Physical attractiveness is one aspect, but the other is that women don't like those guys because they really are bad people (entitled, selfish, deceitful, sexist men).

I think they deeply consider male entitlement their natural birthright. So being forced to give that up and actually look in the mirror and become a better person - an actual fullfledged human -, they would never consider that voluntarily. So that is why in their eyes they are involuntary celibate. Which of course they aren't - just because some paths in life are challenging, doesn't mean you can't make the choice to follow that path.

In a way you can say, that their male entitlement and all the shittyness that entails is more important to them, than actually having sex.

i’ve read a few studies that men literally don’t see women who they’re not attracted to. like their brains just gloss over them as people, and they forget about them immediately. women don’t do this: we see and remember everyone. that explains so much of inceldom and purple pill debate stuff in general.

this means that incels really only recall beautiful women. therefore, unless they’re beautiful men who are also somewhat charming and stable, they’re out of luck. this makes them think that no women like them, when in reality they’re just not perceiving the women who are in their league. now that they’ve adopted such a garbage attitude, pretty much everyone is above their league, so it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

this phenomenon also explains why more women than men think that men and women can be friends. if men aren’t perceiving you, they’re not going to be able to be your friend. that means that most of your male friends would date or have sex with you. your male friends who wouldn’t are probably family friends, gay or asexual, or met through some common interest or hobby where they were kinda forced to perceive you. women befriend anybody in their vicinity that they vibe with even if they’re not hot to them. these endless relationship sub posts about boyfriends with a “girl best friend” make my head want to explode.

My partner says there's no such thing as involuntary celibacy as if it should be a basic well known fact for everyone. He hates talking about societal issues but will bluntly say "just shower" for example as a minimal way of summarizing what everyone with some sanity left is saying; the standard isn't high. The only possible reason anyone is not having sex right now or is not in a relationship right now is either because they have standards themselves, and/or they refuse to be hygienic and polite. It's voluntary; they just choose not to be decent and/or they choose not to fuck people that would be willing to fuck them.

When their idea of being a man is all about subjugating women, if her needs are fulfilled in any way by his actions / lack of action, he thinks she's "won" in his imaginary game and he's a loser.

Some make the choice not to believe it, as a result of taking responsibility for themselves.

The incel myth is an expression of men's blame offsetting, which like carbon offsetting, doesn't fix the root of problem.

If they can pin responsibility for their problem onto someone else and make that burden stick, that person, as the loser takes the blame, therefore making the man a winner by default, able to claim false virtue.

Incels have failed to get women to accept the myth en masse and this desperate cope only helps them avoid accepting their own failure, in shared denial with other incels.

It brings them no closer to controlling the sexuality of the women they hate while desiring.
