As a man, there's a couple of relatively easy actions you can take to achieve the best possible looks:

  1. Diet down to 10-12% bodyfat, which is where men have a six pack and look the most attractive. The average 25-year-old American man has a bodyfat percent of around 26% and a healthy weight loss goal is 0.5% body weight per week, so this can be done in ~8 months on average. No fancy diet needed, just counting calories and eating some extra protein.
  2. Workout 4-5 hours per week at the gym, using any of the hundreds of free programs on the Internet. After 6 months of consistent training you'll have clearly defined forearms and your chest will look nice without a shirt. Can be literally any gym, even the cheapest one will do just fine. Planet Fitness is like $30/month even in Manhattan so literally every American living in a city can afford this.

For reference, I personally have a six pack, bench press 1x my own body weight, and have zero issues in the dating world other than being too picky, so I like to think I know what I'm talking about. But I see a ton of men online and offline who are single and yet still refuse to do this. Is it because...

a) I'm wrong and even having a six pack plus muscles doesn't solve one's dating problems

b) It's too hard for the majority of men, so they don't do it despite the dating benefits

c) Society keeps telling men having a six pack is not important, so single men under-appreciate the importance of fitness for dating

Change my mind about fitness being the ultimate solution to the vast majority of single men's woes.
