People aren't answering because some see "blaming" women (or given them accountability) rubs them the wrong way as it assumes you want a reason to blame women arbitrarily. This also assumes they accept the possibility of a societal decline and have value systems that see the low marriage rates, sexless men, issues in relationships between the genders and so forth as a problem. If you are an atomized progressive/leftist leaning urbanite in the current year developed world with a self-centered bubble, you (a lot of left leaning BPs) don't because see relationships and sex as a vital achievement for one's life let alone see it as the way to society's continued existence. Hence why they don't see sex and relationships as an obligation to give or receive.

Now, the reason you see blames of a societal decline being heaped on men is based on the lingering affects of men taking the lead and placing an extreme amount of agency on them because traditionally and biologically speaking, they always took care of stuff and it worked before. This is a human issue of mindset that goes beyond gender. Plus, you also have agendas with this blame. Globalist/Centrist careerist women who expected their male counterparts to do the same, right-leaning baby boomers with a gross romantic view of mid-20th century America and who did much to lay the ground work for this, feminists who see this as toxic masculinity and the patriarchy in its most nasty form and even the red pill in he sense of helping these men on the basis that women sure as hell won't solve their problems.

I can go on as to what particularly women done to offset this societal decay and I will in another post.

Dating apps are a major reason why. Women see the sea of options they have for dating and this causes them to be extremely selective. Hypergamy has become a major problem in recent times because of this, leading many men to being lonely and looked over due to looks or lack of an impressive career.

I can't think of any reasons myself. But if I had to borrow the complaints of others...

High standards - aka he better be my looksmatch or slightly above, and/or he has to have a good job

Fine with staying single or celibate if they don't get what they want in a man (so less sex overall)

Having an education or a job - meaning guys have to work harder than her, or just as hard. (Someone needs to provide for the case of children being born when she decides to work part-time or goes on maternity leave)

Can be a single mother with less stigma than in the past. But still holding a lot of stigma

Not wanting to have too many children (tradcon or alt-right complaint)

Basically women are being blamed for having better standards of living and wanting to maintain or develop that standard

Women are the main contributors of this trend. Their standards are blown up by the insane validation they receive through social media and online dating. There is a reason why the recent male sexlessness statistics rose sharply around 2008, at the same time when smartphones began to conquer the world. There is also a reason why female complaints about sex/relationships literally only revolve around men not being good enough or men not committing.

Feminism contributes too. Not only culturally by denigrating men and ignoring/celebrating women to be slutty and bitchy, but also by actively hampering men's educational and career endeavors while boosting women's artificially.

Porn and video games, people's favorite scapegoat for this trend, are coping mechanisms and not the cause. Besides, I'd argue that men engaging in conscious self-improvement efforts is at an all-time high. However, accusing men of being lazy manchildren is so much simpler and fits a gynocentric worldview too well.

Anyway, good luck getting mainstream society to ever hold women accountable for negative things, especially when it comes to sexuality and romance. I mean, just look at the single motherhood issue. Does anybody ever tell women not to fuck deadbeat thugs? Or to not ignore the man's consent to children? No, society blames single motherhood on men entirely.

I'll take my case as an example.

I grew up in a feminist familly, which is like this because most men in this familly have failed one way or the other, while some women (my mother and my grand mother) have been the back bone of it. And I thank them for that.

However they are not capable of properly raising men because their education will be tinted by their female perspective. For example, being capable of seducing as a man is seen as bad, a boy should be nice to others above all else etc.

While they have done their best it's not enough. If I wasn't genetically gifted I would be an incel.

In my opinion, while feminism is good thing for women because of how it used to be 50 - 100 years ago, it's inherently unable to see the bigger picture. I blame feminism for using manipulative pitches like "feminism is good for men" or "feminism is about equality" when it all comes down to helping women. We men need some kind of "masculinism" which isn't either a mysogynist cult or a female focused cult like r/menslib is.

Women definitely contributed with their feminist rhetoric. It went from women saying they wanted to vote and get equal pay to all of a sudden "men are the problem" and "the future is female". I don't know when it happened but it traces its roots to the 1970's during the sex revolution. In my personal take, women believed pursuing casual sex would bring them happiness which it did but it was short term and then they became angry with men when no one would commit to them. This has also caused women to reject traditional customs and having children to pursue usually some sort of career that actually makes them very unhappy. It's also made them as superficial when it comes to men as men are with women.

Just in general, they are 51% of the population and they control most of the spending. Having that many votes and that much economic power makes women at least partially responsible for everything in our society.

Western women are not holding themselves accountable or their daughters accountable, are becoming horrible role models for the younger women in their family and community, and are nowhere near as talented, hardworking or just plain as the strong as the women that came before them.

If the western countries were to go to war, I just can't see modern western women working in factories like Rosie the Riveter, contributing and sacrificing like the women before them.

As a serious, non bait answer I follow some social media groups involving romance and I see a LOT of young women who like dudes but don't approach or give signals then get shocked when nothing happens or he finds another woman who does. I also see a few women who had like one or two bad experiences or some commitment issues and either drop out of the game or want a scenario so unrealistic it doesn't even show up in most bad romance novels.

There's this weird expectation Mr. Right will do all the work after magically appearing out of the blue knowing exactly what to say within seconds. Unsurprisingly a lot of these women wind up single and alone and don't get much sympathy for it.

This is how I see it:

(Warning long comment from a terrible writer’s stream of consciousness incoming)

Men have been taught since they were young (at least I was) that men are sexually aggressive predators, who rape and assault women.

Thus I believed that women on a base level fear men.

To adjust for this fear women have of me, I acted the only way I knew how. Nicely. I didn’t do it to manipulate women into sex, I didn’t do it cuz I thought it would work. I did it because I thought women would be scared of me if I acted the wrong way. I thought girls would be relived to meet a guy who wasn’t an axe murdering rapist. I felt They would misinterpret my intentions and become fearful of me. This is something I wanted to avoid at all costs. I had a horrible childhood and I grew up with a need to never subject anyone to the kind of pain fear or otherwise that I felt growing up. (As I improved myself this was a big struggle, because women did seem fearful of me when I finally tried talking to girls. They always looked so scared. Now I know that girls get very nervous and get anxiety because they feel the same way I always did, unsure and scared to look like a fool or look bad. Also, turns out I’m a cute guy so I often make girls nervous and that really made me believe for a couple of years that I looked like an axe murderer and it really fucked up my head!)

Also I grew up friendless and alone due to the way I was raised. I see now none of it was my own fault but it felt like I was just born a piece of shit, not that my mom did horrible things to us lol.

So being a social outcast, combined with my fear of scaring women, turned me into a creep.

If you ask me, creepiness is by definition: not aligning with accepted social protocol.

That means, when you flirt with a woman, there’s a certain way you must flirt. If you deviate from that, you become creepy. Since I never learned the right way to flirt due to being a social outcast and being fearful of scaring women, I never learned.

Oh, also, I believed that not only was I a potential rapist and axe murderer, but also my sexuality was inherently offensive to women. That if I did flirt, I was aggressively forcing my unwanted sexuality into women.

All these things combined totally and utterly removed my ability to interact with women.

Let’s look at me today:

I look into a girls eyes, I smile, she smiles back. I say literally anything that comes to mind “pink banana pandas!” I yell with a fist raised in the air. I look at her with a smile. This girl who has no idea who the fuck I am instantly loves me. She doesn’t know why. I shake her hand and introduce myself to her. I’m still awkward as fuck, and I still struggle greatly with expressing myself sexually. But oh boy I have improved a ton! And it’s night and day. It’s like I was blind and now I can see.

But flirting is nothing. Flirting is expressing your sexuality. Flirting is part of normal human nature and the ability to flirt is very important for us men if you ask me. And women LOVE to be flirted with. All this feminism shit about how horrible men are to women is bullshit. You can flirt with anyone, anywhere, any time, and if you do it the right way it is always received well. It’s not just my experience but my observation as well. We like to think of flirting as aggressively acosting a woman for her phone number. If you think that’s what flirting is I suppose you didn’t read enough red pill? I didn’t either tbh but I’ve read enough I suppose.

The problem is that more and more boys and men are becoming disconnected with their sexual nature. We are being taught we are monsters for our sexuality. Our sexuality is evil, we only want to fuck 1000 women, we want to use you for your pussy, we don’t care about you, just pussy. If we can’t get pussy, we will rape you to get our most dire need met.

It’s no wonder so many guys are having trouble with women. Hell, it seems to me like the majority of men cannot flirt. Even men who do okay with women can’t flirt. It just happens those men aren’t so damaged from their lives that they become instant creeps with their fear and social inability.

This growing group of guys who are not having sex is due to all of these things and more. Economic troubles, fatherless homes, shit like that.

Women are attracted to leaders, fundamentally. And leaders are not born, they are created. If you ask me, feminism is making sure to teach boys how to the opposite direction from leader. We are teaching boys that they are monsters and this removes their ability to interact with the opposite sex in a healthy way.

Which is why I can’t stand when people hate on incels. Incels are very beaten down and disturbed people. They don’t understand anything, and they can’t. They literally cannot. All they know is women hate them and they can’t figure out why. It’s simple, TRP will teach you that. But outside of TRP there’s no path for a guy who is hopelessly outside the normal spectrum to rejoin the majority and become someone who can interact healthily with women.

I’m lucky. I’m cute. I’m handsome and tall and athletic. Girls have always liked me, even though I did not believe it for most of my life. That’s how deeply my life made me believe I was worthless. Girls actually used to throw themselves at me and I rejected them all out of sheer terror.

Once a girl grabbed my hand at a club, and tried to pull me onto the dance floor. I literally ripped my hand out of hers and ran away. I was like 22 and shit scared terrified to interact with a girl or else reveal to her I was a total social retard. So even though I did have girls trying to get me, it didn’t even matter cuz my life fucked me up so bad I just couldn’t understand wtf was going on. I have a million similar stories, yet I still believed I was hideous. I still believed girls hated me and feared me even though I had plenty of evidence to the contrary.

So what’s it like for someone whose average or below with their own unique problems? Incels got it bad, those guys are fucked. And we make sure to make it worse by spreading the idea that incels are inherently bad people. They aren’t, they are regular boys like the rest of us who have been forced down a horrible self destructive path and nobody wants to have any sympathy cuz people are too stupid to see anything outside their own reality.

And we help to further create incels with this mentality. When a guy who is confused about the dating world and sex and sexuality and flirting, he tries to understand by making comparisons. “Okay, well, I’m a good person, girls say they like a guy who is a good person. So why is it that so many girls would rather date a low life drug dealer than a genuinely good person like me?” This guy asks online, boom, he’s flooded with messages about how he’s an incel and an evil alt righter and how he thinks he deserves sex for being nice and blah blah blah. We beat these people down, we make sure they never become normal functioning and happy people. The punishment for not learning social skills at a young age is condemnation and further social ostracism.

These incels then gather the only places they can and they start to live inside of a bubble where nobody knows wtf they are talking about.

Being a social outcast is like being blind. As I finally began understanding how to talk to people and have eye contact and be confident in myself and all this other stuff, I realized that I was basically disabled. Like literally it’s like having a mental disability to not have social skills. That’s my perspective as someone who didn’t used to have them. I used to think everything was this crazy mechanical thing where you have to stand a certain way and act exactly within X parameters or you get rejected and I couldn’t understand wtf was going on with anything. It was horrible and my life was hell because of it. And I think people don’t understand that. They don’t see that social outcasts are like, totally fucked lol.

So the growing group of males who don’t have sex will continue to grow. All of us will continue to help facilitate their growth by rejecting them and telling them they are bad people for trying to understand why they are outcasts.

How big will it get? What percentage of men has to not be having sex before people start to care? I think violence is the natural result. Mental illness and violence. It’s the only logical result of a large percentage of the male population basically becoming castrated and taught they are monsters for wishing to have their penis back.

Its the decline of the nuclear family , plain and simple. A father figure undenaibly makes for a better human, and a better human makes for a succesful society. Without the nuclear family, society begins to fall apart. In other words, the modernity of this society with our phones, airplanes, and economies is an impossibility for a predominantly single motherhood/non-nuclear family society. Kids need fathers, just look at the poorer areas and crime ridden areas and find the common denominator.

Imo it’s no ones fault really, it’s the end result of technology rendering men useless to women in a direct sense. (Obviously mostly men invent and manage this tech).

Think about it from women’s perspective: being on birth control sucks, pregnancy and childbirth suck extremely bad, and in general sacrificing your own personal incentives to make an LTR or marriage work sucks. This is only worth it if the guy is providing in a way you can’t for yourself, or if he’s very very attractive. Reason one is out the door, now only reason two is left.
