I have oily hair/skin and combined with some products I use, and even though I never go to bed without showering, I too need to wash my sheets frequently. But STENCH? That’s a whole other level and not something I can relate to at all.

So when I was still at uni, I had a part time job as a cashier at a supermarket

There was a lot of smelly customers but one smelled so vile you could smell him when he was in the queue waiting to be served

The other colleagues would take the piss out of him behind his back but be nice to his face

He was absolutely vile and had an equally vile attitude

Many times I would just leave my till just before it was his turn to be served by me, and I’d say I’m going on break (I’d only do this when the manager wasn’t around),

The reason was because this awful smelly customer would deliberately wait in my queue even though there was another till free and then he would slowly put all this items on the belt and then slowly pay and then slowly put each item one by one into his trolley

He would do this on purpose because his stench made everyone nauseous

That’s foul. And I’m sorry but women who cohabitate with men like that, I’m questioning your hygiene too. Cause if a man slept overnight in my bed and left a stench and stains on my sheets 🤮 blocked. And I’m saging my entire bedroom.

Oh my god 😷 terrible diet + lifestyle combined with probably never properly washing himself in his life. Like im sure he “showers” (maybe?) but probably doesn’t scrub or use soap or warm water. I dated a guy who didn’t use shampoo. As in….never shampooed his hair (he had long hair too)….just because he “didn’t believe in it”. Yeup….most men literally smell so bad because of their diets (meat/protein shakes/fast food). I don’t invite men to my house because I won’t be able to get their stench out of my upholstery for weeks 😷

He was a big gym freak stallion who worked out 5 x a week but had some weird repulsive habits

For example not showering straight after the gym

I said ‘you smell aren’t you gonna shower’

‘Nah I feel manlier without it, I like the feeling of sweaty pits after the gym grrrr’

‘Right, but the stench is offending my nose I literally can’t cope with that it’s repulsive’

Him: 🥺🥺🥺🥺 fine. I’ll shower. No need to be bitchy

Like wtf??? Why do men put us in these scenarios like we are their mother.

This guy was a 6’4 grown man. But he was like an overgrown toddler inside.

He looked normal. But he wasn’t.

Also he hated opening the Windows in the summer

Never met someone with such a phobia of windows

Despite college halls being tiny & claustrophobic

It was like a sauna and his bed sheets were full of sweat. It wasn’t even normal levels of sweat.

Hence I only stayed in that bed once. Before gasping. Since he didn’t like opening windows

He tried blaming it on his ethnicity which was the most BS excuse I’ve ever heard bc I’ve already dated men from his background that don’t stink.

I said no it’s definitely a YOU problem. That YOU need to fix bc the next one isn’t gonna like it either.

I said you don’t shower after the gym but you’re there all the time

I think that has MORE to do with it and also the fact that you don’t open windows in blazing summer heat!!

He was like no no, it’s because of my genetics.

With a grin.

I thought okay manchild I’m peacing out from here.

Long story short. He didn’t last long.

He chose his sweat & weird habits over pleasing me.

This is prime example of how men don’t take feedback well .

Oh btw he’s still single & tries to stalk me on Instagram.

So clearly hasn’t learned his lesson.

They’re like children.

Luckily that’s the only sweaty ex I’ve dealt with.

Men are smelly, it’s one of the reasons why I don’t want to share a house with them. I had to live with male family members and their odor lingers around the house all day.

Ok so to be fair, my spouse isn’t this bad BUT I can relate to a fair amount of that post. He has zero health issues (he’s a physician), works out/lifts 5-6 days a week, extremely clean… like clean freak actually lol, buuuuut is also SE Asian and eats a lot of salty stinky foods (think fish sauce). On top of that, sebum production levels tend to be higher in Asian individuals (part of the reason they have such great skin). He has always been embarrassed by the stains and heavy odor his body seems to leave on sheets when he sleeps. It’s odd because it’s not apparent on his body (aka he doesn’t smell bad while I’m next to him etc) but when his body is pressed against white sheets for 8-10hrs? Different story. This guy this wife speaks about might be legitimately disgusting haha but wanted to offer an alternative possibility
