I think it is tricky. Women don't owe your their bodies, but they do have more power than most men do in the situation. If a man feels that more and more is being demanded of him and he's getting less and less out of it, I think they are justified in going their own way, because we don't necessarily owe women what they think the price for their bodies are worth either.

Women attack sex robots because they are the competition. Easy access to high quality sex robots decreases a man's incentive to invest (emotionally, financially, timewise) in a real woman.

Also women feel they are entitled to men's resources whether those men want to give them up or not. Divorce court, alimony, child support, welfare, etc. Those are all ways to obtain a man's resources by force. Men want sex, women want resources. Under the current system a woman can take a man's resources by force using the state, a man cannot take sex from a woman by force. Ideally neither should be legal.

Women can make whatever demands they want. It does not mean men have to pay it. In the reverse situation, if women were to outnumber men, then men may make whatever demands they want and the woman can choose to pay it.

This is demonstrated in the microcosm of college campuses with uneven gender ratios.

Nobody likes having romantic or sexual difficulties and everybody gets that it leads to frustration but ultimately that's your own problem. Sex and relationship have to have the consent of both parties. Inability to acquire the consent of a person of your choice can't be solved by anyone and is your sole responsibility.

If the response to all that is to "go your own way"... than go ahead. Nobody's stopping you. Nobody will care. Hell, ideally nobody will even know. If you truly go your own way and eschew any relationships with women how the hell is the rest of the world supposed to know or care about it. Plenty of people, men and women, gay and straight, have probably already made that decision. They'll care as much about you making it as you do about them.

Hoping people will care is a lost cause. It's childishly living out of spite, trying to spite someone (women) that doesn't even give a shit in the first place. MGTOWs make such a big deal out of it because deep down they know they were really sent on their way out.

Sure. Going your own way is a respectable option. If you decide to do that then it isn't anybody's business if you do. I mean of course if you're going to start "going your own way" while still in a relationship you run into all the usual legal, social and ethical issues with regards to ending relationships but once you've worked through that you're in the clear except for any child support obligations... and even those eventually age out.

Nobody is trying to keep you in the market if you don't want to be. If you don't want to be on the market you shouldn't be on the market.

The wording of the title weirds me out. Women don't owe men their bodies -> Are men justified in going their own way? That line implies that going MGTOW somehow harms women or implies that they are entitled to men.

I've been perusing some youtube channels like Sandman, Turd Flinging Monkey and Angry MGTOW and from my perspective I can get why a guy would go MGTOW, but the reasons I get from those channels and their attitudes towards women is misogynistic as fuck. MGTOW as an idea isn't misogynistic, its just opting out of cultural expectations of permanent pair bonding and relationships, something that has existed with liberal hook-up culture already, but that doesn't mean that MGTOWs can't be misogynistic in their reasoning for being MGTOW.

I'm sort of MGTOW right now, have been for the past year since getting out of a relationship. If I get the urge, I go and pay for it.

I still passively try so maybe I'm not a MGTOW. I have a lower tier (pay wise) and unglamorous job, am a couple inches below average in height, not bad looking but nothing that great either. Am in pretty good shape and am pretty confident, but just can't find women I want to be around and vice versa, since around me they're all elitist hipster types with a completely different worldview than me.

I'm very burned and bummed out about women. It really is like they're aliens to me at this point in my life. The women I meet strike me as banal, shallow, boring. I just want to have sex with them but I don't have any gimmicks to get the one-night stands consistently, although I'm working on cultivating those. Right now I'm going with the flow, planning to leave the country and go elsewhere at some point in the near future (I'm saving money).

The main issue I'm having is loneliness.

My closest friends are all getting engaged or married, and so that leaves me (I'm late 20's). I used to fill the void years ago when I was going through another dry spell by doing things that gave me a thrill. Risk-taking, drinking, fighting, all these things were chicken soup for my soul.

Now I don't have my droogs, see them once a month and they are expecting kids or have curfews from their wives so they're not fun to be around anymore. Were it not for that I wouldn't mind.
