I don't see what the problem is. Women claim that men are misogynistic, toxic assholes. Men can be accused of rape with no rape kits and a false accusation. As a result, men are largely becoming not so interested in them any more. Now, they have a problem with it.

Women started getting men wrongfully terminated at work, only because they could with no proof. Men stopped talking to them at work and helping them at work. They want equality too, so why help them? I can only reiterate /u/EduBA's conclusion that the article doesn't actually blame anyone; it's a clickbait headline, although the word "choose" is poorly, er, chosen.

My suspicion would be that the plummeting birth rate is probably due to a combination of factors. If the US cost of living situation is anything like it has been here in the UK recently, and more importantly for the last decade or three, then a big factor is that people aren't setting up home and having kids because it's become impossibly expensive to do so.

I don't think women have to be doing anything outrageously evil in order to look sideways at a guy who can't pull down enough money to buy a house, because that has been a societal expectation for decades. We can validly complain that expectation is dated, unrealistic, and sexist, and to some extent exacerbated by decades of woman-centric benefits in education and employment, which is pretty hard to deny at this point. Still, that is the reality, that is what a lot of people still subconsciously expect, and I don't think someone who's succumbed to that point of view is necessarily a horrendous person. Not a wonderful person, perhaps, but I'm not going to excommunicate someone from reality for that. In the end, most guys are going to be in that income bracket from here on out. Eventually society will figure it out, though there's no harm in our poking society to do so and it's grim for the moment.

Finally, please excuse my dull-wittedness here, but:

I don't think men are actually choosing AI "girlfriends" over real women but it's rather men who find themselves with no other options who find some solace in AI. The reality is that there are some major systemic issues with the way women treat men, in dating and relationships, and no one really wants to do anything about it one way or another because it's at the current detriment of men.

They could decriminalize sex work for starters but that would be seen as anti-women because male sexuality is so vilified that all sex work is now viewed as exploitation of women. They could push for a new approach to sex work and focus on hands-on sexual therapy/teaching for men, who need these things because women won't touch them otherwise, but that kind of progressivism just doesn't exist in the "progressive" party because it doesn't fit into the female victimhood narrative. They could address the major social double-standards that disenfranchise men, or address all the ways in which women hold a disproportionate amount of power/privilege in our culture, but they won't because again that just doesn't fit the feminist victimhood narrative. They could try to fix the culture and start treating men like people again, instead of feeding into these persistent patterns of misandry. They could impose stronger regulations on online dating companies, or create their own application that isn't entirely profit driven, to better protect men from fraud and exploitation. They could encourage women to engage men more effectively, and in a more realistic and fair manner.

In order for men to want to turn to AI partners over real women, society/government has to fail men at so many different levels, and fundamentally rob them of any other alternative. None of it is actually happening though.

The problem with AI is that it is not necessarily a chatting partner most men are looking for, though that also has its uses. There is still ground to be covered before we get a full alternative to real women

I've been using the term "ruining" lately. Women are being ruined by: Dating aps, social media, and modern feminism. And this is also ruining men.

Women having too many options from dating apps (too much privilege spoils them) has ruined women for most men (a man that would actually stay with them, and love them if they hadn't had one-night-stands with so many Internet studs (AI men).

I might become an AI engineer in the future. Who knows? I might end up building a semi-emotional or emotional AI system that can adapt and mimic human behavior/expressions based on the situation and then, it's like you got yourself a very own partner with no strings attached. That will for sure get back at those women and make them jealous af.

I will do this for men. For the masculinity and dignity of men, I will always side with people of my gender and believe in traditional values. Heck, men can find feminine wives if they just look to more conservative countries.
