This isnt hyperbolic.
This isn't an attempt to make "different" men or nerds or Aspies play by "normie" rules. This is intended to keep them from playing at all. This is intended to force these men out of society.
This is all intended to marginalize and ostracize those men, to force them out, and to make them sit on the sexual sidelines. This is an attempt to keep those men away from women and to desexualize these men so that women don't have to deal with them. This is an attempt to criminalize and demonize anything and everything they do, so as to control them and force them into seclusion.
All for the purpose of sanitizing society of "undesirables" so women don't have to see these men, talk to them, deal with them, or address them. What you're seeing here is nothing short of gender cleansing.
Go away you asshole ugly men. Just pick up my garbage, fix my computer and smartphone, change the oil in my car, and make sure the power and water and internet work. Otherwise stay the fuck away from me. You're interfering with my mani/pedi appointment, my Tinder time, and my fuckbuddy time.

I feel similarly. The whole dating game and its social expectations is just alien to me. So I don't want to partake. But my dick still feels nice when I touch it, so I'd like other ways to make that happen.

I'm not attracted to boobs
When you see an attractive naked female, does it sexually excite you more so than if she was fully clothed?
I don't have a so called "male ego"
are you competitive? Play online video games? Sports?
I find feminine and sexually submissive women disgusting
Those are 2 vastly different things. Do you not notice attractive girls when you're out in public?

[–]geyges🐇 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Care to explain ?
I'm not going to argue with you about how you feel.
What I can tell you from my perspective is that the amount of qualifiers you have, and reading between the lines you're hedging every single thing. Words like "sometimes", "rarely", "fascinated but not aroused".
Just nuancing your way through the whole thing. And honestly I have no interest in how you practically differentiate fascination from arousal for instance because I can already tell its just going to be more hedging.

So its not off the list, and I assume the list is not very long.

-What is, my lord?
-Nothing.

But if you wanted to keep "undesirable" men out of the sexual game, wouldn't it make more sense to provide as much outlet for their sexuality as possible? Instead, those outlets are restricted. Isn't that forcing those men to interact with women, who presumably don't want those men to interact with them at all?
[–]Sir_manalot 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
It is out of hatred and/or entitlement, not logic that this happens.
Many women want the benefits of men working there ass off stepping over each other to prove themselves “worthy” of sex. But they hate the fact that they eventually have to give something back.
And since one fuckbot hurt her one time, she can take it out on these innocent men too.
It creates toxicity and hatred, but women do not care.
Giving men a sexual outlet would result in men also being sexually liberated which is good, but also makes it so women can no longer control men and exploit them.

It does seem to me this entire thing is about control. But I'd rather like hearing from someone how it isn't, because I don't really like that conclusion.
Whether you like it or not doesn't matter because that is probably the reality of the situation and people don't want to address it because it both doesn't sound good and because it's the truth.
[–]AnnoxisTenebraerumMan attempting to be reasonable -2 points-1 points0 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Without the notion of quality, which we have sacrificed on the altar of tolerance, humans relationships become purely transactionnal. If you want relationships not to be about control, you need to recognize the individual moral value of other people and your desire to be with such people and to simply strive to be someone better. You need to think about what you can give, not what you can take from people.

Yeah this is all a massive shit test meant to force men to self reject themselves so that women don't have to be put on the spot and for men to assume responsibility for everything so women won't have to. The fact that it's working so well is a testament to both the power of the female hive mind and to how much it benefits the powers that be.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yes. Self rejection. Someone did a post here years ago arguing that feminism and current restrictions on men were designed to get men to self-reject - to avoid interaction with women so that women don't have to even deal with them, much less reject them.

Garbage man’s route isn’t likely to change just because he moved, but he could’ve just as well moved to another street that’s also included within his route. Therefore, he’ll still be paid to unload his own home’s trash.

Are the 18 to 25? Because that is the generation that has 1/3 of them as sexless. That generation will eventually be the ones that have to pick up where the last generation left.
I just look at the future and fear for what would happen with a significant percentage of the male population believing that society does not give them a viable path to happiness.
A society that does not give me a viable path to happiness is a society I will not defend and a society I want destroyed to build another one that will take me into consideration. I am lucky, I got my path to happiness. If enough men don't have it they will fuck shit up and I couldn't blame them for it.

Because its not happening and isn’t likely to happen? Societal collapse/descent into anarchy would need to be global, and is much more likely to happen because of disease, natural disaster, resource conflict or some thus-far unknown calamity than sexless dudes

Only 19% of women in that age group are sexless compared to 32% of men. It's obvious that one of those numbers is much higher than the other. Plus those women could easily open up tinder and get laid in about 30 minutes if they wanted to, can't say the same for the men.
[–]SaBahRub 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

It’s technically meant to marginalize and ostracize physically abusive-predator men. Yknow, the ones who rape children and the ones who rape anything
The fact that you think this marginalizes all men, tells me EVERYTHING I need to know and only further proves me right that males are natural born predators that need to be civilized because testosterone made them so superficial and aggressive that all they think of sex sex sex
Testosterone: increased sex drive + increased muscle mass + increased aggression = Dangerous Predator

Ah yes, the elusive hatred against cishet males, oh what will you ever do with the global hatred of cishet males oh no let’s stop everything we’re doing to appease your wittle oppwessed feewings
I could say something like "the fact that you think that this one dude's opinion reflects on all men/males further proves that estrogen = irrational thinking", but I won't, because it doesn't, and I have no proof of that and I don't believe it in the slightest.
You can’t prove that statement because there isnt science/statistics to prove that claim. There is however the fact that males make up 96.8% of reported rapes (FBI 2018)... or maybe the fact that males with lower testosterone exhibit higher sympathy ... my favorite is the fact that testosterone inhibits crying, aka lacking the faculty for empathy
I know it sucks to come to terms with the fact that your sex is, by nature, morally inferior. But it’s imperative that you realize that you non-human predators are ill suited for civil society and need to actively work towards humanity...

Your claim citing it is comparable to saying saying “African American’s commit more crime
That claim fails to factor in the literal fact of slavery and its residual effect still seen today... Males don’t have that... males took control via brute force... WE ARE NOT THE SAME
Neat of you to skip over the fact that 96.8% of REPORTED rapes are committed by males (FBI 2018). Here’s another one: 96% of murders are committed by males (UNODC 2013)
Males rape more women than women do
Males rape more males than women do
Males rape more children than women do
Males rape more animals than women do
Once again; We. Are. Not. The. Same.

Sex is a social, interpersonal act, so if you have poor or atypical social/interpersonal skills, sex is one of the things you will struggle with. It's unfortunate, but it isn't anyone's fault.
The complaint of a porn shortage is ... unique. There's more porn out there than ever before.

x is a social, interpersonal act, so if you have poor or atypical social/interpersonal skills, sex is one of the things you will struggle with. It's unfortunate, but it isn't anyone's fault.
That's my point. Some men struggle with it. That's their problem. So they might decide to leave that game and pursue other methods to get sexual stimulation. But there are efforts to close those off and I find that problematic.
I didn't say there's a shortage of porn. I said there are efforts to regulate or even ban porn and, as I said, I think those efforts are problematic. Not a perceived shortage of porn.
If people are burning books, we condemn the action for its symbolic value, not because we actually might run out of physical books.

If you believe that, simply because you have a penis rather than a vagina between your legs, you need to “prove” yourself worthy to the opposite sex, you’re thinking about it counter-productively.
The best you can do is treat women the same as men until they show you they want to be put into a different group (friend, romantic, etc).

I didn't ask what to do to get unpaid sex with women. That ship has sailed and I am not blaming anyone for it. My point is that with me deciding not to take that path, other avenues are closed off, so I'm forced to take that path, following rules I do not want to follow.

So you are for consensual porn and prostitution? Because that is the question that OP raised, and your response was to derail by bringing in abuse and illegality.
If legality were controlled for, then you think women would be okay with men enjoying porn and prostitution?
[–]SaBahRub 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Yes, somewhat; it would not make things between the genders more amiable, but act as a substitute. Also, I cannot speak for the female hivemind
But, like communism, I have doubts that either of those industries can work in practice as they do in theory

Wow, thanks for actually answering the question. You have a well-reasoned point but it is hidden far below all your non-relevant comments. Wish you had posted this earlier, then OP would have seen this.
[–]SyrusDrake[S] -1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
You're arguing semantics. Fair enough, sex does involve other people. In that case, I do not want to have sex. But I still want my pp to feel nice, however you want to call that.
I did acknowledge hyperbole. Of course there'll always be porn. What I said is that there are moves to have it heavily regulated. And that's not even mentioning movements that actually want to make it illegal. Just because you don't support those doesn't mean they don't exist.
[–]SaBahRub 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
You know there’s a trillion-dollar industry whose whole purpose is to make your pp happy? Like, really, really happy, to the point of addiction?
[–]ApoIIoCreed 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes it does. Would you object to consenting adults make their own choices regarding sex -- i.e. legalize sex work (keep pimping illegal and punish it very harshly)? OP's point is that un-sexy or dweeby dudes' only real chance at having sex is to perform the part of a non-nerd. Let's just tear down that barrier and let willing, consenting, and non-coerced adults make free market transactions.

As Royce once said, the goal of feminism is to restrict male sexuality as much as possible while unrestricting female sexuality as much as possible. It's best to just ignore it rather than try to reason with it.
[–]SyrusDrake[S] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Yea, but you can't really ignore it if it results in actual laws and regulations.
[–]SaBahRub 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Those laws are to prevent other humans from doing stuff they don’t want to, or seek redress when things they didn’t want happened to them
You do understand consent, yah?
That's why I specifically said in my original post that I understand most of those efforts.

2D porn is fine as long as you don't base your expectations IRL off it.
RL porn is fine as long as you don't base your expectations IRL off it.
Escorts are fine as long as you abide by their rules and don't base your expectations of real relationships off them.
If you weren't properly socialized as a child, you have my sympathy and I highly recommend therapy to help better your social skills. Being aware of a lot of social norms allows you to be somewhat accurate in predicting what is likely to be seen as positive and what isn't. If you disagree with a norm, think about why so you can articulate it and therefore more easily find compatible prospective partners (or at least not waste more time than you have to).
A lot of problems non-neurotypical (and even some neurotypical) men have with dating can be boiled down to social maladaptation and stunted emotional development. And a lot of women have the same problems. The most you can do is communicate as much as possible with each other to make sure you're both on the same wavelength and that no one's going to have expectations that the other isn't even considering.

Those are your opinions and that's great. But it doesn't change the fact that there are efforts to restrict all of those. Doesn't help anyone if you think escorts are fine if they're made illegal.
This is missing my point. I am not asking how to make women sleep with me. I have considered that path and come to the conclusion that what's expected of me there is unacceptable. I'd rather keep my hobbies and interests and avoid expected activities. My social skills are fine for platonic interactions but I am not suitable as a sexual/romantic partner. That's fine, I understand. But leave me other avenues to get sexual satisfaction.

I don't exactly have a say in what you can or can't do unless it involves me specifically. And I don't agree with restricting access to things that don't hurt anyone.

men have with dating can be boiled down to social maladaptation and stunted emotional development.
And this is an opinion that is based on what?
Let's say we look at just one social trend: rise of sexlessness in men, do you attribute the increasing maladaptation to the decline of parenting of males in particular?
[–]GGMcThroway 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
Men who don't pull their weight in a relationship and instead treat their partner like a second mother they can fuck.
I attribute it to the lack of socialization with their peers from a young age and the assumption that they're too immature to behave at the age girls are expected to.

How so? An example would be helpful.

Technically, if you count the increase in two-income households. Otherwise it's just becoming less acceptable.
Raising kids with screens and paranoia about safety.
"Boys will be boys."
So I assume you agree that applies every bit to girls as it does to boys. Perhaps even more so for girls in terms of "safety".
Would it be safe to assume you'd also agree with me that the primary source of problem here is technology, and that just based on the outcomes, it seems to elevate females and leave males behind.
[–]GGMcThroway 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Of course.
No. I see technology as a catalyst, not as the problem itself. I also think it leaves women behind as well, but that the female model of socialization already in existence is what's stopping them from being left behind as much as males (and likely only due to the fact that female socialization already emphasizes communication over physical play, though that's damaging in it's own right).
[–]geyges🐇 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
not as the problem itself.
What's the problem then? If tech doesn't decrease our socialization, what does?
[–]GGMcThroway 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Lazy parenting and a lack of subsidized childcare.
That's kind of my point. If a man is unable or unwilling to behave "maturely" and decides to not pursue real women, because "mature" behaviour would be expected of him, wouldn't it be fair to let him satisfy his sexual urges in other ways and just let him be?
[–]Competitive-Cuddling 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link
The same questions can be asked for just about any mainstreamed socially “mandated” behavior.
Why is “Fuck” a bad word and why can’t we say it? Why do we have to wear shoes in a business? What are manners really for anyway? Why can’t I dress and look like tekashi69 and not be hired by most companies in a job interview? Why do I have to make eye contact while in a conversation? Why can’t a chew with my mouth open and belch loudly and frequently without scorn and judgement?
Culture.
Part of the big issue with racism in the US, is actually a cultural one.
If the question is exclusively about “male sexuality” though, I’m still confused?
What specific behaviors is OP being required to adhere to in order to receive sex from a woman freely of her own will, that he feels go against “male sexuality”?
[–]SyrusDrake[S] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
This is specifically not my point. But if you choose not to adhere to certain behaviours and forego real sex, then the avenues you have to get sexual stimulation are being undermined. If you think everyone should be forced to play by these rules and only get sexual stimulation through social contact, then that's fair enough.

As far as actual sexual interaction, when it comes to prostitutes and really just living your General Life, it only makes sense to vote for people and measures that shoot for maximum freedom, but a lot of people are against that so we know how that story usually goes, and yes most women are The Gatekeepers of sex so you do have to navigate a certain way in order to get that that's how it's always been
Now over the past week I saw a number of post in here talking about bisexual women, now I don't believe the majority of people are bisexual or anything close like that but even though we're probably as sexually accepting as we've been there's a number of guys who feel restricted more so than women on what they can do, over the past year I've been in a casually but monogamous covid fuck-buddy relationship (that's grown more serious I will say) but she's a trans woman, her dick is even bigger than mine no lie lol , now I've never really spend my life caring about what people think or social stigmas but even to an extent I was a little hesitant to pursue that relationship but now but we have an excellent time together

Your entire second paragraph is one run-on sentence and I'm having trouble figuring out what point you were trying to make with it.
Were you saying that if men reflect on their sexuality, and try something they normally wouldn't, they could find that they like it? Which creates a viable sexual outlet that OP left out of his original post?
I apologize for the run-on sentence, my stance simply was female sexuality is allowed more fluidity in today's society, even though of course it is opening up more and more for men, it was just a final point tying into the restrictions of male sexuality.
I'm not suggesting that anybody get with a gender that they're not attracted to or anything like that, just that if you do get those feelings for another man, or in my case transsexuals, don't let society hold you back and explore your feelings
[–]JohnnyMnemo 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I think your headline is more interesting than the topic.
Why, when men take their shirt off or show more flesh than their face and hands, is the automatic "ewww" reaction and the men apologizing, but women are encouraged to take off as much as possible? Can't men love their bodies as well?
Why are women "empowered" for having vibrators, but men are "pervy" for having fleshlights?
Why do women get to publicly embrace their sexuality, but men are shamed for admitting that they have sexual impulses at all?
I mean, yea, you could extend my argument to those examples as well.
[–]REEE_XD 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I do see what you’re saying here and it’s a bit of a problem to me too. I hate having to put on an act to be sexually successful. Either you put on an act or you get so caught up in the act that you actually believe that’s your personality.
You put the hentai thing into perspective too and it makes me wonder why real, possibly expoloitative porn, is still more socially acceptable than something animated even to the people who claim to care about how men get their nut off. Which doesn’t make sense to me either, why do you care if some basement dweller actually jerks off to fictional 900 year olds that are supposed to resemble children?

It's the validation market. The suffering of LVMs (especially from lack of sexual needs meet) makes everyone else feel better about themselves. This is why even the options of reducing sexual needs (either through religious or other esoteric means) are shamed and generally seen as degenerate/deviant/sus. It is the repression that makes their suffering valuable on the validation market.
Thus even solutions that aren't exploitative won't be implemented, because it is not in the interest of the haves to let the have nots stop caring about having those things.
If all that sounds nonsensical, think of it as why poverty won't be solved even if it's telling the poor to be less materialistic. Since that would make wealth lose its value as those suffering would start suffering less because they don't want it as badly as before.
[–]LabNo3096 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Men have restricted their sexuality because it's very bad for society and civilisation to have men competing with each other and no rules. Look at history of ancient China and ancient India. Those wars were bloody and have no rules.
Then you had monogamous Europeans (at least at the surface) wiping the floor with every other race and culture at least twice: Romans and British. All of that was possible because men could travel far (and conquer) without worrying much that their wifes will be fucked by other men (it happened but such a woman was ostracised by society).
Currently women have 'liberared themselves from patriachy', but most men are still following the 'provider' strategy (at least most of current 30+ men). However, I can see that current 20yo boys are more and more blackpilled. If not in this generation, then in the next, men will 'liberate themselves' and that will be very sorry view. Go to West Africa and see how inequal society is there - there are a few very rich men with their side girls (continously rotated and replaced when they getting close to 30) and everyone else stuck in poverty.
The truth is that male sexuality is much more dangerous. I don't mean those 80% of average men (because they can't do much damage), but those top 20% who are noticable and can mown girls one after the other. I had my two-years period (after being cheated on) where I fucked lots of girls (around 1/3rd of them in LTR, at least two were married), broken many hearts and was awful human being overall. I am just a 7, imagine what 8 or 9 man can do. I came back to my senses and married eventually, but imagine a man like that who does it for life.
Some of you will reply that polygamy is the way. Let me ask you something - do you think that one even the most alpha man can deal with a few desperate guys? Nope. We simply don't want to came back to ancient times and wars.

Just living in society makes you "play by normie rules". It isn't only about dating, it's about education, work, almost all other social interactions. And it's pretty hard to live without them, because you still have to pay for things, get income, go to the doctor/dentist from time to time.
And if we count just voices as attempts to regulate men's sexuality, we can say pretty much the same about women's sexuality as well. It will have its own twist, of course, because our problems are different, but one still could make it seem that there are a lot of attempts to restrict it.
Moreover, you forget that somewhat sex-positive society is pretty new for us. Back then it was regulated even harder maybe with an exception for prostitutes. Depending on a country a man without enough money couldn't marry, because he couldn't afford bride price, extra marital affairs were heavily shamed and sometimes even punished, no easily accessible porn and it also was illegal in some places, even sex in a couple was regulated by some religious directions.
What we're seeing now is far away from it and I'd say that it's attempts to find the middle ground, a compromise between personal freedom to express and explore one's sexuality and safety of others.
Edit: and, well, you've exaugurated your points in order to suit your idea. The problem is that all of them can be argued about and without their support your whole point doesn't make much sense.
I mean, I'd extend my argument to those areas too, if you want. Yea, there are certain rules that are necessary for society to function. But there should always be choice. You should be allowed to make the choice not to work for money and still have access to healthcare, for example. Maybe not the same healthcare as others, but you should be allowed to make that choice. Similarly, you should not be forced to get sexual satisfaction from sex with other people. If you want, you should be allowed to masturbate to whatever porn you choose, as long as it doesn't harm others, for example. My point is that that choice is being restricted.
That's kinda what I'm inviting people to do, so be my guest.
Healthcare is a universal right, it's not really about choice, it's about providing people with what they deserve according to our humanistic ideas.
I don't get your intentions. From one hand, you've listed points that can be argued about and you've intentionally exaugurated them for confirming your idea, from the other, you want to argue about them. Do you want to argue about prostitution and porn?

It’s always greatly benefitted men to bend the rules which are prescribed to them. But now, it’s essential.
I seriously don’t know how any fully blue pilled men get laid. To be honest, in my experience I’ve observed that most of them don’t. Many men who claim to hate incels are in fact incels themselves and are projecting their own insecurities.
Blue-pilled men typically either date below their own attractiveness level, or just accept being whipped and having 0 control in their relationships.
It’s overwhelmingly the case from what I’ve noticed. Almost any man who is highly successful with women and fully in control of his sex life is at least to some degree red-pilled, even if he doesn’t describe himself that way.

So either you express your entire sexuality by rubbing one out to nothing but your imagination
But then you're objectifying a woman in your head!😤
Joking aside, I do agree that no matter what avenue you pursure it will be met with some criticism and basically they do want unnatractive or nerdy men out of sight/out of mind. However I don't see it going beyond that. I would be shocked if they ever sucessfully get rid of porn or prostitution. Pornhub still exists and so do countless other sites. Xvideos is better than pornhub anyways imo, there are also countless women posting nudes on Gonewild reddits too. So yeah there's criticism but thats all it will be for the forseeable future.
[–]SyrusDrake[S] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Yea, all those things will always exist. My point was more wondering if efforts to restrict them exist for their own sake or in an effort to restrict male sexuality as a whole.
[–]Bandit174🦝 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh, I'd say a combination of both depending on the topic.I think there is genuine concern for sex workers and people being human trafficked and also that they find male sexuality innately disgusting on a visceral instinctual level and especially so if it is an unnatractive male. Like even if it was garanteed that the sexworker was not trafficked and just wanted to get rich easily they would still be viscerally disgusted at the notion that an unnatractive man is allowed to have sex with her.
However in regards to 2d characters and no big boobs I think that one is mostly just restrictung male sexuality and honestly that one pisses me off the most. Like it's totally fine for women to idealize 6ft tall broad shouldered men with big dicks yet if guys prefer bigger boobs or find fat women gross then it's suddenly problematic. Women judge male attractiveness far more harshly and find a much smaller % of men attractive. On top of that they get far more sympathy and support for their insecurities despite them having less reason to be insecure in the first place.
I can be sympathetic towards the porn and human trafficking arguments but I will never be sympathetic towards the beauty standards ones until it starts applying to men as well which it probably won't.
My point was more wondering if efforts to restrict them exist for their own sake or in an effort to restrict male sexuality as a whole.
I think they are all just afraid of men, and are trying to control them as much as possible. See how much disdain even MGTOWs generate, for completely walking away from women.
The greatest power womankind has over men is shaming. If you don't care about their attempts to shame you, then there is nothing they can do.

Especially in light of the GA shootings.
It's all based on the Blue Pill narrative that women are giving up sex and men are giving up resources. The thing for average and below average men is that the Beta Providership gig is over.
Something is going to have to give. Sure, it's fine women want to share Chadcock among themselves until such time they MIGHT "settle down" (settle) for some Beta Chump to fund the Baby-years after which she'll divorce rape his ass.
But for men who are not socially or sexually appealing, there has to be an outlet.
Feminists would have these men simply sit and suffer in silence. Ironically, these are the same people who want to make it a crime for a man to "with-hold intimacy" in an intimate relationship, while still defending a woman's right to with-hold or refuse intimacy at any time for any reason. (Feminism always floats on a boat of hypocrisy and double-standards).
Look at the sex robot concept. Before prototypes even existed, already a radical feminist is trying to ban them. (See: Campaign Against Sex Robots)

At the end of the day, they'll want to make it illegal to fantasize about a women you once knew (or saw at the mall) while tugging your man meat. I mean, do you have consent to think about that's person's likeness? (This wouldn't surprise me.)
The OP is correct. This is about policing male sexual nonpersons who are allowed to work and serve society but not get any sexual pleasure. The formula is "all females and only approved males" are invited to the party.

pornography is less about male sexuality and more about male paraphilia. you’re watching two people have sex that don’t involve you whatsoever. you’re a peeping tom. much of porn is of teenagers, trafficked people, mentally ill people, or revenge porn, so you’re a voyeur at least some of the time and may as well peek into a neighbor’s window and watch him have sex with his wife. even if it’s ethnically sourced, consensual, fine, and good, you’re still jerking off to some other guy having sex. a ridiculous amount of boys have erectile dysfunction now because they discovered porn as children and now prematurely ejaculate or have death grip. it’s not normal.
Okay, cool. That's your view on pornography. That's not what I asked though. Or rather, it kinda touches on the problem I described. Porn is the only alternative for some men. Why would you try to take that away?
[–]noafrochamplusamurai 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
This seems like an entitlement fallacy. You are correct in that you don't have to play the game if you don't want to. However, you don't get to be upset if you don't get any prizes like the contestants in the game. The avenues of sexual stimulation aren't as cut off as you think.
A big part of my personality is being nerdy, I wouldn't consider myself aspie( although I do some of the traits) but I'm definitely neurodivergent. Yet I have been successful in the dating/social life. I don't put women on pedestal, I don't buy drinks for random women as a way to flirt with them. I will never subscribe to an onlyfans. I don't even go to very many bars, I'm not great at taking pictures for dating profiles. All that and I still find sucess, and you can do it also.
In the original Star Trek movie, they highlighted that captain Kirk, was the only starlet cadet that ever passed the Kobayashi Maru exam. It was a role play scenario that cadets acted out on a starfleet bridge simulator. It was a surprise attack simulation, that was randomized by an AI, everytime a command was given, the AI would counteract with another problem. This would continue until the ship was eventually destroyed. It was designed to test them under pressure in a no win situation. There was no solution to the test. Everyone failed, except the Kirk. He got access to the AI before the test, and he changed the parameters. You need to be like kirk, change the rules of the game to fit your skillset. That part will be unique to you, make your own rules, and adjust accordingly until you get success.
If that fails, join a swingers party group. Half the work is done for you. It's just a bunch of horny people that wanna fuck. Being astute at gamesmanship isn't required. Every region has a club, there's probably at least one in your town. Give this a look over

That wasn't really my question though. I didn't ask how to get sex with real women. I pondered what other avenues there are and how they're being undermined. Or would you say it's a good idea that the only form of sexual stimulation is through real sex?

Yes, real sex with someone that willingly wants to have sex with you, out of desire. Is better than transactional sex.
Well, yea, it's better. Staying in a five-star hotel is better than staying in a youth hostel, but we still have both and everything between because there are different people with different needs and budgets.

You're not entitled to sexual interaction. If you can't find someone to consensually fuck you, that's not the problem of the people rejecting you. My pussy is not available for charity events.

I specifically said that I accept those rules. You're telling me women's pussies are not available for me, which I accept. So I want to find other ways to make my pp feel good. But those are being closed off too, which I think is problematic.

Please read my post before just angrily commenting. Some people may like to masturbate to porn, for example. But there are efforts to restrict access to that. That's the problem.
I specifically wrote that the final decision seems to be to masturbate with no aid, or to partake in the dating game.

All of that suggests that there may be some appetite for expanded regulation of pornography. More active prosecution of already existing obscenity laws, as the letter called for, is one option. Another is the approach outlined by Terry Schilling, Executive Director of the American Principles Project, in a November article in First Things: filtering at the ISP level, "domain zoning" porn sites to .xxx extensions, and stripping certain legal immunities from sites that publish obscene materials. Such regulation would follow the approach that the late drug-policy expert Mark A. R. Kleiman called "grudging toleration," charting a course between full legalization and a full ban. "Grudging toleration" would focus on making acquiring pornography more onerous—e.g. through opt-in or credit card requirements—and targeting the worst of the worst actors (like market monopolist Mindgeek) with already existing regulatory authority. Can the Trump administration get away with banning porn? Almost certainly not. But there is a lot of evidence that Americans, especially women, think porn is immoral. An agenda that zeroes in on those Americans' concerns, and targets porn's worst excesses, may be more successful than many libertarians imagine.

You're completely missing my point.
Yes, you have to eat. But you don't want to go to Walmart because you disapprove of their business decisions. So you go to local store. Walmart buys them and/or drives them out of business. You decide to buy seeds and grow your own food. Walmart buys the company and now sells the seeds exclusively at their stores. You set aside some of your own seeds so you don't have to buy them. Walmart lobbies to make growing your own foodstuffs illegal. In the end, you either buy at Walmart, or you starve.
If you think the need for food and the need for sex aren't comparable, you could rewrite the parable above with radios and it becoming illegal to build your own. You don't need a radio, but you'd still be pissed if your only options were to buy it at a store you don't like or just not having one.
There are other ways to satisfy your sexual needs that don't require you to play by the rules of the dating games. My entire point is that those other avenues are being undermined.
If you think that's not a problem because people don't need sexual satisfaction their entire lives, that's a valid opinion. But it makes it impossible to see the problem from my perspective. I think that people do have sexual needs and that there should be different avenues to having those needs met. You may think it's okay if only Walmart sells food because as long as you can get food, all your needs are met. I contend you should have the choice where and how you get your food.

Turning the tables if you were presented with sex or a relationship from a woman who was unattractive to you sexually or romantically it would be unfair on her and you.
That's precisely the point though, that half the comments seem to be missing. I don't expect anyone to have sex with me. It would be unfair on them. But I'd still like to have avenues of sexual stimulation and not have those avenues taken from me.
People are not issued a partner, or sex, or a job with no effort.
Exactly. If I consider that effort to not be worth it, should I not be allowed to check out of the entire process altogether?

Work on social skills and healthy confidence
This point can f right off. Socializing is too much stress and effort for not enough benefit. And it's the one of the main reasons why I've given up on finding someone. If the price is constantly having to socialize, I'd rather be alone for the rest of my life.
I’ve never met someone who doesn’t enjoy socialising in ANY environment though.
I do socialize online.

I wish you hadn't removed your post, fortunately I read it before you did. As a woman who has had social difficulties at times in my life and has felt unattractive at certain stages, I have some sympathy for young men who feel like the deck is stacked against them romantically. But, to completely opt out because you believe there is no hope is to reduce women to a Stacy stereotype that simply isn't true. There is a lid for every pot, truly. I know the process of finding that person can suck, but that's life, and if you find them the relationship can be richly rewarding. The idea that you have consigned yourself to jerking off to 2D images that barely resemble actual humans and are robbing yourself of the pleasure and fulfillment that comes from an intimate relationship with another person makes me deeply sad for you and for all the young men who feel this way. Most of the best things in life come as the result of hard work and perseverance. Romantic relationships that are functional long term are no exception. Are people so lazy now that they just don't want to bother interacting with other humans? The implications of this for society long term are quite troubling, and it's funny you mentioned 2D images because the Japanese are on the leading edge of the sort of dysfunctional culture that results from relations between the sexes having soured to the point where most people can't be bothered to marry or have children. It's a sad cautionary tale that could easily become the story here too at the rate things are going. I'm quite glad that I grew up pre-internet and some men in my cohort are still capable of being able to engage in a normal sexual relationship with a real woman.
The other important thing to note here is that there is no conspiracy, among women or anyone else. Several simultaneous developments, including the internet, assortative mating, the rise in autism spectrum disorders, globalization, social media, helicopter parenting, and probably a number of others, coalesced to create a situation in which a subset of men has essentially decided to drop out of society in terms of human interaction. Can we reverse this? I don't know. But if we don't, the consequences could be dire.
I wish you hadn't removed your post, fortunately I read it before you did.
I didn't, it was unfortunately removed because it didn't fit the sub's guidelines.
to reduce women to a Stacy stereotype that simply isn't true.
I never did that. You're reading incel rhetoric into my completely unrelated motivation, which, unfortunately, is quite common. I never said all women are "Stacies" and that's why I am not getting any. I said the general effort and expectations to get a relationship are unacceptable to me, so I have decided not to pursue them. This isn't judging women or anyone else. It's just a relatively neutral observation.
There is a lid for every pot, truly.
I have been told that same thing for about 15 years now. At some point, you have to accept that real-world data does not support your hypothesis.
The idea that you have consigned yourself to jerking off to 2D images that barely resemble actual humans and are robbing yourself of the pleasure and fulfillment that comes from an intimate relationship with another person makes me deeply sad for you and for all the young men who feel this way.
This is your own interpretation of the situation. I neither see my forms of sexual outlet as unfulfilling. And while a "real" relationship might be rewarding, I am not willing to pay the price for it. Some people spend most of the time working for money and consider the financial benefits fulfilling and rewarding. Others decide that the effort is not worth it and prefer having more free time. Neither decision is objectively correct. Maybe being in a relationship would be rad, but I think me having all my time and money to myself, being able to do the things I truly enjoy, and entirely be myself without having to fit a mould, those things are more important.
Are people so lazy now that they just don't want to bother interacting with other humans?
This is a very restrictive and patronizing view. There is no moral imperative to interact with other humans. It's unreasonable to expect rewards for no effort. It's unreasonable to expect a relationship without doing any social interactions. But it's valid to not put in the effort and not expect the reward. I prefer cooking my meals myself. But I don't think people are "lazy" for just heating a ready-made meal in the microwave. I decide to put in the effort for the reward, others don't care about the reward.
I'm quite glad that I grew up pre-internet and some men in my cohort are still capable of being able to engage in a normal sexual relationship with a real woman.
Again, you're assuming men are "incapable". Maybe they simply choose not to.

It kind of seems like with sexually dimorphic species, one sexuality is limited as a consequence of the other's being less restricted or unrestricted. Just a hypothesis though.

I would think porn, and the effects of addiction to it etc are still going through the motions of settling after the boom. Things like 2D in the UK for instance can be child porn if it depicts a child (by reasonable person standard, not what made up age you say they are lol). As the boom happened relatively recently there's still a lot of studies being done on the subject but it's a fear of anti social behaviours stemming from normalisation of watching fucked up porn.
30 years ago you were a complete wierdo if you watched incest for instance.
