It's a biological thing. I can safely say I speak for MOST (99%+ probably lol) men when I say that when we learn a woman has a high n count, there is a sense of visceral disgust.

Think of it like being handed a toothbrush that 100 other people used. Doesn't matter how many times you rinse it off or how long ago it was, it's fucking gross.

There's not but there's no issue with wanting someone who feels the same way about sex as you do. It's the same reasoning as not dating people who like to party or go to raves and then expecting them to stop doing those things entirely.

So it comes down to jealousy.

You could say the same thing about people who want to be monogamous. "Why won't you let your partner have sex with other people? Are you worried they will be better than you? Jealous! Insecure!"

Of course that's not the only logical reason. I prefer long term relationships. I don't like casual sex - to me, it's less passion and intimacy and just cheap satisfaction with a random person. I don't want to date someone who views sex as cheap fun.

I’m not judging people who enjoy casual relationships, you do you. But for my own long-term partnership, I’ve found I’m most compatible with someone who sees sex as something that grows with emotional commitment.

This isn’t about morality, it’s about shared values. Same reason why the overwhelming majority of women aren't attracted to idea of men paying for sex.

I think it is the same reason some women feel insecure or need to be reassured if they are with someone who does very well with the ladies. It's insecurity. Guys aren't really allowed to be too insecure in relationships - it hurts the attraction their partner has toward them - so it comes out in different ways and in our choices.

I somewhat disagree honestly.

It’s not that you’re completely off on the jealousy part, but there are definitely other subconscious reasons men don’t typically like promiscuity in women. A lot of it is likely evolutionary instinct.

Because before paternity testing, the only way to ensure that the child you’re raising is actually yours would have been to avoid overly-slutty women. So the men that had a slight repulsion to slutty women likely had an evolutionary advantage over the men who didn’t (those men would end up accidentally raising another man’s children and might never actually have their own for example.)

Women don’t have this type of paternal uncertainty (“mother’s baby, father’s maybe” as the old saying goes) so you are a bit more forgiving towards promiscuous men (tho I know that plenty of women don’t want a guy that’s too out of control sexually as well. So there really shouldn’t be any confusion as to why men wouldn’t like that either honestly.)

I do think some weirdo, manosphere types put too much emphasis on shit like that tho. But I don’t think that the disgust towards overly promiscuous women is coming only from a place of jealousy tho.

I'll be honest. I never cared about body counts, but I've learned otherwise. The marital statistics show my odds of staying married are in the toilet.

Lonely people aren't jealous; they're resentful. This is just my opinion. Now that I'm older, I realize just how little I understood back then. I wouldn't have tried. I think the situation sucks for both men and women. Women get plenty of low-quality, zero-connection potato chips, and men are neglected.

Sometimes, I think about Lilly and her adventure. Her true soul showed there. My heart goes out to her, but... I think too many people thought about her before that.

Now I've realized the shear hatred women here display to incels and it gives the high body count woman a bitter taste in my mouth.

And a woman who has done those same things to the men. The knowledge of that is gross to a lot of men. It’s jealousy, envy and insecurity about their performance and the fidelity of women. The same goes for women who dislike men who have had multiple sexual partners. Occasionally it is a sincerely held religious belief or an extreme disgust response to casual sex (and they hold themselves to the same exact standard and have had very few sexual partners).

I don’t ever meet in real life men who ask about this shit. No man has ever asked me this question. I hang out with progressive professionals with advanced degrees though. I steer clear of insecure men or men who engage in any casual bigotry.

I can offer my perspective on the matter. To me when picking a partner I want to filter out women who had casual sex in the past due to ideology. The issue stems from incompatible sexual values. I value sex as a romantic activity exclusively and I want a partner who values that as well. Seperating sex from romance has issues. If sex is not a romantic activity how can someone cheat if they have platonic sex outside monogamous relationship. These are kind of questions people neglect to talk about

There has always been an asymmetrical attitude towards male and female 'promiscuity' and sexual purity, with both genders judging women more harshly for it. There is clearly some biological basis for it. That said, culture and environment play a role. This hardwired attitude does not necessarily equate to all men wanting virgins, etc. Beyond that, there are solid arguments that this hardwired attitude is not entirely groundless.

Well it doesn't work that way. Men or women, everybody cares about bodycount, that's a fact. And we do because it gives us useful intels about a person we consider as a potential life partner, examples:

-"there was a time in my life when I was just fucking around 24/7" People change but they don't change that much. What was driving that sex frenzy and is that thing still there? Did he/she ended up burned out for sex? What is he/she looking for in a long term relationship.

-"I have a high body count because before meeting you, I jumped from one partner to another, but I never manage to make those relationship more than a few weeks" This person may not be able to stay single, or can't works through any slight inconvenience in a relationship or is highly emotional and develops feeling really easily. Either way , those are traits you want to avoid for a long term relationship.

You are right about the fact that there is a comparison element but you are wrong by saying it's only a man thing. Women does it to and everybody want's to be the best partner the person you love ever had, it is natural to do so. You never seen a woman insecure because her boyfriend got that hot ex from a few years back?

Almost everyone is repulsed by high bodycounts. Women seems a little bit more indulgent on it when it is a price to pay to secure a really attractive man.

At the opposite men are more than happy to be with someone with a really low bodycount when women will find it frightening. I suspect that it's because men are expected to "lead" the relationship. "I don't want to be the one teaching him everything " is something you'll hear most of the time from women on that subject.

At the end of the day, we can't deny the fact that an high bodycount doesn't show the same "value" for men and women: You can't be a man with an high bodycount without working hard on it but any women can have an high bodycount in a few weeks. We can see it in the way we insult each other. A man trying to insult a woman will tell her she's a slut or a whore, a woman trying to insult a man will tell him he's a virgin or a incell. It's never the other way around.

Jealousy is a part of it - but dehumanizations and objectification - as well as ownership - play a huge role as well. To say somebody is “used up” implies that a woman’s value is tied to her body count, that she’s less than because others slept with her first. Sure, the “it’s just a metaphor” response I’ll be thrown in, but the metaphors you use say a lot about how you view who or what you’re talking about, plus the term “used up” in itself IS primarily used to describe obsolete objects sooooooo

To be clear, if you’re religious or view sex as personal and don’t shame others over it or you you haven’t used any of the rhetoric above - this is key - none of this applies to you.
