A lot of people conflate college degrees and earnings. As someone with 2 graduate degrees I’ve seen peers who are women get degrees in majors that are useless from a ROI perspective and their partners who went into trades make double what they do

College degrees in STEM related fields are the game changer but most women don’t gravitate towards STEM/Accounting or High Finance. Most gravitate towards liberal arts

You're basically saying that women are pricing themselves out of the market both figuratively and literally. They are becoming too much for men to deal with and also, no man wants to date a Debt Trap.

I dropped out of college, debt free, and now I earn a good wage without any debt at all. Most of the girls my age are still in college and owe so much fucking money that they could have bought a house for that debt instead! (400k is the average cost of a house by the way).

Am I considered a passport bro if I am dating a girl from another country and I didn't have to migrate to hers to find her, but rather, she migrated here? 🤔

Debt is not a requirement to attend college and if we wanted to, we could make universities tuition-free in the US.
Education is generally an excellent thing. It outpaces almost everything else in terms of ROI as far as career and life choices go. It's one of the few things that can almost assure you a route out of poverty in the US if done right (not saying all degrees or people with degrees do this)
It's not better for men to have to leave the country to find a wife
It's not better for the nation for people to be less educated on average. We need educated professionals, we are not solely a manufacturing economy anymore.

By far the better option is to enable as many people as possible to pursue university at low cost, to maximize our strength in the modern economy and provide people class mobility

The primary reason it's good for men is a reason you didn't list. Not only are women in debt, but they're in debt for bullshit degrees. Many women have a bullshit degree that and end up working a bullshit job. Kinda a double whammy.

It's not really a big issue because STEM education and STEM fields are still majority men by a large margin.

Meaning, yes women are graduating more, but they're getting bullshit degrees

Edit: another point to note, men are even more of a majority in STEM careers. Women are known to quit their careers soon into their practice, 40% of female physicians go part time or quit altogether within just 6 years of completing their residency. If you've ever worked in an office, you know how often women take maternity leaves and then never come back.

So not only are women pursuing bullshit degrees, but the ones that pursue worthwhile ones end up just wasting their time because they quit soon after.

This one in particular is one that doesn’t bother me at all. Men don’t need a leg up in getting college degrees. I got one and really didn’t have to try too hard for just a bachelors. And yes, it was in a STEM field.

People put a degree up on a pedestal like it’s some giant accomplishment. Unless it’s some specialized and advanced degree from a very prestigious university, then you haven’t proved you’re smarter than anyone else. I know absolute morons that graduated with an engineering degree just because they persevered and refused to drop out or change majors.

Guys, if you don’t like that women are getting more college degrees than us, then go to college and get a fucking degree. Nuff said.

Women have been a majority of students in college in the US since the 1970s. It doesn't appear to benefit men in any way. Women have not changed behaviors to date down and instead fantasize more about being independent.

What you're describing is hypergamy, it only benefits a few men, so in general for all men, it's a downgrade.

I never experienced Golden Penis Syndrome at my college about 15 years ago, despite going to a college with a 60% female student body, with seemingly at 25% of the males being gay (the college was right next to a gayborhood, so gay students specifically applied to attend it).

I disagree for several reasons but most importantly, when we cut funding in schools for sports, recesses with engaging playgrounds, field trips and other energy burning hands on experiences, we rob young boys of their ability to better focus as well as we fail to inspire them the way young boys are best inspired to learn.

Fuck the partner aspect 20 years later. Save the little boys.

If most women are outclassing most men (we'll say 60% of women), 10% get the college boys, and 15% end up dating down, that leaves 35% of women with nothing. That doesn't help anyone. Women or men.

This has been looked on very badly by most of western society: 1 2 3 . It's not exactly a secret that doing so will most likely get you ostracized from western society, which ya'know, is where they work. The entire appeal of a passport bro is that foreign women look at their average financial success in the west much more favorably than western women. You can't do that if you move to another county, then you're just making what everyone else makes.

I don't think women outpacing men in college is necessarily a bad thing, but I think the way that college degrees are valued in the dating market is way to high. Trades often make a lot of money in many fields and can come with certifications and skills that make them more valuable than people with degrees. I personally work with a welder, pipefitter, electrician, and surveyor, all of us under 30, and they each earn like 30-40k over me a year, and I'm the only one with a degree. Yet only the pipefitter was able to meet a woman (and they've known each other since kindergarten). The other 3 are routinely blown off on dates due to their "lack of education". Even in educated fields I am often still rejected for not having a masters degree, even when I have professional certifications that are arguably harder to get than a masters, as well as my major/profession being much more rigorous.

Personally I think it has much more to do with the 'checklist' that a lot of women create when searching for a partner, either intentionally or subconsciously, and a lot of that 'list' being based on perceived societal qualities (status, height, education, etc.) rather than things that would actually establish men as a good partner (personality, health, financial security, etc.). If society looked at those 'lists' the same way it looks at passport bros, I think that education would be a much smaller issue in the dating world.

People who won’t go to college because of debt just don’t understand finance. You won’t take a $50k loan for something that increases your earning potential for the rest of your life, but you’ll take out $50k to buy a car that depreciates in value and has double the interest rate. Subsidized student loans are like the cheapest loans available to the average person.
