This is my town and I HATE IT! The town is nice, but this right here is bullshit. My neighbor and good buddy is over 10 years younger than her husband (and looks it) and so many women keep themselves up and look so good (it’s that sort of lululemon, nails and drinks with the girls in the afternoon, Pinterest mom place), just to be with some extremely grotesque men. I’ve had some of my acquaintances at the school tell me how cute my husband is (as well as me of course 💁🏻‍♀️😁), because he’s a rare breed there. These ladies ask me for fitness and diet advice all the time when they already look good and have nice trendy hair, clothes and makeup—just to polish up more for a dude who looks like a more slovenly version of their own fathers 🤢. And worse? These dudes are porn-addicts who don’t do shit to help around the house either (with only some exceptions). Like, what the hell is going on?!

I once saw a man’s dating profile that said “swipe left if you’re over 125 pounds.” Now, he gave no height preference, so does that mean he’d be okay with a 4’11” woman being 125 (slightly overweight) but not okay with a 5’9” woman being 130 (low end of normal)?

I bring this up because he was like 32, and had the same hair style as Montgomery Burns...completely bald except for the sides and back, and all of that hair was gray. He was also obviously morbidly obese.

This stretch mark thing concerns me. I am a young (21) woman and I have quite a few - because I chose life and health and lost 35 lbs from my heaviest. To me, the stretch marks are a symbol of hard work and sweat and blood I put into fixing my health and my body, for me. Are stretch marks such a cardinal sin to men (I’ve never had a boyfriend so I wouldn’t know) that they’d overlook my smarts, my work ethic, my heart, and my achievements and leave me because of what my body has been through as I’ve improved my life?
