Politics rarely comes into my real life as I don't talk about it with most friends or family.

However, I've definitely noticed buff, right wing dudes in the Navy who struggled.

The reason in my mind is that "social skills" are what's required to meet girls, show them you're an empathetic human, and navigate the landscape to taking it further.

Only time politics ever were an issue was when I briefly dated a conservative/maga chick, but in my defense I don't think she really knew what she was talking about because she hated Tate and that manosphere crap when the biggest consumer market are younger people. She was pretty hot but I don't think I could be with someone like that.

Despite what left wing or right wing Reddit would tell you, I don't think there's necessarily a correlation. What's more likely to happen is people with more staunch views tend to prefer people who prefer those same staunch views.

Most women do lean left, but that doesn't necessarily translate to every woman acting like an extreme blue haired lefty. Many women don't really care to make politics part of their personality or regular social media fixations.

It's more about dating pools. Most people are going to date people with similar values. Leftist men will date leftist women. Right-wing men date right-wing women. Yeah, people do date across political lines, but I don't think those tend to work long-term. If it's a hot hookup that won't turn into anything, you probably care less how they voted, though.

I think the idea might be "left-wing men are more likely to be pro-feminist and empathetic to women's struggles." It makes sense on paper, but it ignores: some women are conservative and traditionalist and expect a dude to "wear the pants" or whatever and get turned off when he's too egalitarian. Some don't want to do the work of being egalitarian in a relationship and want the dude to handle the big, cognitively demanding decisions. Some don't even wanna be asked "where do you want to go tonight?" Some are like "you're the man, you're supposed to decide that." Those women are going to go for right-wing men.

And people don't always live by their professed values: somebody can proclaim all these pro-woman, empathetic values in public and then still treat their woman like crap behind closed doors. There are hypocritical "feminist" men. A guy could be leftist and still not do well with leftist women because he doesn't actually treat them in as egalitarian as they'd like. Maybe he even cheats on them, who knows. A leftist woman likely isn't going to date a guy who voted against her right to bodily autonomy, but she's not going to be much happier with a guy who voted the "right way" but still expects her to pick up his socks. By that same token, a "conservative man" might still have too low confidence to even make certain calls without deferring to somebody else, no matter how many online rants he goes on about on how "women should treat their man like he's the king of the household" or whatever. He might still be unable to even make eye contact with a woman, let alone lead her. People say one thing and do another all the fucking time.

I think certain traits that make a man less desirable to women may somewhat correlate with being right-wing. Like, lower emotional intelligence or a feeling of entitlement to sex. But, like, not every right-wing guy is as extreme as the guy going around saying shit like "women belong in the kitchen and shouldn't be allowed to have their own credit cards." And even the ones who are that extreme, well… we know some people will still date assholes if they are charming and attractive assholes, so plenty of those guys are still getting laid.

All in all, I think there are too many other factors for politics to affect dating success much. They affect who you date more than how many dates you can get.

People with different political views will have different values and attract others with the same values. There are a fair amount of leftist d-bags that are getting lots of girls. The rightist d-bags get very few.

The odd part is that the lefties are broke(shit/average tier jobs) and almost all the rightists have good paying jobs.

To take this a step further...the leftists I know that got married and had families are extremely happy, vs the rightists who did the same have mixed feelimgs about it all.

The biggest complaint from the rightist friends is lack of alignment on values.

Dating (esp for the long term )at its core is about finding someone with aligned values for a harmonious relationship, idk why they are trying to skip steps.

Not really a crazy difference IRL, from my experience living in southern USA leftist has more opportunities and options than someone noticeably on the right. I would say majority white and Asian girls in my area usually don't care since alot of them are conservative anyway. Black and Hispanic def do at the end of the day.

Well as a teenager I was very left and at that age I was being politically active. I got to learn a lot of people that way and eventually fell in love with one. She actually reciprocated my feelings but I was horrible shy at 16. She was also 17ish and far more mature which all scared the shit out of me. Not asking her out is probably the only thing I regret having done, or not.

But if you just go to the leftists to pick up girls, I don't think you would be successful. People will sniff it that you look more at the chicks than you can cite Marx.

Nowadays I am not leftist anymore (actually, I refuse to discuss politics. They are all liars anyway), but women still like me. But I think it's rather because I am a nice person and I don't look bad for a man.

The biggest factor for being successful at dating is looks (height, race, facial structure, hair, and physique) and then of course game/ charm.

For casual relationships you can easily just code switch during dates unless you're super hardcore either way. May get tougher when you're in a LTR and more serious topics come up.

The most successful Casanova type I know IRL definitely does lean left (but not sure if I'd call him a leftist per se). Not super close with him so not sure how much politics comes up during his dates, if at all.

But I think the primary reason he's so successful with women is just that he is the ideal look most women (especially white ones) just drool over. Avg height, but pretty chiseled physique and jaw line. Has the Italian features like dark hair and all. Dude is over 40 now and he's still unmarried but is almost always dating some dime piece. Has sex at will with solid 8s on the regular.

“More successful” than who? Success is not defined by political beliefs. Charisma is found across the political spectrum.

Women like (attractive) guys who can be confident in themselves to the fullest for starters, and guys who have beliefs that mesh with what they want in life. I’m not entirely sure. I know for sure that black women- a demographic that votes insanely left in quantity- generally do not want men who are bisexual. All that kumbaya-progressive rhetoric goes out the window when it comes to sexual preference. I think the same can be said for women in general. Women generally want “alpha” men and male bisexuality usually counteracts that perception. Of course, there are women who don’t mind at all. Im sure there will be someone who will say “NOT ALL!”

American politics almost always affects women more than men. For a lot of us dudes, basic, day to day life does not change whether there's a democrat or republican in the white house, in a way that just isn't true for women.

Regardless of your own personal politics, no reasonable person can argue that the american right is better for women than the American left; the left has issues with misogyny for sure but the right has misogyny as an actual policy platform. Republicans literally, objectively want women to have fewer rights than democrats do, the right believes very strongly into forcing women into the strict gender roles of the past, which most women deeply resent. And for good reason!

It's not a trick or a game. It's not an unfair advantage leftist men have over right wing men. Because America is where we are politically, voting and supporting the republicans at this point is undeniably being anti-woman. I think many left leaning men possess certain characteristics that are appealing to many women, who likely feel the same way on things like social matters, equality, racism/sexism, etc.

I notice the opposite though, moderate and right wing guys doing the best despite living in an extremely diverse area. Leftist guys are typically noticeably more feminine in the way they carry themselves and their perspective and typically attract more masculine women

The thing to keep in mind is leftist men will typically over emphasize intellectualism as an attraction trigger, and more conservative men will typically emphasize raw masculinity.

When push comes to shove, biology typically wins out though. Most feminine women will be more attracted to a guy who signals dominance than just intellectual capability (which is why these spaces exist — most men are lacking in raw masculinity rather than intellectualism).

I think you’re asking the wrong question.

It shouldn’t be about left or right. And more often than naught you’ll usually end up with someone aligned with your world view just by virtue of knowing what you want in a partner.

Staking your identity over political left-right culture is only going to set you back socially and romantically.

What you should be asking is what are women looking for?

And more specifically what are the women you are interested in looking for?

If you have no one specific in mind or type in mind? You are making yourself go through a lot hoops to figure out what a women wants wholesale. That usually never works out well.

And those wholesale wants are pretty typical. They want to be treated equally in terms of respect and station in life. They don’t want someone dictating terms to them in regards to their body or way of life. And for you to be a decent human being.

Being attractive always helps but it only gets you so far. Most women aren’t looking for jacked up dudes. 9 times out of ten they’ll go with a softer looking dude who hits what their looking for over a swole bro whose only got that going for themselves. Have a job, don’t be socially inept, be able to take care of yourself, be somewhat educated and have goals for yourself.

You have to take the time to get to know them. Whether it’s just to be causal or if you’re looking for something more.

Have hobbies they don’t have to be aligned with their hobbies but it’s a good way to show them you have passions outside of just getting laid.

Be confident in yourself. Like what you like and don’t be afraid to be yourself. Whether you’re into geek stuff or masculine tough guy shit you’ll be surprised how much both overlap. As long as you are sincere and open they’ll dig it.

Also, a lot of left-adjacent personality traits like kindness and gentleness and treating women with respect are appreciated by women. Woman like a guy who is kind and caring, and sometimes they might be inspired by a man who stands up for his beliefs. I have a buddy who is a very tall and handsome long-haired dude who goes out waving a Palestine flag on the street every day. He's big enough to defend himself against attacks from right-wingers, so he seems pretty badass as he champions a cause women, most of whom tend to be liberals, agree with. As far as I can tell, he gets a lot of poon. He doesn't kiss and tell much though, so I can't verify it. Maybe the women are just comfortable around him because he is masculine.

This is anecdotal but the lefty friends that I have had have all been really shy around women. Like cripplingly shy. I had this one friend who was a card carrying member of the Democratic party. He dated a girl for years who was a country girl (she grew up in a trailer park but she wasn't trailer trash if you get my meaning). The problem is that he would never want to commit because he politics didn't align with hers. He never took her seriously and ended up stringing her along for the entire duration of their relationship.

What's really sad is that she was really sweet, like she would cook for him or take time out of her day to comfort him if he was feeling down and what not, but he never cared. People sometimes call this subreddit a cesspool but what he did was truly dirty, even at my worst fuckboy moments, I never kept a girl on for so long only to drop her when something better came along, and then justify it by saying that she didn't go to college, yes this was his excuse for not being serious with her.

Anyway anytime we went out of drinks, he would complain that he was looking for someone else I would wingman for him but he would just shoot himself in the foot on purpose. I honestly think that this was a ritual of him beating himself up over what he was doing to this girl.

The other lefty people I knew were always very weak men. And by that I mean they let their partner control them to the point where it was humiliating. In fairness I had a relationship like this when I was younger so maybe I am more sensitive to the type but almost all of them were with women like that.

The type of guys that go for lefty women are also the friend zone guys that just wait for their opportunity to seize their moment. Then they get trapped in the toxic relationship because they put their object of affection on a pedestal.
