I'm not just talking about looks and things we all should know about conventional attractiveness (though this sub is a great example of how wildly men crash out about relatively mundane things like being attracted to height), I mean genuinely and truly. About the entire range of it.

For example (and example only, none of these are intended to be statements about reality for the purpose of this post, so I don't want for the discussion to get bogged down in debating these specific things vs the overall point of the post):

Can women trust if they talk about how dominance and controlled displays of aggression turn them on, that men won't run with that and insist "women love violence and being abused?" And use that as rationalization why "women deserve it" if a man chooses to be abusive to her?

Can women trust if they talk frankly about how few men viscerally arouse them based on appearance alone, that men won't start raging about how we should lose the right to vote (an actual example from this sub)?

Can women trust if we admit we don't feel obligated to "settle" in order to have children for the sake of "continuing society" that that won't be taken as rationale to coerce and oppress us into having children anyway?

There's so much talk about women "being honest." There's a lot of insistence that "honesty" is all men want. Do you really think that women should trust that men won't be ready with pitchforks for providing it?

It seems a bit like putting the cart before the horse to me. The safe space should come first to allow room for honesty. It seems pretty clear to me that men aren't ready for the truth they think they can handle based on the reactions so far to even the mildest observations about attraction, and it feels more like a powder keg than a safe space. But YMMV.

What do you think?
