I think the "grown out" is kind of the issue. American culture has an extreme emphasis on youth rather than maturity in my estimate. American culture and media pushes this kind of thing as the height of human existance and being unable to navigate this specific dynamic is in many ways a deficiency. In the last generation or two this has gotten extremley over emphasized to the point where a lot more of our culture is filtered through this.

american culture is really different from european one. Hell, the two largest debates in US (abortion and guns) are mostly non-issues in Europe.

Same with dating. Sure, most handsome men get more attention, but long term people usually self sort into relationships if that is what is desired.

A lot of American women also say they don't see any of the RP theories being true in the USA. If you ask the men, it's different. There's even an Australian youtuber, Alexander Grace who makes videos about RP theories.

I would be very surprised if preselection/abundance mentality isn't a factor in Australia, if AF/BB doesn't happen, if game doesn't work, if women don't do shit tests. I could imagine that lifting might not be so important due to cultural differences (it might even have become less important than before in the USA too, trends come and go), but I definitely wouldn't take your word for it.

Calling RP an ideology rubs be the wrong way, just like if someone called science an ideology. Cause thats what it boils down to -- science tells us stuff about the behavior of men and women.

Since we're talking about science, I wouldn't expect it to be an American thing. But I would expect slight cultural differences.

I live in Switzerland and I was really stunned by some of the behavior I read here. I know a few men/women who might have some affinity with these theories, but they are really a minority.

In my personal experience, even people from different economic and social backgrounds (from mine) aren't like that.

When I was in the army I met a lot of guys from all walks of life and although we might have some gross "guy talk", they never acted like it when we went out to bars.

Very few women function exactly as RP says even in the U.S., there are far more men who need to be able to retroactively frame those experiences in the way RP says they happened. Notice the very loose way that the concept of an "upgrade" is used, pull any two random humans and one will almost certainly surpass the other in some way. That makes it extremely easy to frame virtually any breakup as "hypergamy" and any woman who didn't wait your desired Roman widow mourning period to move on from you as "branch swinging."

Its definitely not just an American thing. I think i read that all over Asia (Japan, Korea, even China) you see similar concerns with younger men. They’re just becoming less and less interested in dating. I think there’s actually a term for it in Japan. The word translates to “herbivore men.” The government was actually getting worried that old people were dying faster than young people were having babies. This has been in the news for at least a decade maybe longer

It's definitely a very American thing. I immigrated to the US when I was a teen. I've been lucky enough to travel all over the world and live in multiple countries; I've also dated people from a lot of different places.

What I've noticed is RP ideology, (if you can call it that) tends to be more common in countries that tend to align with the US culturally.

People in places like Spain, Greece, or France where I've spent a lot of time have for the most part never heard of RP shit. If they have, they tend to see it as very strange and alien.

I feel like the US is just caught in this negative feedback look when it comes to dating and it's basically resulted in a race to the bottom. "How can I get maximum return while giving the least shit possible?"

It's quite sad and a big part of why I want to move when I'm done with my degree.

American here. It’s the same for me. I saw those dynamics in high school and maybe early college days. But after 25 I just don’t see these things playing out. Most people are just tryna put food on the table. All those games are for the young and the idle

It also depends on who you hang out with. Once I pursued my professional degree and then off to medical school most of the people around me were hardworking and exhausted.

I'm from a European culture where friends regularly kiss each other on the lips as a sign of affection with no deeper meaning behind it. According to TRP we'd all be cucks here which is patently not true.

Also, hookup culture is pretty out in the open in America compared to other western nations who participate in hookup culture but are more low key about it.

The prevalence of obesity created the conditions for RP theories to develop in America. Normal weight women in America have a greater value and their sense of self-worth is elevated. It's much harder to date these women unless you fulfil her set criteria.

Men turned to RP to figure out the ways to attract said women by learning game and lifting.

In Britain, there's similar RP stereotypes but to me this is kept under wraps by the class system, although Love Island culture is spreading like a disease and is pretty red pill.

(a) those instincts are universal. They exist in all human populations.

(b) they vary from person to person. This is actually an important feature of evolution. There's variation in every generation. So for example, it's possible to find a female widowbird that prefers short tails, even though the majority prefers long tails. And it's possible to find a woman who likes short men, but in TRP we would say that women tend to like tall men because the vast majority do.

(c) the expression of those instincts is altered by culture. Of course it is! Everything is altered by culture! Consider something that is unambiguously biologically innate: the sex drive itself. Humans are not asexual by default, and then out culture tells us to be sexual. No, sexuality is innate. And yet, things like promiscuity, which are expressions of the sex drive, are highly cultural.

You aren't specific about which "stereotype" you mean, but let's take hypergamy and polygamy as the example.

It is my belief that these instincts exist in all human populations (keeping in mind point (b) above). It's my belief that if you grabbed a few random people from an uncontacted hunter/gatherer tribe, and people from a insular Mormon church, and a random people from America and from Australia, you'd find that the men are polygamous and the women are hypergamous.

However, because of point (c) above, you'd find that their behavior in the communities you plucked them from, had been very different. A girl from the hunter-gatherer tribe would have had less than a dozen males to choose from, and she would have paired off along asortative lines - she had no other choice. The Mormon girl might have faced heavy pressure to marry a "nice" boy regardless of what she actually felt. The American girl might have been totally free to pursue her hypergamy without restraint. And the Australian? I don't know, you tell me.

I think that TRP is right about the underlying instinct, even though (b) and (c) are true.

...the real question you should ask is, which of these women is more likely to be happy. If you could design a culture, that should be your goal. History has taught us time and again that following our instincts (our feelings) without restraint does not make us happy. The reason so many people are fat (and miserable) is because our society makes it possible for us to satiate the hunger instinct whenever we feel it. But it turns out, that's not the path to happiness.

I work at a a discretionary MNC in Australia and was discussing with female work colleagues how much high net worth clients were spending money to the value of $XXX,XXX (mid to high range), and the women were lamenting that the MNC should have client photos with account information so these customers could be easily identifiable.

It was an unguarded display of unapologetic hypergamy, and of course these women are in committed relationships with men.

Red Pill at its very core is about understanding female hypergamy and adjusting yourself to the dating/hookup scene to attract as many women as possible.

That's literally it. If you listen to podcasts from OG Redpillers like Patrice O Neal for example, that's basically what it boiled down to.

Instead of being disillusioned from the Fairy Tale/Rom Com belief that simply befriending or falling in love with women will win them over, you understand that dating is competitive and men need to improve and adjust themselves physically, financially, or mentally to win in the dating scene.

Over time, Red Pill has become increasingly misrepresented by PUA's, MRA's, MGTOW, the Alt Right, and Incels.

But the core belief system of the Red Pill is universal. Either you believe in the concept of female hypergamy and adjust yourself accordingly in the dating market or you don't believe in the concept and act accordingly.

The RP theories online that have become very bastardized and distorted might mainly be a U.S. phenomenon but Red Pill as a concept is everywhere.

I've traveled alot, and what I've noticed is that women are the same everywhere but there are environments that contain it. The only reason why American culture seems hyper volatile is the conditions, whereas in other countries there are less opportunities for women to fulfill that nature. It doesn't make them different, you'll just see it demonstrated less.

I do encounter some RP behavior/stereotypes here in Malaysia: example women who always, ALWAYS complain about a guy who is already having a girlfriend / wife while there are throngs of single ones out there to choose from. Women marrying for money rather than love and acting like bridezillas when they marry. Women refusing to stay with men during harsh times and only wanting to fuck winners at the finish line.
