So I keep seeing this narrative pushed on here that the gender war going on online doesn't represent the real world.. I disagree. I would confidently say that for anyone my age (mid twenties) or younger social media plays a huge role in our lives. Most young people probly spend equal or more time on social media than they do socializing in the real world.

When i see people claiming the "gender war" is restricted to the internet and not happening in the real world i wonder what exactly they expect to see. Men and women are never gonna start duking it out or take up arms against eachother in a literal war lmao but social media is where people get to say what they really want to say. Youre kind of forced to be civil to everyone else out in public.

TLDR: social media plays a huge part in the social lives of most young people and the gender war has become so popular its impossible to avoid on social media. I do think the online gender war represents how many people feel inside even if they cant express those feelings out in public.

Opinions?
