There is often a misguided attempt to understand that people who go through hardship during their childhood will often be stronger than the ones who don't. Still, the simplicity of the matter is that childhood is such an integral part of an adult that without it, a formation of an inner child will seep its' way into adulthood. This is seen through how they handle arguments or problems, their relationships, and their integrity as individuals.

Most cheaters and dysfunctional people grew up from broken or dysfunctional homes, the absence of a proper parental figure to teach them right and wrong, the absence of a good example of healthy relationships starts at home, and mixing this with infidelity just adds more fuel to the forest fire. There are some staunch differences that you will see in this with men and women as the impacts of this vary from one gender to another. Males tend to be in touch with their emotional side, substance problems, and abusive behavior are common dysfunctions. Women on the other hand have a strong likeness to be addicted to male attention especially when no father is present, highly emotional, and will enter multiple provocative relationships.

It is also important to understand what constitutes these types of families, it could range from spoiled brats who did not get enough pats as a kid or kids with absentee parental figures or abusive ones.
