I think there is more differences within men or women as a group than there are differences between the groups. Like there’s plenty of variety you know.

But I’ve noticed more women find underweight women very beautiful like fashion models or Kpop idols. Another thing is I think women like a cinched waspy waist a lot more than men do. Men more admire voluptuous women with large breast, butts or hips.

Personally I think women like Megan Thee Stallion are really beautiful like Amazonian.

from my perspective women judge more uniqueness and taste wise beauty whereas men judge more average and direct sexual appeal, obviously that is so generalized but ask a man and a woman to pick the most beautiful in the room and most times they will be split, the women men like characteristically I find generic and I guess men find the women women like strange.

There seems to be two major camps of very different tastes for men. Petite Vs Thicc.

Ummm... to be honest, you might be projecting female arousal onto men. All objectively attractive celebrities are going to be attractive to virtually all men. Sure we have our preferences. Nicole Kidman and Nicki Minaj are very different types of beauty. Some men prefer Nicki, some prefer Kidman, but very few men would pass on the opportunity to sleep with either one, or both, regardless of preference.

I don't see any big disagreements between what men find attractive versus what women find attractive. I think people have a preference between cute, sexy and pretty. An attractive woman falls into one or between two of the three categories.

I didn't understand Chrissy Teigen's appeal until I saw her on video moving and talking. Strong facial structure and pretty smile. I think she is the type of woman who look better in person compared to pictures.

I would say universally appealing women (maybe):

Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Chanel Iman, Elsa Holsk, Kate Upton and Miranda Kerr are perfect physical examples of what I think the universal desirable aesthetics for many men. Then we have the OG crowd like Kylie Jenner and all the mini hers between IG, weheartit and pinterest - I don't consider her a beauty standard, or most women in hollywood, as they're dishonest about their surgerical work and try to peer pressure women through photoshop and marketing to look like them. I see that before I see her. I don't think many guys look at the Kardashians and related company - at all - so I can't speak for them, but I would say if anything its just the "kardash curves" etc.

Personally, I find Megan Fox (more so, pre face reconfiguration) a stunning example of natural beauty - however, not a standard.

I've also heard from a lot of men on and offline they love actresses like Gal Gadot (I don't understand personally)

I'd rather know basically: supermodel or egirl

lotta people act like they want reinassance beauty standards back but I don't see enough love for the societal aesthetic variance yet.

I personally think cute Asian women are more attractive than any American sex symbol like Scarlett Johansson or Angelina Jolie (in her prime). Just saying this because you said "universally desirable", and I don't think there really is such a thing.

Speaking in terms of the "attractiveness scale", I don't believe there are universal 10s. The most attractive women are at most universal 9s, a 10 is a woman who is a 9 and who is also the guy's type.

These are male and female archetypes, they never get old no matter what, and even you can fall in love with a picture of these men and women even if the pick was actually taken like a century ago. If statues had colour, the Venus would be blonde with blue eyes and the David would have black hair and green eyes.

The fixiation of men for blonde women go as far as ancient history, turkish sheiks even went to war and invaded Europe, specially the slavic region, to enslave blonde blue eyed women for their harems. As for women, there is not much to say about their tastes in men. It's well known that mediterranean men have the upper hand when it comes to girls, if women refer to you as a "greek god" or "tall, dark and handsome", then you have probably some italian-greek ancestry.

I don’t think this is universal, but it’s a decent example of finding very different celebs attractive. Once when my husband and I were chatting I mentioned about how I liked that they cast Jewel Staite in Firefly as the mechanic to be just kinda plain-cute, since I think she’s just an average girl-next-door-kinda ordinary pretty rather than beautiful. Husband was like… are you kidding, she’s like a 8 or 9 out of 10.

Total surprise, and I still don’t really see it. We agree on some other celebs, though.
