Prostitution won’t work (change my mind)

Everyone keeps mentioning how prostitution will recalibrate all the gender indifferences between men and women. Or how it will make men less desperate. Or how it will give men the incentive to be productive in society and cleanse depression and lack of ambition.

What you are really describing is a world without women.

Let me explain. We all agree man’s greatest motivation is to be able to have sex with the hottest/most attractive women. That is the basis of most of all male achievement and ambition.

The exception to this are religious people/religions and homosexuals/aesexuals/eunuchs and psychopaths/sociopaths/power hungry individuals

Now why do I say prostitution won’t work?

Instead of thinking small scale. Let’s think large scale.

If we agree that women in most male minds are either reduced to sex and love. If we allow that men who are searching for love are not that motivated to take the risks and ambition to conquer that males sexually motivated for it (for the sake of this argument allow it). If we allow that most males are sexually motivated than love motivated (allow it). In terms of taking risks/working/self improvement (ect.)

Then if prostitution was legal and rampant. You have effectively created a world without women. There would be no need for women in most male minds. Especially with technology replacing household work and farming/food production (ect)

Most men are friends with women for sex. Respect women for sex. Dress nice/workout for sex. Get jobs for sex. Are nice to women for sex. (Ect ect ect.)

Without this incentive I fear most men will degrade. But idrc about that. But it is worth considering societally.

This will affect huge industries. For example gifts will decline drastically. Dates. Going to the movies. Ect ect (assuming prostitution has become the sexual replacement that you think it will be)

Now prostitutes are somebodies daughter. Which means you are effectively asking families to raise prostitutes.

Prostitutes are not desired for marriage or children by most men. So these women will be single/independent and/or childless.

Men are going to only want the attractive women to be prostitutes. So if the pretty/attractive women are becoming prostitutes. And also not having children/married family. That means only the unattractive women will be having children/family. Which means there will be less attractive women every generation in this society. Which really defeats the purpose of prostitution that men are promoting. That’s one reason it won’t work

Also women are only sexually attractive for a certain period of time. So what happens to them? Where do they go?

Because men are desperate for sex. A man will be with an older women. An unattractive women. A woman that wants him that he has no attraction to. With mans needs fufilled. These women will not be wanted at all. The societal implications of this are massive.

What about family. Women are humans. Men are humans. Humans are made through sex. Family is the most successful unit for raising children. If prostitution was rampant. Why would men have children. Why would men stay and raise there kids in the family unit of the same household. If man’s greatest motivation is sex and having sex readily available. There is literally no need for commitment to one woman.

This is all assuming that prostitution is legal and deeply entrenched into this hypothetical society.

Any argument for prostitution being a small percentage does not count. You can use that argument for anything. Drugs/trash/disease. Whatever it is. In small dosages most things are sustainable.

I just don’t think anybody is thinking about the societal implications of this and how this will affect future generations.

People who want prostitution legal and rampant are only thinking of themselves and not thinking of the micro and macro of implementing such a system.
