DDD really isn't as big as people think it is. In the UK at least, 4/5 women are wearing the wrong sized bra. My friend who most people would say have small boobs (people estimated B-C was a DD-E). People think I have large breasts so estimate a DD-E, but I'm a G-F. Victoria's Secret don't do big cup sizes that would properly fit a large-hearted girl or woman.

Cup size largely depends on both band and actual breast size. A 38A is the same cup size as a 36B. Seriously, the cup size is mostly dependant on the difference of the breast size measurement against the band measurement, and 1in is supposed to be for each letter. A is 1 in, B is 2in, C is 3in, ect. AA is supposed to be 1.5in, except, many makers don't follow any set standard, because there is none in the US, and that causes people to get the wrong band or cup size, or both.

Victoria's Secret don't do cup sizes that would properly fit a large-breasted girl or woman.

They actually train their workers to measure wrong intentionally, so that the cup size is smaller than it should be, as to make that "squeezed cleavage" crap you see in photoshoots. They do make larger size band and cup sizes, but they only usually carry up to around a band size 34 in store, and a cup size of C or sometimes D in store, and anything larger you need to order online. They do not aim any of their products at people with larger breasts or band sizes. This tweet, and their lawsuit from a few years ago actually prove that. I would much prefer a system like the UK, where items are standardized across the industry, so that if you get a 34DD from one brand, you know its going to measure exactly or near exactly the same as another brand.

My comment you originally replied too is over 3 months old.

I guess you know my exact situation and my health to know exactly how much weight I should have gained. You’re truly some kind of special.

You should get help for your obsession with other people’s weight and how they live their lives.

I had hormonal gestational diabetes, my cervix was funneling early and I had to have it stitched shut at 14 weeks. I had to take weekly progesterone shots and I was on insulin, and metformin, my insulin levels were well managed with meds and diet. I actually lost weight until the last two months of my pregnancy. It was my wish more than anything to have a healthy baby.

When they took me off metformin which made me insanely hungry. I was on insulin 4x a day until I gave birth. I gained 20lbs rapidly at the end because my atomic fluid levels dropped below 4 and had to get admitted twice to be put on IV fluids so I wouldn’t give birth to a still born baby. Take out the fact I gained a massive amount of water weight due to that and I had a reaction to them taking me off metformin I maybe gained 10lbs total over the course of my entire pregnancy. If you want to add in everything it was around 30 or 40lbs.

Since my comment was over 3 months old I’ve since lost all that weight and I’m back to my pre pregnancy weight. Want to know more? I have ppd and work 10 hours a day while trying to supply my son with breast milk while at work and am having issues with massive cystic acne due to a hormonal shift which is also making me feel like shit. I have to remember to eat because I feel like I want to drive my car off a cliff every day I leave my son to work at a job I hate and a boss that’s got it out for me.

Hey but by all means. I gained too much weight. Next time you’re bored try browsing cat photos or something instead of attacking a women for gaining weight during a pregnancy.

Oh wait let me tell you more.

In 2014 I lost my son because they didn’t catch my incompetent cervix in time and I got handed a dead baby at 19 weeks. When I heard I was having another boy I was so happy.

I almost lost him too on multiple occasions. I was in a constant state of worry for 9 months that he would die if I did anything. When I found out I had gestational diabetes again I was crushed. My blood sugars were so hard to control at first I would eat an apple and my blood sugar would sky rocket into the 200s. Want to know what my A1c was before I got pregnant? 4.1. Which is better than most people.

I went my entire pregnancy worrying that I would screw up his brain or something while he was developing because my body wasn’t handling this pregnancy well at all.

There was so much to factor. How much weight I gained was the last thing I cared about.

After all my hard work. My son was born 6lbs 2oz. He is perfect in every way. So when you say I didn’t care enough to stop putting food in my mouth. Not only are you an idiot. You’re the worst kind of idiot our society has to offer. Don’t assume you know what people go through because of a comment on a random post.

Scientifically speaking, they don't have the correct chromosomes. I don't know why simply saying that you're a woman is sufficient.

Rather, if we use your personal definitions (which are of course unaffected by your feelings), then it could be true.

Really, I can't prove why the definition was changed. I'd say that it's due to a deeper understanding of gender/sex, which is still a relatively new area of research. But no matter what I say you'll keep saying "oh well according to my definition, they aren't women". I don't really care about your definition though, nor do I see why anybody should. These are the terms used by experts in the field. Your feelings are irrelevant. Your feeling that definitions changed due to "feelings" is irrelevant. The words mean what they mean.

That one study that you're thinking about was on 6-7 transsexuals who had been living as the opposite gender for 25 years, and they might have changed because of the role women played in society rather than it being innate. Then explain the extremely high suicide rates and numbers of trans people who describe themselves as severely depressed both before and after any operations. The problem isn’t needing to be the other gender, I think the problem is not accepting the gender you were born with and accepting that if you are a feminine man then you can be a feminine man. Not everyone should feel like they need to fit into society’s gender roles, that’s the main problem imo.

They do kill themselves. For a TON of reasons, that, may or may not be intrinsically connected to the fact they they live a trans experience. But trust me- transitioning is them trying to save their lives first. There are tons of mentally healthy transpeople. They are healthy because of transitioning. But hey, you must be the expert.

Lets break it down once more.

Being transgender is a PHYSICAL medical issue. Transitioning is a PHYSICAL solution.

Suffering from GENDER IDENTITY DYSPHORIA is suffering from a mental disorder. Dysphoria, the panic and anguish felt, is the disorder. Such like depression, etc.

Treating the PHYSICAL issue helps cure the MENTAL disorder, in this case the dysphoria.

Transition is the physical change. It relieves the transperson of those dysphoric episodes. Cause and effect. Not one in the same. Treat the physical issue it solves the mental issue.

Now, there may be lasting effects of PTSD, Anxiety, depression. These are INDIVIDUAL issues, which need to be resolved no matter who you are.

People don’t come out as gender dysphoric. They come out as transgender. There IS a massive separation between the two. Transitioning is a cure to dysphoria. Its that simple.. and i don’t know why, but people want to believe it doesn’t work. It fucking works. Really. Being trans and having dysphoria are cause and effect. They aren’t inherently connected or the same as you think.

Can a fully transitioned transperson feel severe dysphoria, yeah I guess, but how responsible are they being with themselves and this process?? If a woman had her ovaries removed and uterus removed, her vagina still has a very active sexual function. She no longer has periods. She has to take hormones and cannot conceive children.

But she is in love, and makes love with her partner. It is a natural biological function deeply connected to her brain and identity and sexuality. The Muscles and nerves of genitalia are obviously very deeply connected into our brain. Reacting in ways that are entirely dependent on who this or any girl is.

My post op vagina has all the core physical anatomy and sexual function as this woman, except for a self-lubricating decrease (which to that point, some cis females can be ‘dry’ and some trans females can still definitely get ‘wet’. So there is always diversity.)

So, it’s safe to say i have at the least 90% function as a woman who has had a hysterectomy. And as a heteronormative transgirl I’d take that over a penis any fucking day.

If you want me to prove the anatomy similarities I’m just going to tell you to google it. Mons pubis, Labia minora, labia majora, clitoral hood, a anatomically placed and anatomically functional clitoris and urethra, a vaginal canal with vaginal muscle walls. Like, It’s a vagina.

Edit- i believe its easier to do mtf surgically that ftm which is unfortunate. But I do know that ftm transmen can and get that surgery, can have sexual function (get hard when turned on) and its enough to relieve their genital dysphoria. But I’m not well versed and I believe it requires an implant and skin grafts. Lets look together, we may be surprised to find some ARE indistinguishable.

Lacking the capability to do that is a pretty big deal. No, it is most definitely not just 10% of the function. You compare it to a women's vagina conditional on that woman's vagina having essential parts removed from it, to somehow claim that it is identical to an 'original' vagina. That is just objectively not true then. I know attraction is complicated, and again, no one is saying you should be forced to date someone you’re not into.

Per the first article. It wasn’t really my favorite read, but if it boils down to “don’t say you will never date someone is trans because you might meet someone trans and be attracted to them.” Also, that is just a singular writer’s point of view. I really doubt there is even a large enough group of people that believe this that it could affect you. Being that the amount of trans people is so small, the amount of trans people looking to date being even smaller.

And the rape by deception argument is, interesting, I guess? Not taking into account that there are cases on the page where women were the perpetrators, not just men, it’s a bit of a stretch. If they have changed their gender in the eyes of the government, you can’t exactly say “that trans woman raped me because he’s actually a guy” if I’m the government’s eyes it’s a girl.

If you don’t want to sleep with a transwoman, again, that is your choice and realistically no one is going to be mad. I’d bet that 99.999% of transwoman wouldn’t want to sleep with you. And if you happen to sleep with one, find out after the fact that they were trans, go ahead and try to claim rape by deception. It doesn’t have any legal precedence, nor would anyone actually think it was rape as in most peoples eyes, they are actually a woman.

It would be no different than claiming rape by deception after having sex with a man/women and finding out after that they used to have a different surname.

Why do you have so much pent up anger about a situation that will likely never even happen to you? If you say sweepingly offensive things about a group of people, then it's fair to say that you are prejudiced against those people.

Transgenderism is a mental illness

Right, clearly your main education on this topic has come from Fox News. I don't expect you to admit that you're wrong, but maybe next time try to use the correct terms to avoid embarrassment.

Gender dysphoria is the mental illness. It is the feeling that your physical gender is wrong, i.e. wanting to be the other gender to what you physically are.

Being transgender means that you have chosen to identify as the opposite gender to your birth gender. This is a result of the mental illness which is gender dysphoria.

You say it should be treated as a mental illness, but what treatment do you propose? Because no effective alternative has been found. The options right now are to ignore it, or for them to transition. Only one of those results in a marked decrease in suicidality, and I'll let you guess which it is.

Of course you don't, you don't like that I think that way so you try to lawyer it in that my opinion is bad.

We don't currently handle transgenderism well. We happily claim that they're best off destroying their bodies because their mental illness tells them they have the wrong body. The percentage of them that regret the surgery is high and most transgender individuals just stop being trans when their brain flicks back to the right location. Allowing people to continue living as trans and not working to move them back to their biological orientation is condemning them to die as they have a huge suicide rate that does not decrease regardless of how well they're treated or if they transition.

We need to find a way to get them to realign with the bodies they were born with, not destroy those bodies because their illness tells them they should. They're no different than the people who think they should've been born blind or paralyzed and then destroy their bodies.

There's nothing that makes a transgender woman better than an actual woman for a women's fashion show. There is easily over 100 times more attractive women than transwomen by population alone. I don’t think the folks in this thread understand just how unhealthy the expectations of models are. Somewhere along the way, a healthy woman got called plus size and an underweight woman got called healthy. Plus size doesn’t mean obese women walking the stage, it means healthy women who happen to be the size of whatever it is that fashion companies decided is “bigger than normal”

Transgender women are women.

Doesn’t matter if you are pre or post OP, if you’ve decided you are a woman then you are a woman. If you want to be called ma’am. If you want to wear a bra. A woman is a woman, regardless of what she was born as. It’s called transGENDER for a reason. Gender is a social concept, sex is not. Hence, a sex change. A transgender woman is a woman the second she commits to saying she is a woman. It is not an illness anymore than homosexuality is (which is to say: not at all).

I think it’s fair that Victoria’s Secret is saying that their audience has interest in a plus size or transgender show. But I do. I think it would be time for a welcoming and upstanding company like Torrid to come forward and say “yeah we’ll do the show and we will use any health model and woman, transgender or not.”

Howdy there. Plus size is often identified as size 10-14, but can be explained as 8 and up in fashion, or sometimes 16+ in retail. Tess Holiday is absolutely what is considered “Super Size”, at a size 22, which can go up to and include people who are obese.

If sized correctly and without manipulated numbers by the fashion company, the average American woman is a size 14-16. If anything, this is so slightly above what is considered “perfectly healthy”, which is a size 12 on average, but average sizes are always skewed by the obese minority as well as inconsistencies in sizes. The vast majority of women are healthy and plus size. 68% of women wear a size 14 or higher. So are you really trying to say nearly 70% or American women and call them obese?

The term plus size is commonly misconstrued and I dare you to do your research for once and try to figure out exactly what is plus size but also what a plus size woman looks like. Tess Holiday is an extreme outlier who is largely lying about her classification.

Ashley Graham is a size 14 plus size model. She was the first plus sized model on the sports illustrated swimsuit edition.

Denise Bidot is also a plus sized model. Please google image search her.

Every group has its exceedingly vocal members, and this one is no exception. The ones who found it within themselves to come out about something they can’t change in the face of massive and seething adversity often like to talk about it. There is nothing inherently wrong with sharing one’s struggle, and it genuinely helps a lot of people who can’t do the same. A solid amount of the trans people I know are quiet about it. One of my best friends is unable to transition and only now has found the footing to tell her friends the way she actually is inside. They’re not all vocal because not all of them can be, but that doesn’t change a thing about the fact that they’re trans. It’s not a matter of attention seeking - more a matter of finally being able to claim one’s identity out loud.

Before I was exposed to the world where women can get away with murder (luckily the tides changed pretty quickly, and society seems to be coming down harder on these women now) I firmly believed in the justice system as well as society to prosecute people for their wrongdoings regardless of their gender or race (how naive, ignorance is bliss right?). But of course, this isn’t true and hasn’t been for a long time, when I became aware of the imbalance I began to take more of an interest in seeing women knocked down a peg. Being a man and also seeing the prevalence of the pussy pass, naturally the men who do wrong things didn’t really matter to me because in my mind they are being taken care of already.

The remainder of men that aren’t seem to be more a result of the justice systems shortcomings as opposed to lenience based on gender and as such are part of a separate issue that I’m not concerned with as it doesn’t specifically target any one gender. It’s just a problem in general and a more complex one at that. Of course I would love to see every person who breaks a law that harms or endangers other people brought to justice but that isn’t an issue of gender inequality.
