The fate of any individual like this is extremely volatile, because it all hinges on landing that one girl that liberates you from the market.

An average man does not have options. He can't attract women on demand. He's utterly powerless in the dating market. This we know. But he's still capable of being in the right place at the right time once in a blue moon.

Our average man might hit it off with a decent girl sophomore year of college, end up marrying her, never know the horrors of dating, and go around telling everyone "it's easy bro, just be yourself." But had that one girl never existed, or dumped him, or moved across the country, that same guy might spend his 20's slogging through dating apps and shitty overcrowded bars, being consistently treated like a pile of dog shit, and go around telling everyone how impossible women are with a palpable bitterness.

This guy is basically me. Guys like this will continue to struggle with casual sex (if they want to have it), and not have problems finding relationships and sex in those relationships with less attractive women.

That was pretty much my past until I met someone who I actually considered an attractiveness match overseas. I suppose more guys might try that in the future, but otherwise less attractive women will continue to date and have sex with average men. The men who struggle with having sex at all are actually below average guys, even though they might think that they are average.

This is a lot of guesswork, so one must be careful.

But to make conservative estimates, I would work on this premise. If all of the legal and social incentives and devices used to in many ways suppress female sexual selectivity and hypergamy, in order to incentivize unnatural levels of monogamous pairings, are removed or lessened, then we should not be surprised if we see greater effective levels of female sexual selectivity and hypergamy.

The average guy already sees more sex partners than the average guy in the past due to restrictions on promiscuity having mostly disappeared. But he also has less chance of getting a wife of the same SMV levels as in the past, and her remaining with him for life. Thus, in many ways, less actual sex over a lifetime. Going forward, since promiscuity cannot really be made that much more acceptable than now, he won't see much return on that front. But increased female sexual selectivity will now start to decrease how many sexual partners he gets, and reduce his chances of getting married. If he does get married, her SMV will be lower than he could get before.

Ultimately, a lot depends on how the average guy responds. If he gets all principled about fairness and refuses to accept his loss of sexual leverage, aiming only at the level of women he might have gotten in the past, or he considers his fair equivalent, he's in trouble. If he gracefully accepts his loss of sexual leverage, and just aims lower than before, he'll probably do about as well as before.
