Sometimes I forget what the rest of this platform is like. Does not take long to come across this kind of content, in droves.

Just disgusting. Complaining about the quality of women in-app then bragging about getting matches.

Then why men constantly lie about their age on Tinder and other dating sites? I’ve matched with men who told me that they are actually older than they’ve put on their profiles. 🤡🤡🤡

[–]GiraffeLibrarianFDS Newbie 249 points250 points251 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

If they admit to it in their bio (i.e. their age says 30) “I’m actually 37,” REPORT IT. We can only hope if enough of us did that, that it would get through to the app moderators. I’ve since deleted, but save screenshots of some of the particularly pathetic ones to laugh at every now and then.

And you see how smart that is? People often set their age range preference at round numbers. That means as a man over 40, he still goes through young women's filters, who have their preferences set on "until 40".

So yeah, keep reporting such catfishes. And set you preferences on unusual nubers like 24, 27, 38, 43.

[–]GreatOrchidAmbitionFDS Newbie 21 points22 points23 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

it genuinely makes me sad that we have to protect ourselves by overthinking so many things.

Men lie about EVERYTHING on OLD sites, and age is the least of it.

The main thing that they lie about is being "open to a relationship," when in reality they are looking for a convenient source of regular sex -- preferably from as many women as possible.

If you persist, despite repeated warnings from the users of this forum, to use these OLD sites, expect to spend a lot of time and frustration trying to find a man who actually wants a relationship. They want easy sex, and now that Craigslist no longer has personals, guess where they went? Yup, OLD sites.

Oh, sis. Sorry. But this is what you get on OLD sites... The losers, the bottom of the barrel. You don't have to do this to yourself.

Get out of the house and meet people.

[–][deleted] 44 points45 points46 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Easy sex and emotional labor. Most men are looking for a free therapist. I'm astonished at the sob stories they've fed me within minutes of meeting.

I read a good comment the other day about a woman who's on a date with a man who's beaming because he thinks it went well while she's waiting to take a silkwood shower and zig-zagging back to her house.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And it’s so convenient how men who “don’t know how to work the app and can’t change it” always conveniently age themselves younger so they make it past the filtered ages of younger women. They never seem to “accidentally” make themselves older 🙄🙄🙄

[–]delawenFDS Newbie 54 points55 points56 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

“don’t know how to work the app and can’t change it”

Who would want to date someone as useless as that?

Me (whispering) - “it’s because you’re oooold” 😂

(Nothing against anyone over a certain age, but im pretty sure no woman on this sub is pretending to be ten years younger to trap vulnerable dates and making excuses)

Men are secretly terrified of aging and get more paranoid about being seen as desirable. Women? They relax into age and have a blast cuz they've cultivated a rich life along the way

[–]SaitschikFDS Disciple 15 points16 points17 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I matched with a guy who did that and when I called him out he said, yeah sorry but I feel young and like Peter Pan, lol.

Men are very afraid of aging, too. Sometimes more than women.

[–]PurpyPopsFDS Newbie 284 points285 points286 points 5 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Speak for yourself buddy. I'm better now, in every way, than I ever was in my younger years.

Also I'm yet to see a man physically improve with age. I love seeing the bald, fat, scruffy men (who used to be the boys who bullied me in high school for being frigid and "fat") do a double take when they see me at the supermarket. Some have even tried to hit me up on social media for a date.

Suck it losers.

[–]_moonessFDS Newbie 131 points132 points133 points 5 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Same. I look better at 29 than I did at 19, and I know I’m going to look even better in my 30’s. I see guys my own age already starting to bald and grow love handles....so idk what this scrote is talking about but I’m willing to bet he doesn’t even have that much money 😹

[–]penelopekittyFDS STRATEGY COACH 90 points91 points92 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

And besides getting better looking with age we have our own money now too. I've out-earned the vast majority of men I've dated as well as my ex-husband. Dudes are grasping at straws these days.

[–]WeremaidFDS Newbie 47 points48 points49 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And this is why we have to focus on leveling financially and educationally. Our mothers and grandmothers fought to the death for our right to own our own bank accounts, and to be treated as equals in the workplace and to vote for politicians who fight for our rights as well. These are our most precious weapons against the patriarchy. We may never be as big or strong or carefree as them, but we can hold our own now, and we should.

[–]berryberrykicksFDS Apprentice 86 points87 points88 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Teenage me? Pretty and pretty awkward. 26? Absolute knockout.

What you mean I can’t get prettier year after year? I done did it already.

And why do men assume all women don’t have money? It’s becoming the norm. We’re not backing down on that front. It’s how we escape this awful human beings known as men.

[–]_moonessFDS Newbie 48 points49 points50 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

My mom who was widowed in early 50s (my stepdad) told me she had her pick of men. Most were in debt, still had kids at home, and had serious issues. She was financially secure(through disciplined savings over many years) owned her home, and of course, me (great job, living away, no drama).

She had to fight them off with a stick. The guy she finally picked was someone who brought her a rose on every date, and 20 years later still does all the cooking, is handy around the house and treats her like a queen. I like him a lot.

[–]rosecolored_glassesFDS Newbie 17 points18 points19 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I love everything about this thread. If they provide absolutely nothing else at least these men provide some comedy. I can confidently say that, as long as we take care of ourselves, women age wonderfully. I hardly see men taking care of themselves the way we do, and then they look like wrinkly, balding gremlins by the age of 33.

[–]FDS-GFYFDS Newbie 10 points11 points12 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It’s crazy. Even this guy, as much as I like him is aging very badly. They don’t take care of themselves.

But then half of them have the audacity to tell women that we hit a wall as if their hairlines don’t look like someone took an old lawn mower to them. The. Absolute. Audacity.

[–]purasangriaFDS Disciple 59 points60 points61 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So much this!

I make more than all but the highest-earning men, so that is not a factor for me. And I don't date ugly men. I'm content, in my 50s, to be single for the rest of my life rather than being chained to an ugly man. I don't care how much money he has.

Hire a maid and buy a sex doll. Min/maxxing your "sexual market value" is not why people should get into long-term monogamous relationships.

[–][deleted] 76 points77 points78 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

The trade he’s looking for is money-looks. He’s not looking for a relationship, he’s looking to be a sugar daddy.

[–]localgirlcultFDS Apprentice 38 points39 points40 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Even that is doubtful. To actually be that he'd have to be generous with money and gifts and I don't think this freak would be. It's questionable if he even has money. He's not looking for or getting anything. He's just angry on the internet.

What is it with men who write “no drama!!1!” In their dating profiles? Am I missing some reference?

[–]nothing998FDS Newbie 164 points165 points166 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They want you to offer your vagina to them without having to do the bare-minimum emotional labor of maintaining an actual relationship

[–]BasieSkanks81 points 5 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

It’s a huge tell that means drama always follows them in their relationships, and it’s likely of their own making. People who are genuinely drama-free don’t need to announce they don’t like drama.

[–]relationship_redditFDS Newbie 18 points19 points20 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yep. The most dramatic people I've known are the ones who constantly talk about how much they hate drama and complain about how everyone around them is dramatic.

I've had 10 years of 2 horrid abusive partners - one a very very violent man, and the other a cheating narcissist.

I always say I hate drama, and now I have none - I have 2 friends, my dog, and my crochet. I've had enough drama to last me the rest of my life.

"No drama" = Sex, silence and servitude.

Having a bad day? he doesn't want to hear it. Angry or upset about something? call the priest because he doesn't want to hear it. Your default emotions are supposed to be happy/excited/bubbly and nothing else. You cook, clean everything and do "50/50(90/10)" with a smile.

Also in my unfortunate experience, men who say this usually create so much drama on their own and then victimize themselves when confronted or caught.

[–]purasangriaFDS Disciple 32 points33 points34 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No, but I note that the men over 30 are FULL of drama, almost always at their own hands.

Example: Has 3 kids and a high-conflict relationship with his exwife, but also has a baby mamma from when he got a woman pregnant while he was recently divorced, fucking anything that would move, and without a condom.

[–]deudeoFDS Newbie 32 points33 points34 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’m guessing it’s not wanting to be confronted with being an adult and being honest about commitment and just categorizing all women as vapid drama queens.

They’re the ones who try to tell women our only value is our looks, so pick mes with low self esteem focus primarily on that.

And THEN they say “well what do you expect when your only value is your looks? It’s your fault I just wanna use you for sex”.

Fuck these scum bags

[–]purasangriaFDS Disciple 63 points64 points65 points 5 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

I've read this; it's a guy arguing why, as he ages, he gets more desireable, because money, and we get less desirable, because looks.

I look better now than I did at 20, and still have men hitting me up because I look great. Men cannot tell that I'm like 20 years older than they are, because WE LOOK THE SAME AGE. Let that one sink in. I've spent all my life taking great care of myself, for ME, not for "catching a man."

I predict that there will be a lot of men like this: Older, and wants in his 50s to settle down with a "10" but unable to find one because when a woman wants to choose a mate, she wants someone younger, and she doesn't care about your money, because she has her own.

For the ones that don't have looks or money -- aka the 90% of men -- they'll be totally shut out of the marriage market unless they settled down with their looksmatch in their 20s. They think they have the upper hand, but this is not going to end well for the men of the next couple of generations.

[–]penelopekittyFDS STRATEGY COACH 38 points39 points40 points 5 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link

Years ago, before FDS I had an on again off again thing with a guy 17 years my junior. It lasted for five years. When it began I was 45 and he was 27. We met when he took a fitness class I was teaching. He kept coming back to my class and messaging me on FB about various things. He was GORGEOUS, extremely tall 6'7" and built like an NBA player. We would often go out and nobody ever perceived me as being older than him. In fact friends and strangers would often remark that we made a striking couple and were surprised when they learned our age difference. The only reason it ever came up was when friends asked me if we were serious. I would tell them no we weren't, primarily because of the age difference (but there were other reasons as well.)

It's 100% true that women are the ones who can continue to date younger for as long as we like. Men will still find us desirable. When young women date older men nine times out of ten it is for their money.

[–]carlther22 points 5 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

We live longer anyway, we should be dating 5 to 10 years our junior at least if our goal is to get the maximum amount of time with our partner. Young women who seek older men have it backwards, they will just end up wiping the back sides of some crippled old man in their prime years.

[–]penelopekittyFDS STRATEGY COACH 16 points17 points18 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Very true. I have a few girlfriends dealing with that very thing right now. They are approximately 15 years younger than their husbands and the men's health is starting to fail in serious ways. They are miserable.

[–]AocwannabeFDS Newbie 15 points16 points17 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

YES! Add to it that most men refuse to go to the doctor or practice preventative care. Their testosterone also drops dramatically in their late 40s.

[–]purasangriaFDS Disciple 13 points14 points15 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Just curious, what was his reaction when you told him how old you were?

When I tell them, I get shocked pikachu face.

[–]penelopekittyFDS STRATEGY COACH 20 points21 points22 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

He acted surprised. I'm not going to say I look young for my age. However, I am very fit yet curvy at the same time and have always taken good care of my skin, so very few wrinkles. I also try to stay current yet classic with fashion and wear things that flatter my figure rather than follow trends or get stuck in the past. I try to be the best I can at whatever age I am, not try to look younger.

[–]CatusCactusFDS Newbie 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Do you have any tips you can share?

[–]penelopekittyFDS STRATEGY COACH 16 points17 points18 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

It's very basic. Maintain a healthy weight. Exercise consistently, include moderate cardio and weight training. Eat a healthy diet for you - avoid sugar and too much alcohol. Care for your skin by avoiding too much sun, but be more concerned with what you put in your body rather than on it, meaning beauty through health will always be more attractive than beauty through artifice (make-up and other cosmetics.) Learn what styles flatter your figure type. For example the high waisted crop top trend looks terrible on most figures yet almost all young women are wearing that right now. Buy fewer good quality clothes that fit you well rather than having a lot of cheaply made things.

I like to reflect on the fact science says it’s aging sperm (35+) leads to premature births and birth defects/learning disabilities -not aging eggs. And aging sperm are more likely to cause the woman serious health issues in childbirth like pre eclampsia.

He's confidently incorrect! For his opinion on a woman's worth, for his belief that women should care about his opinion, and for his use of exponential depreciation. He's intending to say that the graph of a woman's worth is a curve that looks approximately like this: ¯|, so the value goes down slowly at first and quickly after that. But exponential depreciation actually looks like |_; it goes down quickly at first and slowly afterwards. Think of a new car, which loses value quickly in the first year, also quickly in the second and third years, and once it's twenty years old, it doesn't really lose value anymore because it'll always at least be worth the value of the scrap metal.

Exponential depreciation is f(x)=ax^b with 0<x<1. What he's trying to say would require the function 1-g(x)=1-ax\^b with x>1, g(x) being the function of exponential appreciation.

(Any queens who are good at math who can verify this?)

Reducing any human being to an asset is disgusting. BTW my income increases from year to year too, so what’s his point?

[–][deleted] 70 points71 points72 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So true! My mom now makes 7x what she used to earn when she was in her 20s. Women don’t need men anymore to survive in the society and that makes them so mad.

His point is projection. Men age just as much as women do.

He's assuming that we value his money more than anything else.

In other words, he's assuming the wrong question, and so he's getting the wrong answer.

Our question is "what do you add to my life?" not "how much money do you have?"

[–]ShieldMaidenLagerthaFDS Disciple 14 points15 points16 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. I was just thinking to myself that they never stop to evaluate how they can develop themselves, be a blessing to the their friends and family, work on their appearance or just generally grow as a human. It’s always this strange commodity based thought process.

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points15 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

He's also assuming we don't have our own money.

[–]purasangriaFDS Disciple 10 points11 points12 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And assuming HE has more money. Statistically speaking, it's highly unlikely that any man I meet will outearn me.

[–]needsmoresilkFDS Newbie 21 points22 points23 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Right? Let’s take his statement as fact. If he brings income to the table, the fact that I have an increasing income a priori means I don’t need to meet him at that table. And let’s be clear, he’s chasing what he considers to be a depreciating asset with small supply - beauty with no income (youth, really). Which is a stupid strategy.

So his own logic screws him - as women can gain self sufficiency (their own incomes) but men cannot (scrotes need women for that statement to be true).

The thing is, beauty doesn't fade. That's what we've been led to believe, because y'know, rampant misogyny. The reality is, if you take care of yourself and build up your confidence, you will look incredible in your 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s...and so on, because there's just something about confidence that makes people beautiful. I'm in my 30s and so much more comfortable and confident in my own skin than I was at 18. The scrotes I knew in high school/university who were deemed to be "hot" all look like shit now, and barely into their 30s. So sad!

I, too, will have money that increases.

Both our looks will fade, likely yours moreso than mine, as you can see from older men and women compared side by side.

You’ll be far more desperate for a partner when you’re older than I will be- you’ll allow yourself to be used for your money and drain it on someone who will eventually leave you for someone actually attractive and kind- allowing me to be more selective, spending my money on those who will appreciate it.

Plus, having terrible character negates your financial value. Only the worst of people can be in relationships with insufferable wealthy old men. So that’s what you’ll attract. I’ll still have good character.

I Win!

This is the way

[–]applemartinFDS Newbie 63 points64 points65 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

So the obvious solution is to make a lot of money yourself and only go out with younger men for their looks. It's not that hard to make money either, especially if you don't have an entitled parasite to take care of at home.

There is an epidemic of non-working men: https://www.milkenreview.org/articles/the-male-non-working-class.

Speaking as someone who earns a six figure income in tech and regularly rubs elbows with people who make millions, the vast majority of men who earn above average incomes are married: https://www.stlouisfed.org/publications/regional-economist/april-2002/for-love-or-money-why-married-men-make-more

I bet the man who posted the above comment is not actually all that professionally successful. In fact, I bet he's bitter about it and is trying to 'get revenge' by posturing and pretending on the Internet because in the real world, he's a plain nobody.

[–]Geocities_SEO_ExpertFDS STRATEGY COACH 34 points35 points36 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was unprepared for how bleak the numbers in that article were. No wonder dating is such a mess, 1 out of every 5 men is trying to claim some kind of "disability", and more than 1 in 10 aren't working, period. If they could get Uncle Sam to rubber stamp their "back pain" or "adult onset autism" diagnosis, 20% of American men would happily never work again.

And of course all those men still expect a free bangmaid.

[–][deleted] 30 points31 points32 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I had a scrote attempt to "insult" me by saying I look 14. I'm 32.

[–]EclecticBarbarellaFDS Disciple 29 points30 points31 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

The ones with money have an equally hard time finding someone (sometimes harder because they have a gross attitude about it). Sure there’s some women who will date a man just for money but it’s not all like they always seem to think (and some dudes are insufferable all the money in the world couldn’t make up for it). Some loser on a dating sub here was talking about how women were all gold diggers because he had money and the ladies response was “and yet you are still single, your post history is nothing but you complaining about being ghosted constantly.” 😂

[–]purasangriaFDS Disciple 20 points21 points22 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

All the shitty dudes with money complain about how women are after their money because THAT IS LITERALLY ALL THEY HAVE TO OFFER.

Let that one sink in.

They have shit personalities, but since they have a few bucks, they think that they can wave it around like, "heyyyy, I have moneeeee!!" and the women will come running.

Nope. If I don't feel good around you, it doesn't matter how much money you have, I will pass. I've dated some good-looking, rich men who thought that this meant that they could treat me any way they liked. Cue the shocked Pikachu face when I broke up with them.

[–]carlther10 points 5 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Those women whom date for money take a big risk because there is absolutely no guarantee that the scroat will spend it on you. A lot of times, the wealthiest men are also the cheapest men. My last boyfriend made 500K a year, and his house looked like a bachelor pad, minimally decorated, and he never ever spent money on me.

[–]EclecticBarbarellaFDS Disciple 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, men who are kind and generous (with everything, time, attention, emotion, care and support etc, not just cash) aren’t getting women just because of a bank account, they’re attracting women with their personality. The ones who only have money to offer are usually terrible partners, the money doesn’t mean their generous (and like you said it’s usually the opposite).

Dating JUST for money is a quick way to be financially abused

It's actually projection. They're terrified we'll figure out just how badly they need us to feel the bare minimum of "wanted".

They know everything a woman offers is vastly more valuable than money will ever be.

Don't we out earn them now anyway? As an aside, men who were too unsure of themselves to approach me a few years ago are CHASING me now - a couple sent me songs in DMs just last night and I have 4 missed calls (I was busy having a night to myself and taking a long break from dating to have bliss and joy). I'm mid-30s and doing fine. My mid and late-30s, and early 40s friends report similar. Don't fall for the BS. It's smoke and mirrors and projection.

Queens, they will always want us and in the same numbers as they did in our 20s. Unfortunately, the quality doesn't seem to improve, either. I'm not looking forward to lockdown ending when every time I left the house I'd have another dude thinking he was getting a dinner date (and yes, they ask for dinner. Reddit is the only place people think coffee dates are acceptable lmao).

Edit: Oh and, this is me literally not leaving my house for a YEAR. Just to drive it home, I'm literally sitting in my house in my pjs and they're banging down the door (that part is figurative). Just wanted to be clear on all of this. We have absolutely nothing to worry about in the BS SMV equation. LMFAOO again!

You are 💯 sis. It’s axiomatic. As long as you’re a woman, there are men who want to fuck you. The opposite is not true.

I’ve commented on this before. Prior to covid, at 34, I was still being recruited to model on the streets of NYC. If I go out today at all, at closer to 36, I have men of all stripes and ages just about falling over themselves / breaking their necks to grab a peek. And no, I don’t like it, I consider visual consumption of this nature to be a type of abuse under the patriarchy.

I’m in poor health + trying to recover from years of male violence and abuse so I’m not dating or looking. They have it totally backwards. The one thing I’m definitely not experiencing in my mid30s is a scarcity of men who want to date / fuck me

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points16 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Good for him! Golf claps all around!

Maybe he'll score a loveless relationship with a pretty young woman when all that's left for him is money (cause clearly personality isn't going to cut it), until eventually she leaves cause she's got better shit to do and higher value men to snag, and he'll be old and alone wasting away with his piles of cash. Sounds like a appreciation to me! Nothing says success like shriveling away solo because the only thing you value in a partner is looks.

We are not trading our beauty for their money. Why do they keep thinking that? What we offer is someone to love you and care about you. Just look at the epidemic of loneliness. Men are the first ones to benefit from companionship as it is shown to improve their happiness and life expectancy, and even success and motivation. Could they stop pretending they don't want this? If really they are a misanthrope who can't imagine meeting someone they like, then they should stay far out of the dating pool.

[–]Mamma_Midnight 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Dude is clearly struggling with cognition.

Beauty doesn't fade - that's youth. Youth & beauty are not the same thing. She won't 'get prettier' but she won't become uglier either: her features will be the same & it's our features that influence whether we're seen as beautiful or not.

He is not an asset - his money is the asset: he can't tell the difference between himself & his bank balance. He is not 'an appreciation asset' - his money is. He's comparing something he OWNS to something she LITERALLY IS. This is not comparing like for like. One is a possession that you can lose, the other is personal appearance that is generally fixed for life.

I'd guess that he's doing this because that's the only good thing he has going for him. An attractive women is generally attractive for life, plus she can level up & increase her personal wealth. He may have some wealth now that could potentially increase in time, but he'll never get a new face or grow extra inches. In 10 years time she can be beautiful & have personal wealth, while he'd have money but still be fugly.

People go broke, dicks go limp, men die earlier than women especially when they dont have one looking after them. But I think most importantly when you have a ugly and insufferable character (like this guy) as time goes on you will end up with no family, friends, and be empty, boring, and useless.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

“But you can’t be prettier year after year” someone’s BITTER he’ll never age as gracefully as a woman

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Ah I remember this article... A woman was asking for advice on how to marry a wealthy man. She said something about wealthy men's wives looking "average" (not sure if that's the exact word she used, but it was something to that effect) and not understanding how she, as an attractive woman, couldn't secure a wealthy man. So the author was explaining why she needs a more than beauty to secure a wealthy man. So it was basically a "pick me" complaining about why no one had picked her.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ummm I have a great career and I can say the same about my money. So I also have the "appreciation" asset. Now whether beauty depreciates remain to be seen by how well I take care of myself, but the question is do you even have something equivalent to beauty (handsome looks, fit bod) TO depreciate??? Or at least, I dunno, emotional support and/or shared interests/hobbies/things we can do together? Coz if you don't, and I already have the financials covered, then what are you offering exactly...?

[–]victoriabowen8FDS Newbie 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I need more context here. I don't even know if this is a man speaking or a woman and what they are talking about. It could be a woman talking to another woman. Woman A is doing OF and brings literally nothing else to the table besides her look, the comment does mention "If that is your only asset, your value will be much worse in 10 years" - which is true if a woman is relying just on her looks she is in for a world of hurt one day. Woman B on the other hand is focusing on her education/career and developing as a person and therefore will bring more value to the table.
