Everybody needs others in some capacity or another. That’s the definition of a society. But from a dating standpoint, nobody should need anyone because then that puts a moral obligation on everyone to be someone’s romantic partner.

Figuring out which gender needs the other more seems like a waste of time. There's no reality where society doesn't need the genders together rather than apart. And everybody needs a functional society. The focus should be on binding the genders in the most fair and mutually beneficial way possible.

Women are also lonely, they’re just able to mitigate it better through hook-ups and being perceived friendly which gives them access to more friends.

No. The thing to realize is all the sayings feminists use apply to men; they’ve adopted those things to try to make themselves feel equal. Strong and independent - independent of what? Men.

Women don’t bring anything to a modern relationship that is irreplaceable other than intimacy, and that is not a necessity, it’s a wonderful luxury when it’s good, and for an average man it’s not often very good.

There was a time when relationships were symbiotic, we needed each other. Not today. It’s easy to keep a home. It’s easy to cook a little with modern appliances and of course buy food or carry out. Any man can live a nice life and if he does not spend money on women, can retire comfortably even with an average income while enjoying toys and hobbies along that way.

I’m divorced for a few years now. It’s shocks me how pleasant and easy my life is solo compared to when I was married. While i occasionally date I haven’t had the desire to try to meet someone serious again because of how much money, time and effort I spent on a woman who could leave at the drop of a hat. I’m not willing to waste my resources on something like that again. I don’t need that exposure in my life ever again.

Not technically, but I think that the problem is that men are very competitive by nature, and when they know that other men are having sex and they are not, they become upset because they feel that they have less value than those men. They can't do what perpetually single women do and just say that all of the women in happy relationships are just pick-me's, because women don't define their self-worth by sexually attracting men, and many of them are perfectly capable these days of earning most of the resources themselves that men used to provide for them in the past (or getting help from the child support system).

I don't "need" my wife in the sense that I was and still would be able to exist and live independently of her. But I really grew accustom to her so if she were to go that would really suck my life wouldn't be the same without her. I think it's the the same the other way around. People have sought companionship since homo sapiens stepped on the scene, but it's also possible to live without it.

The so-called "loneliness epidemic" is a marketing ploy invented by Pickup Artists to sell their stupid books and seminars and for feminists to publish more bogus sciency articles.

Women do in fact need men because without men the modern civilization that removes the fruit of male labor from the men in order for women to reap the benefits of masculine labor and enjoy it - all the while pretending they don't need men to keep the lights on, the streets paved, their cars running, the water flowing and the internet connected - this whole wold of theirs where they "don't need no man" would immediately collapse "without no man."

It is literally men, more specifically masculine labor, ingenuity and continual innovation and problem solving, which is what is holding it all together for women to enjoy and then pretend like pavement just naturally grows out of the ground and sewage systems just kinda carved themselves and electricity, internet, telecommunications is just a natural resource flowing from the sun or something.

We live in a civilization where we are all enjoying the surplus value of men's labor which over the years has only gotten more and more efficient that not even all men need to toil in it.

But women have just gotten so cocky because they are so far removed from the actual labor it takes to run civilization that they see it as some kind of "natural magic" happening in the background that they don't feel any need to concern themselves with until it breaks down and then all of a sudden they need a man to provide rescue, shelter, food, safety, and other bare essentials that they always took for granted.

When women say they don't need no man they really mean is that they can barter their own labor, in the form of a job, in which they can then exchange the remunerations (money) they receive from that job for the fruits of men's collective labor without ever having to meet or even associate with any man. It's no different than buying fruit at the grocery store without ever having to meet the farmer. Women can buy the fruit of men's collective labor without ever having to meet any of the men responsible for producing it. This somehow gives them the illusion that they don't need the seller, producer, distributor of said fruits.

But do men need women?

yes and no.

Yes we need to women in order to not go extinct as a species and no we do not need women to keep this civilization running because men can replace women in the labor market but women cannot replace men.

Yes, but only as a romantic companion and to continue the species. All women could stop working tomorrow (not even as a housewife) and do nothing but live their life & maintain a above replacement rate, nothing would happen. Temporary chaos for a few months but world will adjust.

Women need men for far more than that. If men stop working tomorrow, so much of infrastructure already built will stop working soon. New infrastructure may or may not be created. The internet where they usually scream "Women don't need men" will stop working soon.
