This is something I've read a lot, not just on The Red Pill, but on Purple Pill and also the dating subreddits. Women are looking for a "high value man" to get his "commitment". They use sex as a tool to gain that commitment (although it often doesn't work out). They don't just want sex in and of itself. They're ultimately looking for that man's commitment.

Why though? If it's for financial reasons, women earn their own money. Many of them earn very good money, more than most men. They have the state to fall back on. And if neither of those things go to plan, they can just get the commitment from a low value beta man and use his financial resources.

If it's for his good looks, why do women need commitment for this? They can just have sex with him without any need for the man to be there for her all the time.

If it's for companionship and fear of being alone in older age, why does the man need to be high value for this? It's better to get a lower value man with a lack of options, so he would be more likely to stay with her. Or alternatively just live with a female friend.

If it's for status, maybe that can be a possible reason. To show off to other women and make them jealous. To show off to friends and family. This seems like a bit of a sad reason, but it's all I can think of for why women need the commitment of a high value man.

In summary, I believe women don't really need men to "commit" to them in the way they used to. Perhaps I'm wrong though. What do you all think?
