If you extrapolate what has happened with women making more money to them making 10x as much as men, my guess is that we would go extinct.

That's assuming there's some kind of magical force keeping things that way no matter what but if there's no magic involved it would just naturally go back to a more stable state very quickly.

They'd barely exist.

In my opinion men would get some advantages as more men could be stay at home husbands/dad, being able to be free of the stress of Jobs

Nope. Men would still be expected to be capable of providing, since no matter how much women make they still get pregnant and become severely limited in the work they can do for a certain period of time.

Correct. Hypergamy mandates that men maintain a high value in some field relative to women. If women rise above in one field, that just means men increasingly have to focus on the other fields where women are not above. It's deeply unfortunate.

But from my experience and what I’ve seen

A majority or let’s just say an amount of women will be single. Either because they see no financial benefit or they feel like they are settling or being negatively affected by that proposition. So they will see no point in cohabitation or a relationship

Some will try to become sugar mommas or etc and try to leverage their assets to try to convince a man to ltr

Normally that never really works out in the end. Because men and women are different. So that’s how the guy puts minimal effort in. Cheats. And overall does not act in the way women like

Some will begin having casual sex or fwb or etc because they don’t need or depend on a man for anything. And because of that they will start only seeing the sexual benefits and etc

On the flip side I know what men will do. But that’s not the question

To further answer the question assuming all expressions of masculinity exists

I don’t think this will actually make men more feminine or submissive or etc

I think it will just exacerbate the differences

Rich women even today aren’t going in mass for a man that cries everyday and does make up and wears skirts and is less dominant and more agreeable and etc

When you remove one layer of mate selection traits, other layers will take over and replace them in mate selection. When income/resources, status from job, are no longer relevant in men for mate selection, other relevant traits will take over. Women will still go for "the best mate they can get" under the new trait-weightings.

What humans find attractive in others as mates is context-sensitive. From the Oxford handbook of human mating (a book everyone here should have read). When the context is, that resources and status from job are irrelevant, this will not be selected for anymore.

When economic dominance is reversed, women would favor direct genetic quality, health, parental investment, and cooperative traits. Resource signaling becomes largely irrelevant. Essentially, mate selection shifts from provider-centric to health and investment-centric, with genetic and behavioral traits dominating.

Short term (1-3 years): Nothing changes from today

Short-medium (3-5 years): Tension arises. Divorce skyrockets, total fertility rates start going down a lot faster than today.

Medium term (5-10 years): Total fertility rates of 0.2 or lower become the absolute norm. Governments start panicking for real. Parallel societies start forming (small, incipient - but resilient) - in all forms (mostly polygamy tho). Laws start to change to allow polyamory. The actual behavior of polyamory still remains marginal, but the economic incentive and power of such arrangements pushes the legislative and cultural change.

Medium-long term (10-20 years): Riots become more common. The big mass of men with nothing to lose start organizing violently. The Regime is able to quell the riots most of the time with an army of robots (built and maintain by a tiny minority of well paid asexual nerds who quietly get allocated an ugly wife).

Longer term (20-50 years): Civilization as we know it ceases to exist. It's impossible to predict the final act that leads to this (be it ww3; nuclear armagheddon or a succession of events). Robots are unable to successfully replace men at infrastructure upkeep. The lopsided population pyramid catches up with everyone. You can't have a first world civilization with a population that is 80%+ over the age of 70. Fukushima/Chernobyl types of accidents become very common.

Far longer (100 years): The children of the few survivors have their own version of the Adam and Eve and the Snake story - with the Snake being feminism/Marxism/"liberation" and multiple cautionary tales. Full reset is guaranteed.

Assuming the period starts today, by 2150 it's unclear anyone alive then would even be able to comprehend this comment or this thread. Or even what a thread means. Assuming there would be any way to access this thread unless someone printed it out before lights went out forever.

The 80/20 would then become 95/5 or 99/1 because there’s not many men who would be able to fulfill their hypergamous needs both from an attraction and provider perspective

For reference only 15% of men are 6’0 or taller and only about 15% of individuals make 6 figures so only about 2% of men check both boxes

It would basically be a lot more BM’s and women accepting a position in a man’s rotation. Can’t change biology

This is assuming that women's desire for men to be the provider is "social conditioning" and not innate behavior. This is also assuming that women have low representation among the super wealthy because of sexism and discrimination.

Simply put, women will not be comfortable providing financially for men. A 10 - 20% earnings gap does not have a real impact on daily life. Once it starts getting to about 50% and more is where the discrepancies become noticeable and a power dynamic begins to occur. You're talking about women earning 5 - 10x what men do, that would be a different world entirely.

The other thing is that people become ultra wealthy by creating, owning and managing capitalist machines like corporations and niche industries. To do this requires effort far beyond the average person's desire and requires a hypercompetitive mentality that is mostly only present in very particular men, not even men in general.

What would basically happen is that women would have an even smaller pool of men to date. Hypergamy is biological and undefeated.

In order for men to compete using qualities such as intelligence and beauty like you are describing, you would actually need to flatten the economic distribution and make it rather equal (theoretically what socialism and communism propose). Of course, this would simply shift men's desirability to result from other means of displaying power such as political power or social approval, and make money a significantly smaller factor (which has happened as women have gained more economic power from before, albeit not significantly more than men).

They would likely be rough to deal with. Average men already have it hard enough as is so this wouldn't help matters much at all. Especially if he wasn't to be the more masculine figure in the relationship then its not good to be in such a situation.

Hard to tell anyone anything if they are making more money. Since that is what a man will usually want. Anyway I guess it could work for the men that dont mind not being the provider or leader in the relationship.
