent my 20s working hard to try to become a good provider so that I coudl be a good husband someday. I did difficult classes in college, I stuck out a degree that was challenging, I worked long hours. All of that was an investment in becoming the kind of person who can support a wife and family. Do you think a woman who spent her 20s sleeping around expected her partners at the time to have done all that? Or did they just get to arrive as they were in a way that I didn't?

I spent my 20s as a virgin. I still am. I wanted to wait so that sex would be something special that we share. I wanted that experience of being someone's first and them to be mine. I wanted that experience with all of the awkwardness and raw human emotion it brings. I gave up opportunities so that my future wife could have that from me. Why was I not worth waiting for?

It all raises the question, "Does she really care about me as much as she did her previous partners?". I'm getting less of what I want from a relationship, I'm having to work harder just to get on the starting line.

To draw an analogy, suppose I was freely giving of fancy gifts and expensive dates with past partners before sex or anything of the sort was on the table. Then with a new partner I'm stingy and say I'm not buying her anything until she starts cooking and cleaning for me. Would she be wrong to take that as "I'm just not as into her"?

I'm not religious. And churches kinda want you to be a true believer. I think their values are correct, I think many of their stories are allegorically useful in understanding moral philosophy, but I don't think that they're the literal capital-T Truth as they insist.

Women aren't comparable to men. The bell curve for male bodies, and male behavior is MUCH wider and more diverse than for females.

Sounds like you're working with a lot of hypotheticals and very little experience about dating. Sexual charisma means very different things to different women. Again, I think you're underestimating this in men, too. Being successful with women sexually has a lot more to do with finding out what they want than having an impressive dick. I've had an average dick my whole life and hugely different erection stamina because I've taken different antidepressants over my life. You did discount ones with women by saying it's about who you're doing it with, as a woman. If a guy was freaked out to hear I had hypothetically had sex with 5 people (I don't know what constitutes as a high n-count) but then found out that four of them were women and said "Oh that doesn't count the same" - I wouldn't want to (hypothetically, as I'm in a relationship anyway) date him.

And of course I've never heard anyone say that about a girl, but that's probably because you're going to an insanely extreme example. I'm thinking about the progression of people's early sexual experiences in the context of an LTR. The base system? I get what Shes A Carnival is saying here: A woman who wants a straight partner is going to be turned off by bisexuality or homosexuality as it represents an alternative sexuality that most straight women don't want. An n-count of 1 "guy" = he acted on it, which is why she loses interest.

There's no equivalency with a straight guy's preference for a zero-n woman, however, because her past is consistent with his preferred orientation in a partner. So he's either being internally inconsistent, or if he has issues around n-count it's because the count is too high that he doesn't feel she can bond with a partner properly - if he is seeking monogamy - using past results to predict future outcomes. None of that has to do with requiring women to be virgins, and the guys for whom that's a thing come off extremely creepy and insecure/weird, like they're afraid of women who've had sex before because they're insecure about their own performance so would rather secure a woman who's never done anything.

I literally just never recorded the “count” as it was happening, 20-25 years ago, so of course I don’t “remember” it now as I never had it remembered to begin with. How many friends did you eat lunch with from the ages of 18-23? Are you young? Maybe you don’t realize that things you never even thought to think of don’t exist in your head for recall for 20 years. No one asked me this until I was on this sub. Maybe if I had been asked when the sexual encounters were fresh in my memory I could have done a count at that time. But now it’s lost to time, just like I don’t know the exact count of times I ate lunch with a new friend in this specific age range. When I was asked here once I figured out an estimate by searching memories, but I wouldn’t trust memories that old to not have some missed, especially something like sex where I’ve now done it millions of times more with my partner in the last 20 than I have done it those 5 years added together.

I doubt no one has asked me because they are unconventional, I don’t think most people ask this question when dating and that the people who do ask are the unconventional ones. Perhaps it is regional, though. I dated in a large progressive city, it was expected adults had sex as part of dating. I could see that if someone is dating from a small church where people are trying to stay virgins til marriage it might be a very important question.
