So I suppose this question is a little bit provocative as it presumes this is debatable when I think most women would say quite firmly that single women past a certain age are treated and judged much worse than their male counterparts.

I’m admittedly not-so-sure, and I’m slightly suspicious that it’s a bit of an example of women only noticing the top-tier men - i.e the likes of George Clooney or Russell Brand (when they were shagging around in their thirties etc.) rather than the bald loser guys from IT as representatives of “single men over thirty” but nevertheless, I’m willing to be persuaded.

Can the ladies here tell me about their experiences or the experiences of women close to them? Please do spell out what actually happens and give actual examples as I’d appreciate that just to give me more of a handle on it.
