There’s no income that can “compensate” for a lack of sexual attraction, in my opinion. His money isn’t my money or even “our” money. I can HOPE that he’ll use his income to help support me/our family, but it’s not a guarantee. A man making more money than me, especially a SIGNIFICANT amount more than me, gives him financial leverage over me and puts me at his mercy and I’m not ok with that.

I’d rather be with a man that I’m physically & sexually attracted to, regardless of income.

Never, I do Maths with Computer Science at uni and will go into either finance or tech after uni and these guys are shit with women because they have piss poor social skills and do not take care of themselves at all. These men put differential equations over having basic human functionality and valuing their appearance.

As someone who has worked in tech I can safely say that making the money does nothing. Women assess your lifestyle and your generosity. I save aggressively for retirement, saved for a house, don't carry debt. Do a lot of stuff to maintain my house. Women see 'boring'. That's all future payoff stuff, they aren't waiting around for that.

However, wearing nicer clothes. Driving a nice car. Taking her to nice places. Those acts get noticed.

When you figure it out you realize it's not having the money they are assessing, it's sharing the money and resources they are assessing.

I don't have the gumption to look this up right now, but there have already been studies on this done. It was something like, if a 5'6" man made $40K a year, he would have to double that amount for every inch, in order to be as attractive as 6' man who also made $40K a year.

Depends very much on what city the guy lives in.

also depends alot on how frugal the guy is. like renting yachts and getting bottle service etc. will definitely help you get laid but its probably not the smartest way to be spending your money unless you are super rich.

You're thinking it the wrong way. No one gets money for free, it is YOUR hard earned money. Any woman who wants to waste your hard earned money on her lifestyle is not worth dating in the first place. I don't even live in America yet I know the average is close to 40-50k. So 75k will probably put you in the top 20% whereas 100k will put you in the top 2%. 200k and above will put you at top 0.5% or something (And FYI entry level software developers are not earning 200k, it's more like 100-150k and when you include the housing costs in Bay Area, that salary becomes equivalent to 75-80k). At this stage, you should be the one who's searching for the top 2% of women themselves, and these top women don't usually run after money.

I have a friend who is nothing special by the standards of Italy, you know, he's about 6 feet tall, broad-shouldered, fit, not ugly, just the same kind of face every other guy has, and he has never had much luck with women, no, I mean women, not obese bipedal whales, but as soon as he signed the contract he's on right now - women came out of the woodworks.

I say this as someone who finds myself attracted to conventionally unattractive and/or short and/or bald men all the time when they carry themselves a certain way: If you can figure out how to maneuver your way to a high salary (let’s say 200k), this likely means you have a high level of competence across several dimensions- social as well as technical competence - and THAT is attractive to women. If you can avoid turning into putty, as they say, in the presence of a woman (big if) and you have competence and the respect of your peers, then you should be able to win the sincere interest of emotionally mature women.

It's a bad idea to lead with your money. You'll end up attracting the wrong type of woman.

That said, there's no magical number but most women date guys who make equal or more than them. 100k is definitely not low unless you are in NYC, SF or another high cost of living area.

No, entry level software developers don't earn anywhere near 200K. They typically get 60-80K starting out. Even most senior developers don't get 200K. Some do but they tend to be in California, work for a big tech company, making lots of career movies to earn more, or are very good at programming. I'd say 500K per year sounds right for the cutoff.

It depends on the community. Some places in this country $75k is better than what other guys are making. So that makes you high value by comparison. With that money and some style, charisma, and an edge, you could be doing very well for yourself.

Other communities where $75k ain't shit and you'll just get bottom of the barrel.

8/10 man who earns 75k/year has an above average income in most areas of the US. And he looks great and has social skills (also part of it 8/10), so at least in terms of attractiveness he has a solid potential for good social status and pretty privileges in his career. It's hard for a 5/10 man to win with just money. Because if there is no shortage of money, then income does not play such a big role.

8/10 man who earns 70% of the male median salary, so around 35-40/year in most areas of the US, that would be a completely different situation. There already 5/10 man who earns twice the average income, will have a huge advantage.

Most men even wealthy ones aren’t interested in doing that, they still want some level of compatibility and not to feel like they are being used or settled for. I can say for me there were 3 stages, maybe 4.

When I got a car I liked. A coupe. Women just get into the vibe, even the ones that you know for a fact have no ideea what car it is, and don't care about money.

When I started traveling. Again for me. But just talking about some inane story that happened in a foreign country makes women's ears perk up. If you show random pictures, they are hooked even if you are boring yourself with the stories of your vacation.

Last one(s) was getting into hobbies / collections / clothes. Investing money into something you like (but is relatable you weebs and train set collectors) ... seems to be like 500 ml of extra personality. The 4th one is kinda here but it doesn't seem to work for everyone. Clothes, product, grooming beyond the basics seems to only work if you are not a nerd about it. When I got the flash girls were just looking at me silly. &1000s worth of perfume collection, made me look crazy. But investing in basic all black quality pieces - suddenly I am "classy", I have "style" and dress "well".

I think there were some research done on how much money you need to compensate for every centimeter you are shorter than some ideal. Maybe look for that.
