“The man has to make the first move”

“The man has to text/reach out to me first@

“It’s a man’s job to lead/approach”

“Can’t make it seem too easy guys love the chase”

And a hundred thousand other thoughts on dating from enough women to create a generalised expectation.

But these ideas, the idea of a man as a determined pursuer full of desire and the woman as a feminine figure taken by the lust of the man are imo a core feature of 🍇 culture.

Every single 🍇ist and accused 🍇ist believes this.

“She really wanted it”

“She was just being a tease”

“No means try again”

All those phrases originate in an understanding of this dynamic.

Even when women say stuff like “consent is sexy” you’ll see examples of a man assuming consent “I’m gonna kiss you now” not “Can I kiss you?”

IME a woman will always find it more fun to want a guy but have the guy just know he can take her despite her faux protests vs

The reason I bring this up is I unlike a lot of redpillers actually do believe that there is a 🍇 culture, I just think women often contribute to it just as much if not more so than men

So insisting men do something about it while still holding on to a key source of the problem kinda comes off incongruous.

So what’s going on there?
