As a woman who has taken adult ballroom dance classes, I have noticed that there is always a shortage of men, and women frequently have to partner with other women. But it’s such a great opportunity to meet other women: - you rotate partners and get to meet other women in the class - you actually get to hold hands, and make other bodily contact, where you can see if you click with somebody in a non-awkward acceptable way - ballroom dancing is much more adult catering than a lot of other activities - you can start with building a friendship and a social that grows into something more, or leads you to meet other people - alot of these classes are made up of beginners so you don’t have to worry about embarrassing yourself because everyone is equally as bad. - beginner level ballroom doesn’t take much athletic ability at all, if you can walk, you can waltz. - even if it doesn’t lead you to a partner, you learn some sweet dance skills

It just seems like ballroom dance classes are an overlooked opportunity for men to get themselves out there. Have you personally considered taking some lessons? If not, why not? If you did, what was your experience like?
