Race is huge. As progressive as people pretend to be, their dating practices often speak otherwise.

Interestingly, whenever I’ve seen anything race-related comments from women in their online dating profiles, the most common things I see are “I only date within my race,” or they will specifically say they aren’t interested in black men.

Middle eastern women are basically white women with more contrasting features. They often have more feminine curves as well.

Attractive White women are also at or near the top of all women but sometimes the average pure white women age poorly or look very basic compared to more exotic middle eastern white women from places like Lebanon or Syria or Iran.

This is obvious to anyone who follows the literature on modern dating/OLD. It’s somewhere on par with height as the biggest factor, perhaps higher since it’s so binary (no gray area where as being 5’10” is kinda tall).

Nothing to see here, it’s completely intractable, people have race preferences and will assert them to their deaths, race-filterers would sooner give a black guy the nuclear codes than have sex with a black guy

The race thing REALLY ends up screwing over Asian guys in America.

Asian women have a strange obsession with only dating white men and many outright refuse to date Asian men. A lot of the emasculating comments about Asian men tend to come from Asian women. I (white dude) remember dating Asian girls who told me that they would never date an Asian guy because they are "too passive/nerdy/weak" or have "smaller dicks" or "remind them of their brother" (this was the most common one).

Asian guys on the other hand are not really seen as sexy or desirable in America and end up REALLY struggling in the dating sphere, much more so than other men. Their own women refuse to date them, and white/Black/Latina women also refuse to date them - generally speaking.

There's a reason WMAF couples are so common, but AMWF is basically unheard of.

Anecdotal, but virtually every Asian woman I've met or worked with was either dating a white guy or married to one.

I remember once seeing thread by a young black dude who when to a predominately white university surprised that most white women aren't interested in black men.

Black men were popular on social media for a couple years. But it's not popular offline.

I told him he shouldn't have believed the hype.

Most people don't race mix. And most people end up with people like them.

Part of that is beauty standards. So if you're from a culture (most of the western world) where most of our beauty standards are based on white/ European then most people would prefer people with European features. Which happen to be.... People of European descent. Surprise!

Culture and stereotypes also play an unfortunate role in dating. The prevalence of bobs and vagene or other creepy/ misogynistic stereotypes about Indian/south Asian men affect how people veiw those ethnic groups

Conversely stereotypes of submissive hot Asian waifu will probably affect men's perspective of how desirable Asian women are.

It is what it is.

I feel like geographically / what you’re used to or what you’ve seen before has a lot to do with it, but for me personally, I honestly have always been open to date people of all races. however, I have noticed that it’s mostly white and Hispanic men that seem to ask me out. I’ve asked out several Black guys and they’ve all turned me down. I’m sure that’s anecdotal but I would be lying if I didn’t say that I didn’t get extra nervous and pretty sure I’m gonna be rejected now whenever I approach a Black man either on a dating app or in the wild just because I’ve literally never had one say yes to me.

Race, culture, and location have big influences altogether. And media influences as well. The men I saw on tv growing up were my starting preference because they were my first crushes (it changed as I got older).

White men are hugely halod by being white. Women are far more racially prejudiced in dating than men. The reason for this is the white race Carries “status” that most other races do not. Women evolutionarily care about the status of men, and men don’t really care about the status of women.

Hmm. As a black woman that didn't really struggle with dating, I think the info put forth is still true. Whiteness is upheld more by minorities than white people in many cases.

Dating as a black woman is interesting because there are sooo many ways to present as black. It's a pretty large spectrum of physical attributes that all get grouped under black. All races of men hit on me but I'm also kinda weird looking. I used to mostly attract men that haven't dated a black woman before so who knows what they were thinking tbh. I married a white Latino and a childhood crush of mine was Joe Jonas...so...had to make my dreams a reality I guess.

But to the larger point, I think black women have a harder start in dating, its stupid to argue that. But i believe making sure we are in shape can mitigate this.

If you are white or white passing you will be seen as attractive by more people just because of that. If you arent that then you are at a disadvantage by default. JBW has always been true. An average white guy can get more attention than an average guy of any other race just off of looks alone. Every other flaw you have holds more negative weight if you arent white.

And I never understood why the race responses and reply rate matter for women. Most have endless matches on the apps and they get tons more interaction than your average male user. On apps a woman has a higher chance of matching/dating outside of her race than a man of the same race does.

i have seen attractive men from every race and i would be open to dating any race. i will admit the vast majority of crushes i’ve had have been on white and east asian men.

cultural and religious differences can often cause issues in interracial relationships, especially if the people are from different countries so that’s something to always keep in mind.

This is almost certainly an artifact of novelty and rarity and not a genuine broad racial preference.

White men are the most attractive to women.

It depends a lot group and area, although it's probably generally true. Black men are most likely the most attractive to women in certain areas.

Coming into these threads as a black woman is always a trip since a lot of average black women seem to struggle with dating but the general consensus is the liberal girls are into nerdy white dudes and the ones looking for traditional gender roles go for latinos these days.
