Here’s another: same ex that said hugs were unrealistic also said that:

“If a relationship requires work then it’s bad unhealthy and toxic. Relationships should be easy and require no effort”

Name one thing on this planet that requires no work or effort but has results? He just thought he’d Harry Potter himself into an amazing relationship (while still remaining mediocre like Harry Potter)

And this ISNT the first time I’ve heard a man say this to me or their partners (in mixed company like whaaa) watching other women crumble as their husbands rant and rave about how relationships should be “easy and require no work” is heart wrenching.

I’d have been one of those girls a few days ago, wishing my boyfriend would just cuddle me or acknowledge I exist pathetically. That's not even the bare minimum. I fully expect my partner to share in doing half of the regular chores without being asked, and to do them well. Unless he deep cleaned the entire house impromptu I fail to see how this is some magical thing he did.

And this is why LVM have been collectively giving less than the bare minimum. So that women feel over the moon when they do get tossed a breadcrumb. This is why love bombing works. LVM are good at sniffing out unloved daughters. They aren't stupid. As much as displays of affection are important, I wish hugs weren’t advertised as this cutesy fix all.

While women romanticise hugs as these warm symbols of male protection and support, the majority of scrotes view it as their chance to feel boobies or something like some pathetic 12th grader.

Physical affection that is meant to be sincere and pure is almost always sexualised by men who have so much more to gain from hugs than women do.

This is why I am not a hugger. It is a lot more intimate than it is sold to be.

These are *all* things that should come as default for any normal human being who actually cares about the people they are with. Men are with women they don't even *like*, and the whole world thinks its endearing that men and women hate each other and talk like they are each others ball & chains.
