I have taken a man to court for much worse than that and was met with a load of "Why are you taking this so seriously, how was he to know you didn't want it" etc. I hate to sound like a prude, but this is what you get when the supposed sexual revolution devalues sex. People don't take it as seriously and it is not considered a big deal when men treat women like sex toys.

A couple years ago this guy that I’d just met that night thought it would be funny to pick me up at the top of the stairs, before I could react he quickly dropped me down the stairs. Fucked up my back/neck for a month. It could have been a lot worse. I’m still angry about it. Ruined one of my last vacations before covid, because I was in so much pain.

The guy was trying to lift her over his shoulder, haha she showed him good you don't just go and lift or touch women without consent. Well, the intention doesn't matter - if he did this to another man, there would be at least a 50/50 chance the man would punch him. This is why they rarely do random "nicely intended" harassing actions towards men. When women start reacting like this, also to actions that women unfortunately KNOW are "probably meant in a nice way", it creates the reputation that if you disrespect a woman, even if the intention is good, you might get punched. This is the most efficient way of forcing empathy in people and is the exact reason why "just be polite to men" is one of many effective scams women are forced to face.

Keep listening to your gut! If it tells you to do something, it's probably right!

This is why you shouldn't try to be stick thin (and as someone who it's hard to put on weight for, one of the reasons I don't like being so lean).

Having strength behind you, part of which is inevitably tied to being a healthy weight, makes it easier to defend yourself. Also one of the main reasons patriachchial standards tell women that stick thin is sExY - so it's harder for us to defend ourselves.
