This is not meant to criticize or tell women what to wear so don't assume as such, please. As we have seen that guys tell their partners to not wear provocative clothes but women question it and have arguments that it makes them feel special and guys should not be insecure or jealous about it. I have some points.

  1. If women say that doing that makes them feel more confident and that men should not sexualize their bodies, isn't it like they know that men are attracted to them and their bodies? As we know that every woman knows that so when they say that it makes them feel confident, aren't they admitting that they are objectifying their bodies to receive attention which gives them a confidence boost?
  2. If men are insecure as women claim, from a woman's standpoint, the man should trust them that they will not give in to other men's advances. For the guys it is like they are advertising to the world that they are ripe for the picking. They say they have no issue with them wearing those at home but not in public where a drunk guy would make moves on her and then it might lead to an altercation.
  3. Women also cite the weather which seems a good explanation. Then it is argued that they wear those even at freezing temperatures. Women tend to have lower metabolism rates making them more impervious to cold. Also we have had situations where a guy is asked to give the girl his jacket as she is feeling cold due to her wearing those type of clothing.

I would like everyone's views on the reasons for provocative clothing. Guys don't do that much often or is there some other reasons that we don't know.
