The city I live near and work in had an ice storm. Normally I lose power and last year I lost running water for a week because of pump failures. I think 150k do not have power or about one third of the metro population.

Anyway forget underwater welding. Like climb an icy fucking pole to to repairs. Our utility company aware the executive level is unpopular because of how they have mishandled communication during emergencies in the past is posting tons of pictures of repairs. I seriously doubt any of these linemen are single most of them look decently attractive. One posted a picture of his cute dog in the truck bundled up. So thanks men doing dangerous jobs.

I think putting myself in the hypothetical of being hit on at a gay bar makes me appreciate womens view of being objectified a little better. Its like the man's talking me up and trying to make like him, but he's just trying to get something out of me (or into me, tee hee).

And as a straight guy, I cant stand being put in the role of convincing a potentially hostile party that Im an amazing person and that you should definitely sleep with me. I dislike that starving wolf trying to get a scrap of meat, but women make me play the role because they would never approach.

Remember, if you see an Arab/desi couple and they’re not looksmatched, it’s a high chance they’re cousins. I remember I went to a wedding where cousins were getting married and the dude was balding, 300+ pounds, and worked as a cashier. Women was a solid 6-7 and I just thought any American at this wedding had to be baffled lol. A guy who should be undatable (unless to another whale) is getting a woman who most guys would be satisfied marrying (granted, not to their cousins, but I doubt the groom cared lmao). With desi weddings, I see it happen a lot where the guy has to marry his cousin from back home to bring her here (west) lol.

There's a little local online scandal among two poets, they were dating a long time ago, she cheated on him with his friend, they broke up amicably. Later on he wrote a small post about her copying parts of other authors without giving any links, as it was a problem in their community of poets.

This year, 8 years later from the first events she writes a post about how harmful his behavior was and how he almost caused her to commit suicide. He writes a response trying to explain the situation and got blamed by her followers.

What I find interesting that it's mostly men who blame him for "unmanly behavior". He's "a man and should have taken responsibility for his GF, protect her from harm", although she isn't his girlfriend anymore. "You don't behave like a real man" and real man, I guess just tolerates cheating and false accusations. "You're a man and you're older than she is, you should have taken care of her".

I find it rather interesting how easily people use the appeal to gender norms as if it's something important.

Unpopular opinion (perhaps), but I'd sooner have women being contemptuous against men but as much honest as they could be than the gaslighting society acted upon males in injecting in their mind the idea that women are all special, all good, can't do any wrong and other kind of blue pilled bs that clutters people's mind. The fact that males who asked for "honesty" have been beginning to whine about it after they obtained what they wanted is disappointing.

It seems like most or at least half of women here agree with the notion that most men are physically undesirable/gross but whenever guys say that in most cases women are settling for their husband/bf and preferred a past fuckbuddy suddenly they won't agree to that.

If most men are unnatractive and most men get in relationships or married at some point, shouldn't it logicaly follow that most men have wives/gfs that consider them gross/unnatractive and don't experience raw lust from them.

So I'm isolating for a few days due to covid. Been grieving for my best friend (had to live stream the damned funeral) so obviously things are a bit shite.

I'm not normally a fan of Disney films, but I watched 'soul" and genuinely thought it was breathtaking.

It's about a jazz musician who dies and starts to make his journey to the 'great beyond' (afterlife). He decided he doesn't want to go yetz and finds himself in the 'great before" where souls are formed. It explores ones desire for purpose and a 'spark" and it really helped me come into terms with my best friend's recent death.

Oh it's also psychedelic and there's definitely a drug reference in there.

So after watching that, I woke up happy and had a great day. Finally learned some more violin and did some DJing, then chilled in the tub and made some healthy food.

Now Im planning to live my life in the most fulfilling way possible, which is what he would have wanted <3

Gonna book some gigs to watch, go travelling, force myself to hike even though the weather is shitty and adore the living hell out of my boyfriend.

I had an alcoholic GF which was also really really short, just 4'4, when drunk she would be outgoing and fun but she was also very VERY possessive and would have violent outbursts.

Once she saw me talking to her friend, she became jealous confronted me, broke her beer bottle and started chasing us with it. Her friend locked herself into toilet, and I jumped on the bar and then on this big fridge. She was too short so she couldn't reach me with the bottle even when she was jumping. And she was umping and swinging like a cute small rabbit infested with rabbis.

And this was when I felt truly loved for the first time in my life.

This small psycho loved me so much that she wanted to kill me, in front of all shocked customers. That gave me such a validation and confidence boost.

I actually cried a bit happy like a little pig right there on the fridge, waiting for her to stop swinging so I could hug her cute alcoholic little body.

Police came and arrested her, but I came to the police station and they had let me spend those 24 hours with her. Then I took her home and ate her little ass like there is no tomorrow.
