Blue pill is technically everything that isn't red pill, so that's a pretty big net.

Humans are a communal species. We're meant to have close, reciprocated bonds with one one another because members of a tribe can't continuously undermine each other if they want to survive. That requires trusting people because people are not mind readers.

The ideal red pill (as I understand it, because "what" the red pill actually is varies from person to person) is becoming the best version of yourself with all that entails, which is a great goal. But what I see a lot of people use it for is obfuscating their true selves and trying to have as much unilateral control in their relationships as possible.

People are people and there's no way to truly tell who is good and who isn't. The most you can do is make it clear what you want and have the firm boundaries to support it. Having to be on guard even around what should be the closest person in your life sounds exhausting. Forcing yourself to be the dancing bear forever because you can't emotionally connect with anyone sounds exhausting. Basing your identity around things you can't control instead of learning who you are as a person sounds exhausting.

I'm aware of the continuing polarization of gender relations, but I don't see the point in making generalizations about the people you know in place of learning about them as individuals. I'd rather address the roots of the problem (lack of community and lack of early childhood socialization) than assume it's going to be forever.

I don’t really subscribe to a “pill.” I think blue pill can be a little ignorant, and red pill has some ideas on the right track, but they take their theories too far and demonize women without acknowledging that they display a lot of the same behavior. Red pill could be valuable if it focused more on human behavior in general and didn’t frame everything women do as pure evil while giving men a pass for some of the worst male behavior. I see a lot of projection and hypocrisy going on among red pillers, e.g., talking about how women only care about looks while actually only caring about looks. But on the other hand, “blue pillers” claiming looks don’t matter that much are wrong too. The parts of the red pill I agree with are that men and women are different, and most humans are more shallow than they admit. The rest is questionable at best, trash at worst.

From what I have read, studies and evidence that TRP claims to support their arguments are not strong enough to substantiate their claims. This does not mean TRP is incorrect but so far the evidence fails to convince me otherwise. This probably has something to do with my bias against psychology/evolutionary psychology or basically any “soft” science as a field.

And of course from my observations and interactions with people, generalizations from TRP match with my experience less than half the time. It is not better than a coin toss as a prediction tool. So again I am not convinced.

On an ethical consideration, I often find what TRP and its members say to be rather dehumanizing and sometimes sexist (to both men and women). Tbh I often cringe on a lot of TRP takes, even when I try to be open-minded.

So yeah, these are three hurdles that make me still believe in BP, or, more precisely, that make me not a believer in TRP.

I guess the problem with red pill is that it's always trying to create assumptions about women, almost all of which never apply to me. So maybe I'm just not worldly enough to know what ALL women are like. But I know what I'm like, and to TRPers, they would treat me the same as these women they are generalizing.

And typically they are asking for a lot of subservience from a woman, which is fine if the woman is into it, but the fact that it's mandatory just reeks of controlling behavior.

Why are atheists still atheists after hearing about Islam? Because they weren't compelled by the claims Islam makes. The only agreeable and redeeming claims of TheRedPill are that one should take ownership of themselves, be their best version of themselves, and own their masculinity—advice you can just as readily pick up from any "bloopy" dating coach or blog.

Everything else about TRP is wrong, toxic, and—in my opinion—comically try-hard.

It depends on your definition of blue pill. But I'm not red pill because I know that people are different and behave differently. The generalization of mass behavior is useful when you're talking about elections where you need majority to win (let's ignore the US being dumb). In dating it doesn't really matter for each individual person how the majority acts, if I only want one person why bother that I couldn't get most of them. I also think that personality is much more important for long term relationships than looks or money, for both genders. And because what personality is good is subjective and people usually find a personality similar to their own to be the most attractive most people can end up with someone they consider to be on the best 10% (could be somewhat higher or lower, doesn't come from real stats).

Personal observation and experience. TRP describes the worst of women, but then generalize this to all women, which goes against what I’ve seen and experienced. I buy into sexual hypergamy as pretty much a universal for heterosexual women, but that’s about it.

The problem is that there isn't a definition for a blue pill. If you aren't into red or black, you're pretty blue. I don't consider common sense knowledge to be "redpilled", so I don't agree on purple either.

Answering your question I'm not into red or black because my experience and experience of people around me don't really fit into these pills. There are also studies and stats that don't really confirm TRP, but, of course, it's the question of confirmation bias. We usually choose what better suits our ideas.

There is a study showing that there aren't any higher risks to get divorced for men with outearning wives, but men here remember only the study with the opposite results, although it was about part- and full-time jobs and not exactly about income levels. There is a study that showed that couples who share domestic chores more equally have less sex and, of course, men here remember only it, but ignore a newer study with the opposite results etc.

I consider myself Blue Pill in the capacity I reject gender essentialism and advocate for abolitionism, I reject hypergamy(in most definitions at least), I reject a lot of the Evolutionary Psychology that is used and the studies, I reject that there are “male” or “female” nature’s in a certain sense and I think some of the history, philosophy and other things with regards to the humanities seem suspect too. What I think is that in the final analysis the Manosphere is bad for men too and The Red Pill’s existence harms more than it helps; of course I could be incorrect about this, as this is mostly conjecture. I am not too worried about the labels though, just what the individual users believe as it varies widely.

The Red Pill is a theory about how things work, we want theories that best describe, accommodate and exhaust most of the relevant data. I think Red Pill theories cannot explain a lot of human behavior, are logically incoherent or based on false data(hypergamy is a good example of this, accounts of the sexual revolution etc.) so I do not find that much appealing about the theory. There is a lot more nuance in the world and I generally try avoiding clichés.

As PP, BP beliefs come from really the same place. Sure I can sit down and think of everyone I know and see them through a RP lense. I can also do the same with a BP lense. I've found people that do or do not fit both or a mix, ultimatly I don't think it's productive to assume motivations in such an absolute way.
