If you exclude the following:

  • arrangements where men pay the women

  • celebrities or similar

  • scenarios where mental health problems are involved

Then you find that there's no realistic way a women who is attractive (lets say 8/10) is dating a guy who is a 5/10 regardless of what he does for work or how much money he makes. For men, being a big time success and being moderately rich (millionaire status) helps you a lot in your own league. You'll definitely find someone and have some options, but only at your own level looks wise.

I think anyone who has been outside, has some friends, has been to a club, scrolled on Instagram has seen who attractive women date. Hint: Their partner is always good looking as well. I'm not quite so far why this gets ignored. People do love to search for outliers and will ignore 50 examples until they find one single outlier that supports their case. Or they look at NFL stars or major influencers or celebrities date and project that onto average men.
