No. I love being a woman. It has its drawbacks but I’m too feminine. Yes I could also be a feminine man but that wouldn’t be as well received in society.

With my personality, I think life will be easier for me if I was a man. I have male centric hobbies, and I prefer accomplishments over relationship with people. I wanted to work on my career all of my 20's. The only reason I started dating in my late 20's was because I was a woman and had a shorter fertility timeline. Otherwise, I think I would've waited a bit and could've been more successful than I am currently. It also sucks to be pregnant and have periods and I wish I didn't have to go through that.

I know there are benefits to being a woman, I used to think there's no downsides of being a boy, but the older I get, the more I see both sides. I know that it's easier for me as a woman to call for help from friends or strangers. If I show weakness and vulnerability, I rarely get shamed, instead everyone around me rallies and tries to solve that problem for me even if I didn't ask them to.

However, my personality is one that enjoys having strength myself rather than having everyone solve my problems for me. I can't feel proud or accomplished, or hit real self actualization if I don't show myself that I can solve problems.

But I've lived 3 decades as a woman, I warped and developed my personality to align with the world around me, I'm used to being a woman with all that it comes with. I'm sure if I suddenly switch to being a man, I will have problems adjusting, since even the way I talk will need to change. But I think if I started as a boy, I would've had a smoother life that's more in line with my personality.

Lol fuck no. I quite like being a women and giving birth to my 2 children was something beautiful and life changing and I would not like that opportunity taken a way from me. I also like being feminine so that usually doesn’t translate all that well to a man.

i think to myself the one time that i made the first move : if he had rejected me i would’ve probably quit my job and spiraled into a depression.

i have a lot of social anxiety sometimes and i would hate having to always lead interactions.

thanks to their low standards, men are also very easy to impress.

No. I think women can enjoy more freedoms, can get away with more things, experience more kindness, can have multiple orgasms, can wear any clothes and have any haircut they want, feel less pressure to 'succeed' or 'perform' (ok, but instead the pressure to always look pretty), get help easier than men... There are cons too (menstruation pain and discomfort, childbirth, dangerous to travel alone in certain countries...), but I wouldn't switch.

No. Even though my experience as a woman hasn’t been great, I can’t picture myself as a man. I’m a very feminine person and have never once questioned my gender, which I feel grateful for.

probably not? i’m 33 years old, i am who i am and i’m very comfortable with that.

when i was younger, i may have preferred to be male, not because i felt male in any way, but because i felt uncomfortable as a woman. i was raised in a way where being female felt limiting, even if it was not so much in the greater world.

as an adult there have been fleeting moments of “fuck, if only i was a man” but overwhelmingly i have become content with womanhood and have learned to define my femininity in my own way.

I'd rather stay a woman in all scenarios, even the ones which do not favor my safety, certainty, or pleasure. I cannot imagine being anything else. I am a woman. The idea of being in a man's body with my mind strikes me as inherently dissonant and horrid. I like being a woman. I like being girly. I like dresses and sparkles. I like being looked at by my man as a woman and conducting my affairs as a lady woman in society. Birth control largely prevents my getting pregnant and making a man wear a condom as well doubly so. I've been sexually assaulted and while it wasn't my favorite experience, I'm past the point of that trauma making me not want to be a women with a woman's body and curves. And frankly, I know enough good men at this point that if it were to happen again, I could ensure the person was 6 feet under for it.

Do I wish it were as safe to be a woman as a man in dating? Yes. Do I wish they did not have size and physical advantage? Yes, and for more reasons than just dating. Do I wish I could only get pregnant if I wanted to? Yes.

Is any of this worth sacrificing a part of who I am for? No.

Being a woman definitely has its advantages. Especially if you’re attractive. I think I’d prefer to remain female, although there certainly are many pros to being a male.

I have the best of both worlds as a fairly attractive woman who has never wanted kids (so no biological clock). I have a great job and make over 6 figures so I don't need provisioning but I enjoy being feminine, wearing pretty dresses, being fit and getting male attention. Dating isn't hard and I don't have to take the lead or pay.

I'd never want to trade this privilege of getting money and attention and the advantage in the sexual marketplace. Being a man sucks in comparison.

Tough call. Both sexes have advantages and disadvantages. I think I'd do OK as a guy - I'd probably be a nerdy non-conformist. My personality is pretty balanced as far as masculine and feminine qualities.

I do enjoy dresses and glitter and having long hair - women just have more options to express ourselves through our appearance, which is fun. Men are more restricted in what is considered socially acceptable in terms of clothes, hair, shoes, makeup, etc., especially in the corporate world, where your opportunities to express yourself are limited to your tie or your socks. So if I were a guy, I could see myself challenging these norms on the grounds of discrimination.

In some ways, it's easier being a woman because the expectations are often lower, which is sad, but sometimes advantageous. For example, as a female musician, just being decent or mediocre at an instrument impresses people, whereas most men have to be extremely proficient to get noticed. But it also sucks, because you don't know if you're actually good, or just a novelty.

In conclusion, I don't think I'd prefer to be a man, but I don't think I'd hate it either.

Absolutely not. If gender is a spectrum I fall very firmly on the extreme end of female, I love being a woman, love my girlfriends, have “girly” hobbies and have had mostly great experiences dating men. There are definitely some downsides but I’ve been able to manage the safety aspect by carefully vetting dates and letting people know where I am.

I've also always craved respect more than affection, and women rarely get respect.

I'm happy with my life overall and don't resent it. But all else being equal I'd prefer to be a man.

I would not want to become a man now but I think I'd be better off having been born a man. I was always very athletically inclined but was heavily discouraged from working out cuz I would get bulky and in general discouraged from achieving things I could achieve in that department. Even now while I'd love to put on muscle I know I couldn't do that and still appeal to the majority of men, so being that I'm straight that'd be bad.

If I were a guy I could in general do lots of things I do now and that are considered bad and they'd be seen as neutral or even good. I have slight autism as well, which makes my mannerisms much more naturally "masculine", and learning how to behave in a more "feminine" way was an extremely hard process as well. Puberty was honestly shit too, I remember hating feminine clothing, makeup, shaving, having to adhere to beauty standards I detested. As a man all I'd have to do to be physically hot assuming I was born with a face of an equal attractiveness to now would be hitting the gym (which I love doing anyway), and I'd fit in much better overall.

The only issue I think I'd have would be not having as much casual sex as I do now, which would mean dry periods between relationships. I'm also a switch and assuming I'd also be a switch as a man that'd mean it'd be harder to be sexually fulfilled as there are more submissive men than dominant women.

In physical terms, I wouldn't want to give myself dysphoria. Socially, however, there wouldn't be many downsides. Living the way I want would be easier and there are a lot of pluses like expecting to be safer and richer with more power over my life.

When I was still single I prefered to be a man. A female body is designed to let a baby grow, but for almost everything a male body seems just more practical than a female body. It is stronger, more energetic, less likely to feel a lot of stress or anxiety, can pee while standing and having trousers on and (most convenient!) never has to deal with menstruation. Also the male body is less sexualized than the female body, and as a man you less often have to convince others that you are/can be rational. So in most cases I don't really understand why someone would prefer a female body over a male body.

However, now I am not longer single, but married, I don't prefer to be a man anymore, because if I weten a man, I could not be a wife for my husband. I love my husband, I want to be with him forever and for him I want to be a woman. But if I was still single and if I would know that I would be single my whole life, I probably would prefer to be a man, for practical reasons. But in the end, preference doesn't matter, we just have to deal with reality.

I think that being a woman is a huge part of who I am, so, in order to be a man, my brain would have to change significantly, and then I wouldn’t be myself anymore. So, it’s not something I can comfortably imagine. I think there are probably pros and cons to being a man versus a woman. But if someone asks me “would you rather be a man?” I would say “No” because it would be such a huge change, and I enjoy being who I am.

I don't want to be in the body of a man suddenly; I've seen what trans people go through and it's quite difficult for them to be stuck in a body that is the wrong gender.

However, there are a lot of contexts where I wish people would treat me the same way they treat a man.

And some of the most extreme physical pain experienced would be erased, that'd be nice.

I don't know. It's hard to figure this out, because I don't know how to separate being a woman from my identity.

I like my identity. Would I still be me if I were a man? I don't know.

I imagine some things would be easier, some things would be harder. Probably from a career perspective things would be a lot easier.

I don't really know what it would feel like. It would be interesting if I could switch bodies with a man for a day, just to see what that feels like and whether it's overall better or worse.

I guess I'm biased because I've spent almost four decades being a chick, but no, I don't think I'd prefer to be a man. I'm comfortable in my own skin, I really enjoy sex as a woman, and even if many of my hobbies/interests are often male dominated, that didn't change how I perceived myself. Also, if I am turned on at an...inappropriate time, no one knows but me. I have a lot of sympathy for dudes having boners at unwanted moments, that had to be rough when y'all were teens.

Plus, I really like dudes and having sex with them. If I was myself just in a male body (so, same brain, same personality), I'd be a gay dude. That means my dating pool would have shrunk significantly, and that includes losing out on my husband.

That being said, if I had the opportunity to swap my body at will...I'd probably try out a dude's body from time to time. It seems like it would be a fun novelty. But I wouldn't permanently change my gender/biological sex.

If you're talking about dating in particular... hard to say whether that would be a positive or negative change for me.

I'm bi, so my dating pool would be about the same size, but it'd be gay men and straight women rather than the other way around, and of course even bi people would be reacting to me as a man rather than a woman.

Right now I only date other women because of PTSD, but I'm guessing my aspie ass wouldn't do so hot as a man approaching women. Maybe I could find a nice autistic girl and rock her world, but they're thin on the ground.

I'm thinking I'd be less scared of men if I could hold my own physically and wasn't terrified of getting pregnant, so I'd probably just switch to dating dudes.

If my PTSD still kicked in around men and I couldn't hack it with women, then the higher sex drive would make that a loss from where I am now, just in terms of dating.

But I'd still rather be a man overall.

I love being a woman. At this point in my life I am incredibly feminine and I love being a mom and being around kids in general. I wouldn't have the same opportunities or have the same support as a man. And I loved being pregnant.
