This post stems from a convo i had earlier about women's standards being too high. I wanted to expand this to men and women overall and say my piece on it.

I firmly believe that no one should compromise on standards, even ridiculous standards.

Women who want 6 foot, 6fig, 6inch men probably are ok with 5'11 5inch dick men making 80k, and men who want 10/10 agreeable family women are probably ok with just not fat and not the town bike with 100 bodies. but I'm not talking about a slightly lower than ideal compromise, I'm talking about a drastic understatement of what you want.

The stereotypical RP fear is being BBxed, but i also hear that they're upset that 30s women raise their standard even as their value falls. Like, what?? Yes, it's hypocritical to want better mates as you become a worse mate, but would you not rather that happen than the alternative, of being used?

Then, on the woman's side -- wouldn't you rather date a man who pursues you HARD, is clearly committed etc than one settle for you because you're there? Unfortunately, this happens to both genders on occasion.

I believe it's unequivocally better to be single than settled for. I didn't flair this CMV because i don't really believe there is any argument i could see that would supercede that belief. Although i am interested in hearing about people who would rather have a transactional marriage than be single. Why?
