Why is "what do i get out of this relationship?" such a taboo and difficult question for women to answer with a response that actually makes sense?

When its brought up just in a harmless context in an open setting men do not get insulted they (hopefully) rise to the occasion and can answer it with facts and evidence of things that they bring to the table.

When the options are flipped and women are asked to prove how its reciprocated men are always met with shaming language, insults, and attempts at disparaging someone's reputation.

This is not to say that all men do their part or that men don't get insulted, I'm simply bringing up the hypocrisy of why we can't raise this question going both ways without encountering so much friction.
