Growing up, I am sure that many people were told that "you never ask a woman about her weight" and have heard of the classic 'Do I look fat in this dress'? Therefore, it seems very offensive to ask a woman "how much she weighs" and I've even had an older woman tell me that "You NEVER tell a woman how old she is!"

Do you consider it to be offensive to ask a woman how much she weighs, and is it still widely unacceptable to ask a woman this despite things like the body positivity movement. Is there still a big stigma to asking a woman how much she weighs, or is it just some trope that you hear about that doesn't really apply to reality?

In dating, would you be turned off if a man you were dating asked you this question or tried to filter by weight?

EDIT: My own grammar was making my eye twitch (ignore the typo in the title).
