I feel like the RP has made it worse, as they say to go for age gap relationships because of an agenda. But when it comes to the talk of age gap relationships here, it seems that the assumption is that there must be an agenda for why the couple would go for it.

However, I know a couple of people in age gap relationships, as well as my own, and all three couples weren't boycotting people their own age specifically, and just happened to know each other through other circumstances and started dating that way.

I met my gf at work, and the other two couples met through work related situations as well, and knew each other for some time, before going out. It doesn't seem they were specifically targeting a certain age, and nor was I. Plus I had a years before, that was older than me so I am definitely up for dating other ages, and not boycotting at all.

So I feel a lot of couples just happen, with who you know. But a lot of times here when age gap relationships are discussed, people assume there must be an agenda, especially since the RP has made it worse by wanting to date certain ages only, because of an agenda.

But is it really so hard for a lot of people to believe that sometimes people just meet accidentally, know each other for a few months or years and then start dating as a result?
