Completely false. At best women were barred from physically demanding jobs where they would be surrounded by lower class men, and from the high status jobs. But there were plenty of jobs available to women, and even those considered only available to women. The real situation was that taking care of a house, especially with young children, was much harder and far more time consuming, so one parent needed to stay home.

Someday you will look back and realize that at a certain age all your past decisions have crystallized into thinking a certain way. It usually happens between 25 and 30. I mean, the decisions were make 18 year olds make are obscene. Take on massive debt, to choose what you will do for the rest of your life, get out the house, go to war… 18 year olds do not have enough time making decisions , knowledge, experience, disposition, etc., to be making these decisions. Your decision making will slowly lean toward a certain way of thinking and as you learn it will shift direction slightly until one day you will notice that year after year the direction of the decision will not change nearly as much.

You’ll look back to these words and understand that you were a kid. Maybe not these words of course but you will realize it at some point.

The meaning of words change with time, that is how language works.

Yes, virgin became incel but the meaning stays the same. Society is repulsed by sexually unsuccessful men, so every word that is used to describe them becomes an insult regardless of their behavior.

Just like how every time we try to come up with an inoffensive word to call the mentally handicapped, it quickly becomes an insult. We went from words like moron, cretin, and imbecile, to retarded, to intellectually disabled. At one point or another all of those words were perfectly inoffensive scientifically accurate medical terminology.

Give it a few years and intellectually disabled will become just as much of an insult as retarded. Society does not like stupid people, so whatever politically correct word we chose to call the mentally disabled will eventually become the new go to insult.

You were saying that short men are insecure probably because they 'weren't loved by their parents' which is kind of a stupid argument. He's trying to point out that people with physical deficiencies are not insecure because their parents do not love them but rather because the physical deficiencies make them insecure.

That was more of a joke than an actual argument. My point was that insecurity comes from neglect or bad parenting in some way. There are people with physical deficiencies that are not insecure, and people without physical deficiencies that ARE insecure. How do you account for that? There's obviously a correlation that isn't just "look bad = sad"

It's a point of insecurity for short men because it is treated as a detriment to be short by society not because these short men just decide to be insecure about their height.

It's no more of a detriment than skin tone, money, personality, overall looks, location, etc.

Picture what women think (hurr durr, empathy): All those men hounding you for sex 24/7, 365 days a year, rapist lurking in every alley and DM. Clearly, this means men have sex all the fucking time, or at least would have given the opportunity. Clearly, if a man is virgin there must be something very wrong with him, he probably hates women or something.

So as a woman I think you slightly misunderstand. It's not that we generally think all men are predators or sex crazed but that a small portion of men are. Those men are scary and repeat offend. I do get some odd requests/comments in my DMs but only occasionally and rarely threatening. However l have been SA'd (a guy stuck his finger up there and I screamed and slapped him) and harassed (violently groped in public on a few occasions, mostly at bars but once in broad daylight walking with my partner) it doesn't mean I think "all men are violent sex beasts" but it does make me cautious and rightly so. If you've been violated you learn to be on guard.

I have literally never heard a woman criticise a man for being a virgin. I'm sure it happens but I've never heard it.

You're right. What I really meant to say that women feel about men in particular, and that feeling is very at odds with the reality. Catastrophizing in neolingo, I think? It's not even rally a stereotype about men, bcoz for stereotypes to be what they are, you'd need much larger kernel of social truth to it.

What I really think goes on is that women are innately aware of mens predatory nature. Men aren't predatory bcoz we're socialized not to be, but we have a great capacity for violence given the opportunity. Notice that "given the opportunity" is very popular in womans dictionary. All men are [potentially] much bigger sluts, if given the opportunity etc.

It's the same instinctive fawn response even men have - smaller guy smiles and slouches his shoulders in front of a much larger guy. Even if the large guy is a sweetheart, he's intrinsically intimidating and our lizard brain responds, no matter the social reality.

I have lots of women friends and they're all mature reasonable people.

I agree my views are ultimately misantrophic. I don't trust what people say, I trust what they do.

And in this case, what overwhelming majority of women will do is flip their shit when they're told no by a guy whom she is throwing herself at already (an important precondition, remind you). She may have enough self-control to not literally flip her shit, but you can read it on her face and follow up actions regardless.

There's literally hard data on this, on PPD reposted study where women will bully incels more proportionally to how much they're rejected by chad. There's overarching quality of incel bitterness to it, except incels are comparably fewer to AWALT.

It's really contrasting to a guy bcoz we're all like "what the fuck is her problem, i get rejected all the time lol", only incels kinda share this sort of entitlement with this particular AWALT butthurt at play here. And after you talk to women, you get plethora of hamsters why they flip their shit. Sometimes they talk more honestly its about self-esteem, more often than not it's the fetal position "I'M NOT LIKE THAT, STOP SHAMING ME".

Here's how "throwing herself at him" plays out (anecdotally IME):

Woman believes the guy is interested in having sex with her, usually coz she's in fuckable league to begin with, there are no hotter competing women around etc.
Woman is interested in having sex with the guy in turn.
The guy says no, typically for a reason which makes said woman flip upon hearing "I'm flattered, but I'm not interested in hookups".

But I was rejected consistently as a teenager for being fat and autistic so rejection feels normal for me.

I'm not really sure if it's about "being rejected consistently" due to juggernaut effect - because the possibility for sex always exists for you - it's why women across the board derive far less value from sex to begin with (I don't buy any of that evopsych bullshit, I think sex is cheapened for women because its on instant tap). Before you go on the deep end for it to be formative, you'll simply feed on validation from even bigger losers than you are, even if you're kinda disgusted by the prospect.

Meanwhile, majority of guys, hot or average, encounter hard loneliness at some point, which hammers the point home - men have far lower expectation on being "lovable" because the sexual pursuit simping we receive is sparse at best. With women, there's some deep driven self-worth thing going on that makes em flip. something like "oops, my guydar was proven invalid, am I even a person?". Same thing with ED, for example. The guy "leads her on" in validating her sexual value or whatever, and then "reneges" on it.

This is what happened sort of - the unhealthy validation cycle. However, sex isn't enough for women (or most men) and being rejected by most guys (except in drunken hook ups) has a lasting impact. I also didn't "aim lower" for the first couple of years, I just felt confused and dejected. It was drinking culture that turned me on to tasteless hook ups which I thankfully ditched after a couple awful years. I had incredibly awful self esteem, and actually those hook ups made me feel even more unlovable and unwanted because I learned sex and love were miles apart. And I was fuckable but not lovable.

Again, being pursued by drunk girls is plenty of validation for most guys. Once again, far lower expectations in this than anything women have.

Deep drives like this stay with us and influence our behavior when we're stressed, that is where I subscribe to AWALT/AMALT narratives.

Maturity entails merely control over innate impulse, not having a lobotomy.

For instance, AMALT statement of "men are violent" works the same. The impulse of ALL men, no matter how chill and mature, is to choose violence (if the risk is assessed as viable odds) when facing sufficient adversity, before choosing to submit.

Whereas woman's AWALT here would be "women are predominantly pussies" - their impulse is to preferentially submit (fawn response), rather than risk violence, even if the latter has favorable odds. These things are hard-wired, innate, self-evident to everyone (except feminists lol) and not something you can really paper over with maturity because stress always brings it forth at least in the form of subtly influencing our behavior. For instance, if you know what to look for, you can identify sex of virtually any reddit user from the aggro/sub style of their comments with ridiculous precision, hence "ALL". This works regardless of gender they identify as, orientation, politics, culture (albeit aggro/sub markers are culture-contextual, ie only people familiar with the culture can tell).

Point being, I posit the "flip the shit" is some deep seated impulse that all hetero women experience. Possibly deriving from some hardwired ick on steroids - "She chooses a man, and he's singalling she can't count on controlling him to further survival of her genes, the spider sense is broken, alert alert", and all possible insecurities building/hamstering on top of that.

I think self-worth explanations are too simplistic here as they presuppose absence of animal impulses. I think pure-nurture narratives like that are lazy at best. Though when women identify it as such I consider it more honest ("seeking answers", instead of just BAWW, STOP SHITTALKING ME). Self-worth issues can't explain the generality I've witnessed, especially across three rather distinct cultures (eastern eu, western eu, asia).

Lol, that was a rollercoaster! Well the virgin ex became physical with me which is what ended the relationship. My current partner was my high school sweetheart and in all the years we’ve been together he has never given me a reason to believe I shouldn’t trust him. Wanting to explore your sexuality and experiment isn’t a bad thing, and deciding you want to settle down after doing so is normal. There are a lot of people who go through phases in their lives where they just want to have some fun and explore that stuff, but don’t want to live that way forever. Proud slut here. Happily re-married after my "wall" with a handsome man with an awesome personality who earns twice my salary.
