why is it every time women try to create a safe space apart from men to get some breathing room from all the testosterone-fueled insanity, men see it as some sort of fuckin' cosplay invitation?

Best part - guaranteed that some of the men focusing efforts pretending to be a woman on FDS have an actual woman in their lives whose time that they are actively neglecting by instead getting sucked into this scene.

Fellas, worry more about the actual women in your lives. If this sub makes you uncomfortable, maybe sit with whether you perpetuated some behaviors that pushed things to the point where THIS landscape is where women feel like they have some level footing. This sub is getting popular because of how men have been treating women broadly. This is what you get. your fear is the realization that you were enjoying a system inappropriately bent in your favor, and victims of that system are now waking up and refusing to participate. that SHOULD feel threatening, because it IS threatening. It's threatening to an abusive manipuative landscape that you have benefitted from while pretending you weren't part of the problem even tho deep down you know to your core you are. we are done giving all as an audition to see if you will give any. we are done taking a chance when we can see you strategize how to lie to tell us we had a chance. we are done listening to men when they tell us that to get anything we want, we have to give you everything you want. historically and consistently men abuse positions of authority to get what THEY want. If you didn't want it "us v them" you shouldn't have fucked around this hard. now you get to find out. Women are sick of your shit.

I don’t understand the logic behind this either. At worse you fail, at best you succeed and then say something stupid and get banned anyway. The fact that these men would rather spend their time and energy trying to infiltrate this community than stick to the communities that already exist for them (aka the rest of Reddit) is laughable.

I know for a fact that men lurk here alllll the time. Every time I’ve commented on dick size or height, I’ve gotten DMs from men. Mostly angry, some really sad ones.

Sometimes I do get comments from men on here but the MODs always removed them before I can read them, lol. The few times I do get their notifications randomly (where you can read the first line of what they wrote out), I'll take note of their username and go into their accounts in order to look up the comment to see what they said...and yea, lol. You can so tell it's either a very angry man or a guy pretending to be a woman.

I never jump to the assumption that it’s a man commenting, I can’t always tell whether it’s a male or just a male-identified pickme woman who hasn’t read the handbook. I definitely report all “off” comments but I think I’ve only definitively used the “this is a man” option once.
