Dudes whose only photos are awful, unsmiling selfies.

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen car selfies taken from their lap (no one looks good from this angle, and you certainly don’t look “tall”) or awkward public restroom mirror selfies.

it’s probably not a good idea to post a photo of you shirtless in bed with ruffled hair.

And this is a personal preference but I hate gym selfies and shirtless pics on dating profiles but I’m not looking for someone who works out daily, I like a little squish.

No bio except "just ask." Literally why. Everyone here knows writing a bio sucks. You do it anyway because it is your only chance to make an impression. I do not give a crap how hot you are, if I see "just ask" for a bio I am swiping left. That conversation is going to be a one-sided interview, and it will be like pulling teeth.

When I used it there were only a couple hard passes for me, and both were related to the written section. No bio, or short bio with no meaningful info ("Ask me"). If you're so uninteresting you can't come up with even a single paragraph about yourself, no thanks. And then randomly offensive bios, like trying to look badass or something? Shit like "Most of you on here are dumb and vapid". If you hate them so much, why are you trying to date them

Women who seem angry or combative. The "if you can't handle me at my worst" type quotes.

This doesn't happen often, but some of the craziest ones were:

A woman said she got tired of waiting for Mr Right, so she got a sperm donor and had two kids. Her profile pictures included her pregnant and another one of her on the hospital holding her newborn. As far as I can tell, she was still looking to date. If her dating life was bad when she was single and childless, not sure how she expects it to be with two screaming babies.

Another woman liked me on a dating app. She was poly. And very unattractive. And one of her pictures was her family - her with her husband and her two kids. All four of them were flipping off the camera.

Women with lists of demands or lists of life achievements.

Women with a whole profiles of selfies clearly trying to hide they're fat.

Women with only drinking and bar photos.

Obvious thirst trap photos and Instagram tag in bio.

The weird snapchat filter which has their face in the background.

Any mention of politics, ethnical non monogamy, or religion.

Profiles which say: 'I delete this constantly', 'never on here, DM on Instagram', 'anything you want to know just ask', 'dog mother', 'plant mother', 'where are the good men?', ' I hate these apps'

My pet peeve are profiles that list their strict requirements who swipe right on me first. Lmao it’s dramatic but I think my profiles are pretty telling that I’m never gonna meet or even attempt to meet those requirements.

Women profiles are rarely bad but every now and then I see somebody who’s pics are extremely dark lighting wise, clearly taken prior to 2013, and/or have very close up selfies. Make me think they’re serial killers or something.

Is broke and/or in severe debt.
past relationships were all "abusive".
tired of the games.
is a "straight shooter" i.e. opinionated
has a picture of her ass or tits hanging out but is "not looking for hookups"
"if you can't handle me at my worst...."
conservative and/or religious/born again Christian
is also an ardent feminist when she feels like it.

What she wants in a man:

someone with a good job (money and status)
someone who doesn't want more kids but will support her and her kids (financially)
someone tall (6ft+) and good looking
someone who is child free with no baby mama drama
someone who is willing to "take it slow" and not be too sexual from the start.

In other words, she is a fat, opinionated bitch who will make you pay for everything and will make you wait for sex. She complains about the low quality men she always seems to attract and now wants a Good Man (to pay for everything and offer her a lifestyle she likes). She takes her beliefs seriously, except she already ignored the no sex before marriage part by being a single mom.

Steer clear of these women. They are hypocrites. They want a traditional relationship with all the benefits without being traditional themselves. There is a reason they are single and find themselves repeatedly pumped and dumped!

Lists of requirements. Doesn't matter if they're reasonable requirements or not. It just comes off as bitchy. Like meeting someone at a party and opening with "don't talk to me if you're a smoker, are after a one night stand, or are unemployed". You do the filtering when you get to know them, not before. Unless you're only after someone who'll tolerate bitchiness. In which case, mission accomplished?
Nothing in your bio to talk about. You don't want every conversation to be "How's your day", "What do you do", "What do you watch". The whole deal with small talk is to find common ground. Make it easier by putting that common ground up front.
Only group photos. Especially if they all look similar. I don't want to have to figure out exactly which blonde girl holding a glass of wine you are.
Obvious attempts to hide unattractive features. MySpace angles have been around since...MySpace. They didn't fool anyone then, they're not going to now. Likewise easy on the filters.
Photos of kids. Your kids, other's kids, doesn't matter, don't put photos of kids out there!
Justifications for weird photos. "Not my kids in pic", "guy in pic is roommate". Just take a different photo without them FFS.

These things puzzled me too for the time I tried dating apps. Oh, and with the poly couples, when they just have a pic of the girl as the main pic because the guy isn’t as attractive, so you don’t realize it’s a couple right away. I feel like this is mainly a problem for bi girls. Like even if I find both of you attractive, I’m still looking for a relationship with just one human. So just at least have the decency to make it clear you are a couple, even if you don’t bother to read my profile.

Not gonna lie thou, they have huge social medias with lots of female followers.

Whenever you see a picture of a man in an OLD, the first thing you should think of is "oh men picks suck", but "hey, this guy is ugly, but that's as ugly as he can get, while I'm hiding my true self behind an extremely well calculared process of thousands of picks taken and filters aplied to create the ilusion I'm more good looking than I actually am".

IMO, pretty bold of women to asume that a "good picture" is a picture of you who actually does not show you remotely close to who you are.

Yeah, honestly, "possing" feels fake and cringe as fuck to me, as a man.

And this comes from a 33 years old dude who's actually build like a superhero from Marvel movies or something (funny enough, I often get compared to a younger version of Hugh Jackman haha).

Everytime I ask a girl to take a pick, they are like "ok pose a little" and I swear I'm like "I'm not a model you fucker, I'm not getting paid to do this, this is just so my mom sees I'm wearing the leather belt she gave me for my birthday so just take the damn picture!".
