I'm white, and I'd be pretty unattracted to any sort of racism in a girl. It just doesn't line up with what I'm looking for. I wouldn't go as far as saying these girls are racist, as everyone is entitled to their own preferences and so forth, but I wouldn't waste my time with girls that are seemingly proud of completely excluding a race from potential dating partners.

Realistically there will be more girls who are NOT closed off to the idea of diverse men. Asian girls that say this are self-hating and baggage you don't want to deal with anyway. They are just trying really hard to be white, and to me, it's really sad to see. Most of the time, they are either adopted or grew up in a super strict household, thus they have a poor perception of what Asian males are like.

I spoke to an Asian girl one time (adopted) and she told me how she hates Asians (i'm asian). This didn't faze me at all, I knew what I was dealing with and the reasons behind them, so I just tried to get her to see that being Asian is a good thing and not to hate herself for it. She started stroking my dick in no time.

With white girls that say this, I noticed it usually comes from ignorance more than anything. Pretend as if she never said it, exhibit your confidence and soon enough she'll say something along the lines of "You're different". No, you're not different, you are who you are, you only showed her that stereotypes are just that - stereotypes. Don't get fazed by racist shit. Either find something witty to say, or completely ignore it if you aren't that quick. Showing unreactiveness gets her to completely throw that "You're Asian" barrier out the window because for you, it's really no big deal.

Too many people see Asian as an obstacle, when in reality you can use it to your advantage. Be proud of where you're from and do some research on your heritage. Learn your language and visit the country...being exotic while understanding american (in my case) culture is a huge turn on for women.

Take what I say with a grain of salt, but I would ask them why, and make sure they explain every reason. I would do the same thing as with students: socratic method. Ask them why they think that and why they think every other thing until they realize how stupid they sound in their own ears. In some ways it's a waste of time, but racism should never be tolerated. They were having a circlejerk until it's confronted by someone with a more open and educated opinion.

I would also make certain you let those kinds of women know how unattractive they are. When I hear women around here talk about how much they hate Native Americans, they immediately become unattractive to me.

I'm going to sound real bitter here, but even though racism isn't a big deal anymore, figuring this is 2013 (the civil rights issue now is gay rights), it still exists.

Going to college in a small town where 98% of the Asians here are foreign exchange students (different clothing, culture, that really bad language barrier, and different social experiences) I often get written off as one of them as well. I follow everything here. I dress well, I go to the gym 5 times a week, and I make sure I approach with a smile.

I really do my best to dismiss anything to do with race or anything that I CANNOT control. It gets a bit discouraging when you approach people at our bars and you can't even have a civil discussion when anyone but when someone else does the same original approach, that person gets more attention.

I guess I just sound like I'm trying to use some sort of scapegoat to blame why I'm at fault. It gets annoying when you written off as an exchange student with a language barrier. I know this has happened to many people; you have a class and have to work with a foreign exchange student and your preconceived thought is the awkward language barrier problem.

Vote me down if appropriate. I just need to vent because I'm feeling frustrated at the moment.

There's a stereotype about Asian guys that, like many stereotypes, are founded in common experiences. I've dated Asian women and they all say the same thing about Asian guys - they lack sexual passion, but are very demanding in relationships. I don't know if this is true from personal experience, but if you hear it enough, you start to wonder.

I've dealt with stereotypes as a white guy. I go for hispanic women - especially Puerto Rican and Dominican women. Many have told me that there is a stereotype of white guys having small dick, being boring in bed, and scared of confrontation with other men.

I often consciously do subtle things to communicate that I'm "different" than most white guys. Like I'll approach very bold and direct, say something sexual early in the convo, and carry myself like I'm not afraid to throw down if someone steps out of line. It's not really an act, as all of that is congruent with who I am, but I put it front and center if I'm talking to a big booty Latina with hoop earrings, smacking her gum, and her hair bunched to one side. And look at me - stereotyping HER because of her appearance. But the results are better when I do this, than when I don't.

My suggestion to you and other asian guys is to get over the stereotype women have of you - it's there, you gotta deal with it. It's there because they've experienced something and are now generalizing, as ALL humans do.

Adapt - come in with what they expect you to lack, and cut what they expect you to have. More than anything, women are turned on by uniqueness - they like to meet a guy that is "different" - he's exciting, and she starts wondering what he's like in bed.

I'm half swedish half macedonian in Sweden and my mindset is that I get judged because of it. I don't look swedish at all, even though I am 100% swedish in my own eyes (only speak swedish, don't know about any macedonian culture or traditions).

It's something I've been working on a lot and I believe I have improved a lot. The most important lession I've realized is that if someone is racist or judges me because of how I look or where I have relatives from, it's a person I do not want to be friends with or even hang out with.

The best thing to do is not deal with people who don't understand this/have no inkling to try and change this mindset. It's deep-rooted and systemic; it's difficult to combat. This post really bothers me. Guess what? They don't date Asian guys - it's really not a big deal. If the only reason you talk to people at parties is to potentially date them, you're going about it all wrong.

I don't date white girls, and I don't date black girls. Will there ever be an exception to the rule?... probably. Am I proud of it?... No, but I don't have second thoughts about bringing it up when I'm in a social setting. That being said I have no problem at all being friends with white girls or black girls. In fact, most of my female friends are white.

Race is just one factor that I look for in a potential mate. Looks, fashion sense, hygiene, flakiness, intelligence, and many other things play an important role.

There is nothing wrong with being honest about not bwing attracted to a group of peoples. This is not the same as being racist. I dont find most indian or black girls attractive. I do not hate them or have anything against them. Purely preference.

Find the girls that do like asian guys and dont bother with those who dont.
