If you look at a lot of complaints from each sex, a lot of the issues people bring up are pretty derivative of the above complex. A perfect example is that women are often complaining about being treated as sex objects; while men often are complaining about not being “the best sex she’s ever had.”

Women are (often) expected to create and build a household and raise children, while they often seek the respect for their intellect and work abilities they see men get lauded for. They want to be respected outside the bedroom via their efforts in their day to day lives. Men are (often) expected to be providers and protectors of that household, while they seek the sex lives they think they see women (and a small subset of men) in their lives getting to experience. They want to be respected via being genuinely desired in the bedroom.

These conflicting viewpoints create a decent amount of the friction between men and women while also pointing to yet another distinction between the two sexes in terms of what they want out of a romantic coupling.

I don’t know if there’s an answer to “how do we solve for this” but this makes the most amount of sense as to why the same kinds of threads continue to be posted cyclically here.
