The sound of sports on TV and male voices screaming about games was the soundtrack of my childhood. I was conditioned to expect that the only time true men cry or show any other emotion besides lust and anger is when their team is losing. Days- and weeks-long depressions cuz their team lost. I grew up in a football house and hated it so much. My dad and brother would get so He-motional about it, especially when their beloved team was playing.

I'll never forget how UPSET and straight up pissed my brother got when the 9ers lost the super bowl one year. It's so ridiculous! It was like somebody close to him died!!!!

Like, yeah, I'll get into the mood if I'm at a super bowl party but the way they get all upset is just awkward, scary, and ridiculous.

Not here to judge how people get emotionally invested while watching sports, but what is it that men turn into possessed beasts and feel entitled to beat people down and destroy things because their favorite team lost a match? I remember how at some point I'd avoid leaving my house on Sunday evenings because of the soccer hoolingans in the streets. I'll admit I am a fan of football and enjoyed growing up watching it with my family. My family are all from different areas in the states so there were times when we would be actively rooting against each other lol but it was always in good fun. Thank God none of them are Neanderthals like this moron. Just embarrassing.

Also my team has suffered pretty bad losses for the past 10 years, including losing a superbowl and I've never once acted out like this. What a loser.

When I was a teen, my dad told me that football is a fun thing for men to watch and bond over, but if a guy's mood is significantly affected by a sports game he's not playing in, then he needs help and to steer clear. wise words.
