UPDATE: Thank you all very much for all the positive advice that you gave me. My parents and I sat down with the mother and father of the kids this afternoon, and the parents completely support me. The aunt had written me an apology, but it hardly felt sincere. As one could expect, I did not accept. My parents are looking into enacting a restraining order on the woman, in the event that this were to occur again. I have agreed to continue babysitting the children, with the parents promising me that should they expect s guest they will inform me. They also told me that they will not hold me accountable for calling the police if a guest arrives unannounced. They also accepted my apology for leaving the children with their aunt without having checked with the parents first. As previously stated, in the near future, I will be getting a restraining order on the woman, something that the kids parents agree with. My parents and I also contacted our local police department, and explained the situation in case the woman tries to tell her twisted side of the story. I plan on taking this experience as a horrifying learning experience, for lack of something better to call it. Again, thank you to all of the positive comments, and the ones that gave me good advice. I truly owe you guys.

16 year old male here. Using a throwaway for the anonymity of all people involved.

One of my parent's best friends asked me if I could babysit his kids last night. I'd done it before, and his kids adore me.

I didn't have a problem with watching the kids, so I told him that I'd be at his house by 5. His kids were overjoyed to see me. We played a board game, made cookies, and everything was going great. It was getting later in the get, so to calm the little rascals down I put on a Christmas movie. About halfway through the movie, both of them were sound asleep. It was only about 7:30, but I decided to let them sleep.

The doorbell rang a little bit later, and I got up to answer it. The sound woke the kids up, and they followed me to the door. I opened it, and a woman was standing outside. The kids ran to hug her, screaming "Auntie!" but she hardly paid any attention to them at all. Rather, she grabbed them, and ushered them behind her, eying me suspiciously. I held out my hand, introducing myself and telling her that I was the babysitter. She pushed past me, dragging the children with her and pulling out her cell phone to make a call.

I assumed she called the children's father, as I could faintly hear his voice through the cell phone. The woman told m that there was a strange man alone with the children. The father said something I couldn't quite hear, and the aunt freaked out. She yelled at him how dangerous his decisions were, and how I could have been raping his children. The little kids were still standing right there, confused as to why their aunt was screaming.

The father told her something, and the woman stared right at me with a horrible glare. She asked me to leave the house, to which I replied that I would like to talk to the father if that was alright. She refused to give me the phone, and told me that if I didn't leave the house right now, she would call the police and tell them I had molested the little kids.

I could see how that the children were on the verge of tears, completely confused at the situation. Not wanting the issue to escalate further, I quietly collected my things, got into my car, and drove home. The father called me, apologizing profusely for his sister-in-laws behavior. He told me that he would deal with the situation when he got home, and call me in the morning.

This morning, I got a text from him saying that when he and his wife came home, the aunt was asking the little kids a bunch of leading questions, trying to get them to "tell her what I had done to them" as he put it. The father told me that he and his wife did not share the aunt's views on the scenario at all, and apologized again for her behavior.

Honestly, I feel like absolute shit right now. I know I shouldn't, but for someone, even someone crazy, to think that I could ever molest a little kid is absolutely soul crushing. Any advice from the wise people at Mens Rights on how to handle this situation?
