Every few months, I appreciate the check-ins about the phrase "seemingly HV" as a reminder that many of us, no matter how much we read on FDS, require practice to undo the pickme mindset we used to carry. While I see people speaking less often about "seemingly HV" men they have only been dating for weeks or months, I have seen an influx of women who are saying they are already dating or married to someone HV.

Woman to woman, I'm happy for y'all, but at the same time, I'd genuinely like to know more about your journey to FDS and how you apply these principles to your life. I'll be honest, some people seem to be here just to say "That would never happen to me because I've been with an HVM for 20 years," but others have said they are here to raise their daughters with FDS mentality or to help friends who are floundering in their pickme ways.

And lastly, just from a personal lens, I'm working diligently to be a more effective FDS rescuer to close friends. It's been lonely these past two years to cut out LVM and pickme's (I didn't have the words this whole time, but thank goodness now I do). What's worse is this feeling that some of my girlfriends are genuinely amazing and trying their best to get out of abusive relationships with LVM, but their friends or family keep pushing them back into the belief that good men are scarce and they should settle for manipulation, abuse, and mediocrity. Is anyone doing this or are most folks accepting that these friends are a lost cause? I'd love to hear more about your perspectives as people who have successfully found HV people but have advice on living as an FDS disciple after deciding you've found your person.
