IDK. Those are two things that have a spectrum of manifestations. The most serious manifestations of either are totally out of the question. The mildest manifestations of either are workable with.

[–]drok007Not white enough to be blue pill[S] 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Then use an equally moderate manifestation of either.

[–]rulenumber30316 points17 points18 points 8 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

If i was making my decision in some sort of hypothetical state of perfect knowledge of the situation? Probably the autistic dude. If it was in a normal social situation? Sorry autistic dude, you probably don't put yourself out there enough to get your existence noticed. The sexist dude is an ass but at least I know he exists. But since I don't like sexist dudes much chances are I won't be having him either.

[–]SkookumTreeWe are DONE with "cope"7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, there's an interesting example of an "incapability vs. jackassery" trade-off that is fairly rare in real life. It could lead to some interesting discussion though. It really hinges on how much humanity the sexist has, how much he manages to respect your human dignity. That, and what kind of things you're okay with from a partner. Ultraliberal women would likely lean towards the autist, while conservatives could tolerate the sexist better.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I'm one right here, so go ahead and ask away. We're not that rare, you just don't see us too often. High functioning, live in my own (rented) home, have a job but find it almost impossible to talk to new people IRL.

When an opportunity to talk to a woman I'm attracted to presents itself I either lock up or stammer and repeat myself like a shy 12 year old.

[–]SkookumTreeWe are DONE with "cope"0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Huh. Well, if you're not OK with never having a partner, as some people on the spectrum are, you're gonna have to fix that. Seems like liberal artist hippie women preferred the autist over the sexist, so you might have better luck with that crowd.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I'm not that autistic. I have no touch aversion. More like other people have an aversion to being touched my me. :) I'm trying to fix my insecurities with the help of a psychologist. So where all the "liberal artist hippie women at" ? :)

[–]SkookumTreeWe are DONE with "cope"0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Liberal cities. Burlington, Vermont, or Portland, Oregon. Places like this might be a bit more accepting of your differences. Keep up the therapy and good luck.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm not from the U.S. I live in Eastern Europe, in Romania.

Also love the tone "places like this might be a bit more accepting of your differences." You meant to write "kind", didn't you ?:D

Honestly, we just open up harder, we're not rapists and murderers. And we are humans.

Classy way to tell me to fuck off 10/10.

[–]SkookumTreeWe are DONE with "cope"0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah. My 'Murrican prejudices and beliefs probably mean jackshit in Romanian culture. I assumed you were from an English-speaking, industrialized country. Good luck.

[–]Taipanshimshonhere for the downvotes1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I won't be having him either.

to be fair and sexist, he wont be having you

[–][deleted] 23 points24 points25 points 8 years ago (60 children) | Copy Link

Autistic- a sexist would be social suicide in my artsy, bohemian circles.

[–]shoup88Report me bitch3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (53 children) | Copy Link

Yes! Any observable level of sexism would be very embarrassing for me in my social circle.

[–]rreliable0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm glad I don't know your social circle.

[–]shoup88Report me bitch0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The feeling is mutual.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (50 children) | Copy Link

I chill with working class and musicians/artists

Non sexism/PC is social suicide and so is overbearing autism

I don't think any of the women here are actually artsy they're confusing petit bourgeoise life with art scene

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (31 children) | Copy Link

My husband is a working artist. I have written and produced shows for 10 years. We live on a compound with artists. But sure- YOU know about arts culture more than me 🙄

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (30 children) | Copy Link

I've been there and done ALL of that for more than a decade

My last name carries weight in this city because the musical roots go so deep, I lived in a polyamorois squat house with other artists

Every single one of them even the liberal and a political identifying ones can admit to being sexist if you ask the right question

Liberal progressivism is more fragile than masculinity

No true artist shackles their mind with ideology unless it's a purposeful aesthetic

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link

Hahahahahahahahah.

Sure.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

Yeah I'm less sure about your experience though doesn't sound right sounds made up

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

I am sure my experience spending 10 years in the arts would sound odd to someone who has friends in bands.

[–]blackheartblackmask 1 points1 points1 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Oh you're "in the arts" that explains why you know nothing about art

The bourgeois idea of being an artist is a vulgar little hobby you're just larping

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

Do your friends get paid in beer? Do you move speakers for them?

[–]shoup88Report me bitch5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

This contest to try and out-artist her is embarrassing.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I thought the low point was "polyamorois"...

[–]blackheartblackmask 1 points1 points1 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Being a petit bourgeois hipster is not being an artist that's really my only point here

[–]shoup88Report me bitch4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Ah yes, only you can decide what's "real" art. Even without seeing or hearing it.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah sure that's it

Not what I'm actually saying but yeah

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

polyamorois

Polyamorous

[–]crumblesnatch<>-<>-<>0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Shh, it sounds more legit in French.

[–]shoup88Report me bitch6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

I didn't say I was in the arts scene. I said in my social circle sexism is a no no. My friends are the over-educated feminist liberal types.

I think you should also consider that regional scenes will differ from one another. I don't even think we're from the same country. There is no universal arts scene where everyone acts the same way.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

It's more universal than you think

Ideas like feminism and liberalism are shackles and prisons to the mind of any artist worth their salt

[–]shoup88Report me bitch8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

That's so incredibly pretentious. You really are an artiste! 👨‍🎨

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Not really it's just cold logic

[–]shoup88Report me bitch2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

There's nothing coldly logical about the phrase "shackles and prisons of the mind", haha

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

So you believe it's logical to hold mind numbing ideologies to heart as you attempt to be creative and free?

Start making sense quick

[–]shoup88Report me bitch4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

It's not your sentiment I'm making fun of. It's your flowery language. You can't throw around things like "shackles of the mind" and pretend you're being cold. Don't have such a thin skin about it - it's just teasing.

But yes, I believe you can create art no matter which political party you vote for. I've seen it with my own eyes! Unless you have some No True Scotsman argument as to why only real artists have certain beliefs.

[–][deleted] 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

[deleted]

[–]shoup88Report me bitch0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I wouldn't want either. Both would be embarrassing socially.

[–]shoup88Report me bitch0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't think not being able to date me is a fate on par with death, but I have been told I'm overly modest before, so who knows.

[–]rreliable0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't think any of the women here are actually artsy they're confusing petit bourgeoise life with art scene

Aw hell yeah.

Unfortunately, three out of four talented artists are feminazi morons. It's like they traded half their brain for the gift of creativity.

[–]says_harsh_thingsRed Pill - Chad10 points11 points12 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

As if artsy, bohemian circles don't already have enough suicide in them.

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points19 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh honey...

[–]SkookumTreeWe are DONE with "cope"0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

And an autist wouldn't?

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No? I’d probably get praise for it TBH.

[–]SkookumTreeWe are DONE with "cope"0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That is interesting. I see how you could get praise for "being able to see past his disability" or something like that. And his social ineptitude and tactlessness could be excused due to his autism.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

JOKED

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points14 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I have autism, so definitely the autistic.

[–]IckyStickyPoo22 points23 points24 points 8 years ago* (31 children) | Copy Link

I'd take a high functioning aspergers man over a sexist any day of the week.

Staying with a sexist man would kill me inside, day by day. I'd be embarrassed to go out with him, embarrassed to have him around my friends, annoyed by his blathering about women, and bored by his sexism in the bedroom.

If the aspergers man shared some of my interests - star wars, horror films, my kind of music etc - then we might find common ground.

But, a hella lot of aspergers men on PPD seem to be red pill. In other words, sexist.

[–]MMAchica2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Staying with a sexist man would kill me inside, day by day.

What is your idea of a sexist man? How would you describe him?

[–]IckyStickyPoo13 points14 points15 points 8 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link

Big range of sexism. But I can't abide any of it. Leaves me cold.

He believes things like this:

  • if a man fucks up in business, it's because he's human. if a woman fucks up in business, it's because she's a woman.

  • If a man cheats, it's because he's a man and therefore led by his dick (it's biological). If a woman cheats, it's because women these days are trash.

  • if a man gets a higher position in a company, he won it fair and square by merit. If a woman gets a higher position, it's because she's a woman and got it due to unfair (on men) quotas.

  • women are not really suited to tech jobs.

  • if a woman says it, it's not as noteworthy as if a man says it.

  • men are better suited to positions of power

  • single mothers are to blame for their predicament. Men are not to blame. Men are led by their dicks (it's biological).

[–]goatismycopilotPurple Pill Woman11 points12 points13 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No if a man cheats it is just because he wants some variety, it won't hurt the relationship nor his ability to pair bond, if a woman cheats she is evil, incapapble of sustaining a relationship of any kind, and likely mentally ill.

[–]IckyStickyPoo4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No if a man cheats it is just because he wants some variety, it won't hurt the relationship nor his ability to pair bond, if a woman cheats she is evil, incapapble of sustaining a relationship of any kind, and likely mentally ill.

True words.

[–]fiat_lux_Red Pillar0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

All negative sexism bordering on autistic misogyny.

[–]MagicGainbowKeepin' it real, havin' a feel0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

single mothers are to blame for their predicament.

In most cases they are though.

[–]IckyStickyPoo1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

In most cases they are though.

Am not getting in that one. That way lies madness.

[–]MagicGainbowKeepin' it real, havin' a feel0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Am not getting in that one.

Cause you've got nothing?

[–]IckyStickyPoo1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nuthin' that hasn't been discussed into the ground at PPD.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women are never to blame for anything. That's True Equality™.

[–]damaskroseBlue Pill Woman0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So, this is how sexism manifests in my (urban, liberal) social circle. Liberal guys can be just as sexist as anyone, but they don't advertise it, and sometimes they don't even realize it. So you have to look at their actions. Does he judge women more harshly than men? Is he more likely to listen to men, and interrupt women? Do all the women in his life just happen to be dumb/crazy/bitchy? Their conscious mind believes "sexism is stupid, men and women are equal", but their actions reveal a distorted perception of women.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

But, a hella lot of aspergers men on PPD seem to be red pill. In other words, sexist.

What's their alternative?

[–]IckyStickyPoo9 points10 points11 points 8 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

I'm not getting into that one.

Suffice to say, I have three friends who are with men who have aspergers and none of them are sexist.

But these days, rp seems to be casting a drag net for as many young aspie men as they can find online.

[–]SkookumTreeWe are DONE with "cope"2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

That and the isolated, maladjusted, and just plain angry and outcast.

[–]IckyStickyPoo1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's just easy to fall into a bitter group that promises a fix to a bunch of your problems when you're an isolated outcast or never have any luck with women.

[–]SkookumTreeWe are DONE with "cope"0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No shit. This leads the quality of TRP, which was questionable from the outset, to decline further.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Suffice to say, I have three friends who are with men who have aspergers and none of them are sexist.

Do they have girlfriends?

[–]IckyStickyPoo4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

My friends are female. Their husbands/partners are male and have aspergers. Sorry I wasn't clear.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I would have a hard time believing they were not sexist at some point

[–]IckyStickyPoo4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Everyone is sexist at some point in their lives.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

but you find it inexcusable? especially in asperger men who are the most alienated by the opposite sex?

[–]IckyStickyPoo1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I didn't say it was "inexcusable". And certainly didn't say it was inexcusable in people who have challenges in understanding the world. What I said was that rp gathers aspies in.

Aspies are also alienated by non-aspie men. Do aspies gather to pour hate on chads, or do women cop the brunt of it? You see, in general, women cop the brunt of hate from men, just because men aren't getting what they want from them.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What I said was that rp gathers aspies in.

I wonder why...

Do aspies gather to pour hate on chads, or do women cop the brunt of it?

Yes.

See: r9k

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

None really. And if you have the ability to become a savant, might as well become a savant at attracting the opposite sex. :P

Yay horror films what is your fav?

[–]IckyStickyPoo1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yay horror films what is your fav?

Hey, no faves. I like the old gothic type horror, such as The Omen and The Exorcist. And the new 'classics' such as The Conjuring and Woman in Black. And I like some of the new psych horror, such as The Invitation (2016). The movie, It Follows was a pretty cool idea.

[–]Neoprime0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Horror Twin.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Aspergers men become red pilled b/c nobody gives a shit about them. And if TRP helps even 2% of them succeed that's more success than they ever had.

[–]IckyStickyPoo0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Well, if three of my friends are with aspergers men, and all three men come from caring families, I can't see how it's true that no one cares about them.

If trp helps 2% succeed, but makes 80% of them develop an intense hatred towards women, I can't see how it's helping overall.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, let's just say that appearances can deceive (the caring family part). Unless you're asexual, motherly love isn't going to fill a man's craving for a partner.

Why is modern society so much into shitting on men's chances with women just because they're not football playing mountains of muscle and confidence?

Most guys using trp wouldn't have needed it 30 years ago.

If trp helps 2% succeed, but makes 80% of them develop an intense hatred towards women, I can't see how it's helping overall.

Who said it has to? If it can help just a few of them, it's worth it for that tiny percentage. This board defines sex as selfish, no?

[–]TheChemist158Non-Feminist Blue Pill Woman8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

How autistic are we talking about here? If we are including the "I'm bad at jokes and not sociable" type, that's fine. But if we are talking about legit autism, need a guardian for the rest of your life autism, I'd take the sexist.

[–]drok007Not white enough to be blue pill[S] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Moderate autism, so social awkwardness, mindblindness, disinterested, and self-involved.

[–]goatismycopilotPurple Pill Woman8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hmmmmmm. Depends on the degree of sexism or autism, most men default to some sexism, so the milder stuff is easy to ignore.

What if the autist implied he didn't know how to be sexually aggressive or put you in the mood? Or as in he didn't know how to read things sexually.

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

That’s a diff q altogether.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Not really I mean, do you know any autistic people?

The one I know is creep shamed by everyone. And he doesn't do anything sexually bold. He just talks in a weird awkward way and doesn't understand how to read people's emotions.

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That’s still a diff q.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

How so? You can't separate social awkwardness or emotional numbness from autism.

I mean, we should be answering this question in a realistic sense.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hey at least she's honest in a roundabout way. She wants a hot chad scientist who plays the shy guy card.

That's definitely less than ideal, but I don't mind giving direction every time.

Don't get me wrong, neither a sexist or autistic man is ideal, but I could deal with a moderately autistic SO. I could not be pleasant to a blatantly sexist man, nor would I want to live with one.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I could not be pleasant to a blatantly sexist man, nor would I want to live with one.

What are you thinking of when you say the term "sexist" man?

I believe the issue here is the OP needed to better define this.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'm friends with the OP, and I asked him what he meant by "sexist." His example was, "thinks women shouldn't drive large vehicles and thinks a woman should not be president."

That is not a person that I could date.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

His example was, "thinks women shouldn't drive large vehicles and thinks a woman should not be president."

Ok yea that's more hardcore trad-sexist than I was thinking. So your opinion makes sense.

I was thinking "sexist" meant like cultural-sexism, like women should know how to cook well or know how to put on make up or look really pretty if needed.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was thinking "sexist" meant like cultural-sexism, like women should know how to cook well or know how to put on make up or look really pretty if needed.

Yeah, I totally see where you're coming from. And I think what you're describing is pretty unavoidable, no matter who you date. I'm not particularly bothered by benign, garden-variety sexism like "women are emotional."

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's not like I have a problem dating people who are mentally ill.

Well hello there ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

[–]SkookumTreeWe are DONE with "cope"0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]GridReXXit be like that4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago* (9 children) | Copy Link

I’d choose pxssy over both of those options. I’m so happy I’m not attracted to only men. Praise!

But if I had to choose it really depends.

I know a few black guys with Aspergers whose parents really made sure they were supported and they were still pretty indoctrinated in black “cool” culture so they’re fine and even joke about their shit.

I’d choose that over someone else’s sexist, but I realize my example is rare and your version of an autistic man is probably some super uncool dude with the reaction times and affect of Napoleon Dynamite. But no cool Latino friend.

[–]drok007Not white enough to be blue pill[S] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Yeah it’s much more autistic than that. Socially awkward, mindblindness, disinterest, and self-involvement.

[–]GridReXXit be like that2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

So I can’t choose a socialized person with Aspergers?

Describe your sexist person then, because your autistic person sounds SPECIFIC.

[–]SkookumTreeWe are DONE with "cope"1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Your partner must be either sexist or autistic. If you select a woman, she is going to be autistic.

[–]GridReXXit be like that1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

He specified man.

A beautiful autistic woman is still hot

And a sexist woman doesn’t offend me as much as sexist man because gender wars

[–]SkookumTreeWe are DONE with "cope"0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That last is understandable, maybe she is a traumatized radfem. Interesting though that a male model autist isn’t hot but a beautiful lady autist is still attractive to you.

[–]GridReXXit be like that1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Not all that interesting.

I have different expectations of men and women.

I want my man to be confident and stand tall and be able to move through the world effectively. A diffident and unawares male model can’t do that so my interest in being fucked by him has dissipated because how can a guy like that possibly be an assertive and intuitive party during sex.

A diffident and obtuse woman doesn’t make me want to fuck her any less. Her actions or lack of whatever don’t interfere to the same degree my ability to do upon her.

There are different dynamics at play.

[–]SkookumTreeWe are DONE with "cope"0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’d choose a beautiful woman.

But if I had to choose, I’d choose the sexist guy and enjoy the hell out of using him for his money, time, and energy. A man like that I wouldn’t feel endeared to or compassionate towards.

But a man like how /u/drok007 describes as autistic I wouldn’t feel anything towards either, except maybe as a social worker or nurse Aid.

I certainly think that a certain degree of 'sexism' (ie: rejecting the feminist worldview and treating women differently than other men) is a requirement for male attractiveness, regardless of what the solipsistic drones here say.

[–]Atlas_B_Shruggin 1 points1 points1 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

It definitely implies that. But it could also be read as a more general statement of what makes a man attractive to women in general, not just to you.

not being "sexist" makes a man by definition effeminate

After tallying, sexism is winning by a not insignificant margin. I find it incredibly fascinating that for all the whinging women do about TRP and their sexism, they'd still select for it in favour of autism, which may be irritating, but manageable. Especially considering alpha males women select for don't offer women mushy gushy emotions anyway.

[–]aznphenix2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

[–]DB605Everyone's a BlackPill in the end0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not saying people are inconsistent. I'm saying you'd think the number 1 criticism of TRP would be a disqualifying factor. When push comes to shove, it's not, and as I said in my initial post, it's ironic that women don't get (the opposite of autism) from alphas they select for either, lol.

It's like a double win for TRP. Not only do women usually select for it, they wouldn't take the alternative even if it was offered...

I tend to question the mental health of people who have apparent prejudice against groups of people (sexism, racism, xenophobia, etc).

It certainly points out a difficulty with nuance or empathy.

It certainly points out a difficulty with nuance or empathy.

And autistic people are famously good at nuance and empathy of course.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lol

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

you mean prejudice against sexist people, or sexism as prejudice? If the former then I agree, if the latter, not.

[–]GoldPilot(⌐■_■)1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I think I mean the latter? I'm having trouble parsing your question.

I think sexism is bad, if that helps.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think it is being realistic.

[–]WestsideMoonWalker"That fucking WestsideMoonWalker boomed me" "he's so good (x4)"2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This thread makes me think most people haven't met high functioning autistic people before.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Real talk here, the majority of men are at least mildly sexist even if they're not vocal about it. By sexist here I don't mean hates women and thinks they should get back into the kitchen, I mean more like believes men and women are different, good at different things, and probably do judge them based on things feminists would consider "misogynistic" such as their looks, how promiscuous they are, etc.

This is obvious to anyone who has listened to a group of men speaking amongst themselves with no women present. Men simply do think of women differently and judge them by different metrics.

It's a very light form of sexism compared to the full on TRP rage fest that calls single mothers "sub-human scum" but still. It's sexist in that it's unacceptable to speak about out loud in society.

Remember the definition of sexism is wide enough that it can simply mean belief in gendered stereotypes.

[–]DB605Everyone's a BlackPill in the end1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Most woman would prefer a sexist over an autistic imo.

[–]SkookumTreeWe are DONE with "cope"1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

Agreed, unless the sexist is physically abusive and the autist isn't.

[–]drok007Not white enough to be blue pill[S] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

The autist could be physically abusive as well.

[–]SkookumTreeWe are DONE with "cope"0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Edited. That just makes the autist an absolute dogshit partner then.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Also makes the sexist a dog shit partner

I'm sexist af but also chivalrous and benevolent would never hit a woman

Let me save you some time; they're all gonna say autistic because that's the politically correct thing to say. It's what they're supposed to say, and they know it, so they'll say it.

Yet, as I'm sure you're aware, plenty of sexist men do get laid. Whereas even just high functioning autism is more often than not a sentence to inceldom for men, I should know. I'll let you come to your own conclusions.

He really should have specified.

Because most women imagining “autist” are imagining someone with light autism — high functioning person who’s pretty able to get on with / chill with the normies.

And the women imagining “sexist” are imagining some bro with perfect humor who makes up for his sexism buy paying for all her things and gifts and carrying all of her bags.

agreed; specifics would have been nice. i did my best to think of the most moderate versions of both (a decent balance of good and bad parts)... but autism and sexism can both manifest in many, many different ways so i'm sure we were mostly all answering a different question because of how we defined them.

[–]Salty-Bastardjust an excitable boy0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The ones choosing autists. I don't think they're lying but if the rubber hit the road irl they wouldn't choose the autist.

[–]MagicGainbowKeepin' it real, havin' a feel0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why not both?

I'm autistic and have been told i'm a bit sexist (in the good ''you're an asshole'' punches arm playfully way) and i've used both traits to balance each other out to a degree.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Not a woman, but as a man, I'd say Autism would be the best bet.

Autistic people can still be nice and functional adults. They just don't have good social skills and are shy. But that's ok.

ITT: Women SAYING they will choose the autist. But put them in real life and watch what they do -- they choose the sexist over the autist every time. Why? The sexist is more attractive, even if he is a sexist. Women love sexist assholes. How do I know this? Because you women choose to date, fuck and marry sexist assholes all the time. You women reject autistic men all the time.

I call bullshit on every one of you saying you'd prefer an autistic man over a sexist. There's some serious industrial grade bullshit in this thread.

[–]aznphenix0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

or PPD Is a weird selection of people.

OR because in reality the autist won't put himself out there like the sexist will. It's questions of availability and population sampling imo.

Well, depends on how sexist. I have a clearer concept of autism, but what people consider sexist varies so greatly I have no idea what I'm working with.

[–]thinkytoes0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Autistic.

I genuinely can't take sexist men seriously. I see their logic, and therefore mind, as faulty. In such a way that I can't work with it or respect it.

Autistic. A sexist by definition doesn't respect women. Autistics are perfectly capable of doing so.
